They have the usual fried foods. I wanted a local beer. It has several of them on draft. The best of these is probably Rhinegeist. It's about $5 for a pint. The usual whatever light shit beer is cheaper though. It's good if you like bars with a history lesson. There's all kinds of nostalgia. It features imitations of old clips from newspapers on the bar. There's stories about the death of Elvis, and other celebrity news. It gives you something to read while you wait for your beer and food. The food sounds like the usual bar stuff. If you like nostalgia themed bars you should like this bar. It's good to watch a game. They also have a good local beer selection. read more

I had really high hope for this place because: 1. I love chicken wings 2. I live close by But it was quite a dissatisfying experience. I ordered the wings to go. Since they said the wings are also good by themselves, I got the wings naked with honey bbq sauce on the side. They don't give you celery for the wings, just an fyi. When I opened the box, the wings looked quite sad. They looked like they hadn't been seasoned and they were drenched in oil. The bottom of the foil was purely oil. The wings were subpar, they tasted old and stale. NBD. There was little to no seasoning, ok. The bones break apart. There was some nice smoky flavor within the meat, but the skin was just greasy and covered in oil. I like mine a little more crispy. This is just not the kind of wings that I enjoy. The honey bbq sauce was pretty good, it more of a honey mustard than honey bbq imo. The wings are better with the sauce, because the sauce covers the oily flavor. I ordered a 12 piece wings, had 4, and couldn't bear myself to finish the rest. They are now sitting in my fridge and I'm pretty certain I won't touch them again. So now, I also need to deal with food waste. read more

You can get them with sauce, but before you slather them in anything, the wings are SO good all on their own. Knockbacks is also a pretty cool bar on its own, though I haven't spent any length of time inside since pre-covid. It's got great dive-bar vibes though and if the rest of the menu is half as good as the wings, then I'd imagine it's pretty decent! We approached the bar to get some drinks and the pathetic service continued. Will absolutely never return to this place. If I was to open a bar, this is the vibe I'd want. Good food, nice people, on the verge of being a dive. Not really trying to be anything it's not. I love the odds/ends memorabilia that makes up the bar itself. Pictures, ticket stubs, magazine covers, all laminated into the bar makes it fun. We arrived in Cincinnati on Opening Day, to celebrate our Reds and get married in one of our favorite places- Great American Ballpark! After we tied the knot we were looking for a celebratory drink. We unsuccessfully tried the other "fancy" place on the other corner(we know better now). They were just too busy . The lovely employees at Town Place Suites recommended we walked a few more feet down to Knockbacks!! Best decision! They were actually busy! 3 deep at the bar, all the tables full inside and out! We received quick and friendly service from Brook, within SECONDS! We loved the vibe so much we returned on Saturday and once again had friendly and quick service but this time from Eddie! We even met a few employees on their day off(this says a lot) and the door guy on his very first day. Not sure what playlist they use but the house music was everything I dream of for a chill night out. If we lived in Cincy this would be our place.
