Not as modern as some of the other apartment buildings we saw, but the size of our unit more than makes up for it. Management is relatively quick to respond to issues. I moved in July 10. Since then, we have had issues getting maintenance orders responded to in a timely manner (took about a week to repair the broken washer), though management communicated it was due to the head of maintenance being out so they were understaffed. Another issue I've noticed is with recycling - there is a large compactor at the entrance of the community that is absolutely chock full. So full that people had no choice but to place their recycling outside resulting in a huge pile of cardboard. The biggest issue is the package room. Every single building in the community has their own package room - but packages are extremely commonly delivered to the incorrect building, so it becomes a game of checking each building for your package. Overall I still have enjoyed living here so far, but it definitely has its quirks.

Edgewater Place Condominiums is old apartment building. The rental units are old and updated and…read morenot well maintained by the owners. The Heating systems are horrible. You need four humidifiers to keep you healthy. The place is run by a Board of Trustees rules about noises and parking, if you break a rule, you will be fined. When the Board of Trustees create issues, they do not fix them, they just ignore them. The parking lot was redone, and the parking spaces are super small. The trustees do not fix this issue, they just ignored it. I have an extra small parking space. It is a seven point to pull the car of out and four attempts to get my car into this space. I am not able to open my car door. I must squeeze in and out of my car. When I complained about this issue, I was told I could rent a space from another resident. The trustees hired a weatherproofing company to redo the balcony doors. This company had a mishap and I have Epoxy all over my car. The weatherproofing company gave me a small check to get my car fixed. I am expected to pay out of pocket to get my car fixed. I will eventually get reimbursed. I am still missing a screen in the living area. The screens were removed on August, 2021. I would not recommend this place to any renters. Renters pay rent and are not treated well around this place.

It is only a 10-minute walk to the North Quincy T station, which is very convenient. Unfortunately, it is not well lit and there are not sidewalks, so it is a bit precarious at night and during the winter. The foyer was recently updated with paint, new furniture, plants, etc.; the elevator updated with beautiful new tile, and all of the hallway carpeting replaced. Entry to the building is by key-fob or buzzer only, and the foyer is monitored by video camera. I have always felt very, very safe there. The tenants/owners are a mix of young families (more and more babies lately), young professionals, and middle-aged folks. I've never had an issue with loud neighbors or any sort of disturbance. The building is not pet-friendly and is also non-smoking. The pool is open memorial day - labor day, I believe. It isn't heated, but it's so nice to have a private place to enjoy a dip! There is a community room by the pool, which includes restrooms and a sauna (out of order and used as a closet). The community room is pretty dingy, which is too bad because it would make a great place to have a baby shower, birthday party, etc. If your unit is in the front of the building, your private balcony has an unfortunate view of the parking lot and the highway. However, if you're in the back, you've got a stunning spot to watch the sun set, the 4th of July fireworks, and the Neponset river. There are walking trails very close by, as well as a supermarket/gym within a mile. Very close to the highway. If you've got a bike, there is a locked bike room especially for you. Mobility issues? No problem, you can take the elevator! There are two! Amy Nutter of the Niles Company (Building Management) is notoriously hard to get ahold of. BUT, on-site maintenance (His name is "D") is absolutely phenomenal and is also available for side-jobs, like fixing your garbage disposal, etc. Trotsky, who cleans the hallways early in the morning, is a wonderful guy, and has even given me a lift to the train a few times! Building maintenance does a PHENOMENAL job of clearing the snow. Your deeded parking spot will e kept clean. Seriously- these folks are out there plowing as soon as the snow starts to fall. I have never had an issue getting to my car. The pathways are also salted and the foyer is kept fry in the snow/rain. Also- there is ample guest parking as well as a little bit of street parking. Tenants/Owners atre very respectful about parking spaces- I've never had anyone park in mine!
