I've taken my car in now for the same issue three times since July 2025 and we are in November now. All three times I paid of a full diagnostic and first 2 times they found no issue. First time I took it in, I was towed because my car wouldn't start and there absolutely no electricity throughout the vehicle. They said I had dirty connections on my battery and so they cleaned it and sent me on my way. 2nd time my check engine light came on, I had O'REILLYs check the code it came back gas cap leak. But then my lights started flickering and making dinging noises like when the seat belt is not on and the locks were clicking on and off. I took it in right away because i was afraid it was something like my alternator. They checked it and found nothing but the gas cap so they sent me away just for my car to leave me stranded a month later. A week ago car did the same thing with the lights flickering on and off, dinging sound and locks until the whole thing died and engine wouldn't turn over. Car broke down on a Sunday, Monday I made an appointment for that following Friday, I got towed in in Friday but they didn't get to it til the following Tuesday despite the appointment. When I dropped it off on Friday, the person doing the intake understood that this was the 3rd time I was bringing the vehicle in for the same issue, he expressed empathy and said he was going to apply tye dame -$50 discount off my diagnostic that I used last time and attach any other discount he can find to bring the cost down. I appreciated this sentiment. They replaced the battery and said it was $547 for the diagnostic and battery change but would need to charge me more to further diagnose why the new battery is draining. They told me if they don't find anything else it would just be the $547 but to look further into it its going to be $197 more plus whatever they find. If they find something simple it will be less than the extra $197. So they kept the car an extra day to "plug things in and out". Its wednesday now and they couldn't find the issue. It apparently stopped draining the new battery so they decided the car was done and I could come pick it up for $772. I am paying almost $800 for a battery swap including a 3rd diagnostic for the same ongoing issue since July and an extra diagnostic with zero findings. Where are all of these discounts I was supposed to get that were mentioned during drop off? If anything I feel like I'm being way overcharged and I can't wrap my mind around how or why. I feel beyond ripped off and I can't believe I waited so long without a car just for a battery swap that should have happened back in July. I'm pretty sure whatever the unknown sinister issue that keeps draining my battery is still there and this is not going to be the last time I have to be towed home. I am frustrated at having to pay $800 for a battery swap and zero peace of mind, I will not be bringing my vehicle back. ===========update============ 11/20 7:30am I showed up at 7:30 am today to pick up my vehicle. My service team member was not there so the person who initially did my intake, also checked me out. He explained that he wouldn't have any answers for me since he wasn't handling my account but he could read any notes regarding findings. He asked if I had any concerns. I explained to him that I was upset because this was my 3rd time brining my vehicle in for the same issue. I told him the amounts I was quoted and that I was assured if nothing else was found the total would stay at $547 and now it seems like I'm paying close to $800 for just a battery install. He expressed empathy and looked over my invoice to see if he could apply any discounts. He explained that he isn't a manager so he would me limited to what he could do. He took off the second diagnostic fee of $197 since nothing was found anyway and my parasitic draw might still be present. He was very apologetic and understanding of my concerns. My total was brought back down to $575 and paid and received my paper copy and he was so send my electronic via email. As I went to open my car I noticed my small gunmetal heart carabiner was missing off my keys. Then when I stepped into the vehicle that I had just vacuumed before I broke down, I saw red Taki chips all over my driver side mat. I didn't have time to go back in and talk to anyone so I took pictures to include them in my review. This is unacceptable, unprofessional behavior. I felt my property disrespected and I'm so offended by the lack of disregard. The back seat mats were also covered in snacks, crumbs and pistachio shells, I'm disgusted at how their service team members treat paying customer's property. Also I have children's car seat and booster seat strapped in so how was anyone back there sitting to even snack in my back seat? I did reach out to AAA review board and updated my experience regarding my price quotes for services rendered. They auto replied stating review can take up to ten days to get back to me. read more

I made an appointment at 3pm on Tuesday to do a wheel alignment. Things happened to my wheel like it was bent and had to cancel my appointment, but I was able to get the wheel on the car and then I called back for an appointment and they were able to squeeze me in at 3pm. The place is cool as they have a nice sitting area and I checked myself and gave them my keys and told me to come back in an hour. I ended up walking to Costco to look around and then I went to Inn-n-out to go pick up food. I came back to AAA and waited for 10 minutes and my car was done on time. Times for the fun part the payment, but the great news is Daniel helped me out and tried to find coupons for me to save even more money and guess what he found an extra $20 dollars off. The wheel alignment ended up being under $100 dollars which I was happy. Then, he suggested that I come back to get my fluids like brake, coolant and transmission as the color were looking old. I would highly recommend you DO NOT take your vehicle to AAA Auto Repair in Folsom. Overpriced, more then what dealers charge for same service. The main issue with my car was that it needed a fuel injector replaced. My vehicle only needed 1 fuel injector. However, according to their diagnosis of my vehicle they stated in their inspection that I needed 4 fuel injectors. Which totaled out to $1600. I knew something wasn't right with what they were trying to charge me and that I only needed 1 not 4. Daniel was who I interacted with, and I only paid for the diagnosis of my vehicle ($142) and I wish I hadn't taken it to Folsom AAA to begin with. Their payment reader wasn't working when I was picking up my vehicle, so Daniel wrote down my credit card information on a piece of paper to charge my card later in the day and said he would call me before authorizing the charge, but he never called. I did not like that my card information was written down. I would've rather done it over the phone. After taking it to a trusted and more reputable repair shop they confirmed it was 1 fuel injector needed and price was SIGNIFICANTLY less. Disappointed, but not surprised. read more

What a great place to trust them with my car. My car broke down and I had it at another place and they told me it wouldn't even get looked at for a week. That was unacceptable considering this is the car we drive our little one around in safely and in the process of moving. Brian assured me they could look at it right away. I had my car towed there and I didn't even have to be there. It was looked at right away and Brian kept me updated with the status. I had to renew my DMV registration and my friends recommended going to this location as they have the DMV kiosk. The customer service representative in the front was AMAZINGLY helpful. The DMV kiosk was self-explanatory and allowed me to pay without much trouble. There is a 2% fee when paying but otherwise convenient and printed out my registration ON THE STOP! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! I had to deal with Daniel through out my car repair and he made the entire process into the worst experience I ever had getting my car fixed. He was extremly rude to me. He was only nice to me when there were other employees around, but as soon as it was only me at the counter, he got very very condesending to me. His started to talk to me like I was a small child after I politely declined a small service that was way tooo oveerpriced like something that I could do myself for $19 in parts. No way. as soon as the other employee guy came back, his voice changed back to being nice. so absurd. My grandfather told me I should go here because he said AAA were honest. i guess that was a long time ago because now it is just way overpriced and you end up having to deal with somebody like Daniel. I should have talked to other people before i came here. two different people told me about how they had problems with their service and one person told me the engine work they had done there that had to get fixed by another shop. Brought my car here for timing belt replacement since the prices with AAA membership were cheaper. Daniel was helpful in getting a quote, applying discounts, and scheduling the appointment. The service was completed in a timely manner. 3 days later my car actually broke down and had to be towed so I was worried if it was related to the recent work. It turned out to be the max air flow sensor which seems unrelated but the timing was off a little odd. The only reason why I did take away one star was that when I picked up my car the second time, there was a car tag from another vehicle and an empty big gulp cup left behind. Also the steering wheel covered had been dirtied with grease- I think they realized that one because they removed the cover to prevent further marks. Especially now with COVID, I would hope that people will clean up after themselves... read more

I made an 8pm appointment to get an oil change since my dad found a coupon in a magazine. I arrived at exactly at 8AM and I was greeted by a friendly employee behind the counter who got me checked in pretty quickly. Before taking a seat, I asked how long it would take. He said about hour and I was pretty shocked. The reason being I originally called the El Dorado AAA repair center first since it's closer and they said it would take 3-4 hours but their earliest appointment was going to be on 12/20 so I didn't book an appointment there. Luckily I called th Folsom location and they had a lot of appointments available for 12/8 so that's how ended up there. Anyways, it didn't even take an hour, it only took 50 minutes. I was so ecstatic. Not only that but it cost me less this time around than taking it to the dealership; thanks to the coupon. Overall, they were fast, the employees I interacted with were super friendly, and they had free coffee! Their coffee machine was fancy and the employee who checked in, went above and beyond and took the time to show me how to use it. This location is still fairly new (they just opened not too long ago) so everything looks nice and new. Clean facilities, super friendly employees, and fast service. Even though I h ave a closer location from house, I'll make this my go to. Also, as a pro tip. Aim for a morning appointment if possible read more

They were absolutely horrible. They could not have been more confused and clueless if they were all there with earplugs in their ears and blindfolds working. Nobody knew what was going on and they couldn't find what was wrong with our car until my husband told them what he thought the problem was. Then they tried to charge us for the inspection (went through AAA through a fully covered accident) saying it wasn't related to our accident. OMG!!! Come to find out AAA had already even paid them. We just took our car and left and didn't have them fix anything as they were so horrible I would never trust them to fix my car correctly. They also in the middle of all of this told me the absolutely wrong thing about my car and I kept insisting it didn't make any sense. Finally the manger said, " maybe I am talking about a different car ans am wrong?" He then sort of left it at that. I asked if he could look up MY car by my name or description of my car and give me the correct info? He said he would have to get back to me. He didn't know what was going on because someone else was there last week and he would have to call him in his day off and hope he returns the call. THE MANAGER!!!!
