First, as an Internet Service Provider, Knology is extremely fast - we appreciate it. Secondly, the Cable/TV Service is OUTDATED. The search engine that Knology uses, for searching programs, was used back in late 1990s. I don't want to have to scroll through every date to find a show I want to record or watch; plus Knology only allows you to forward ONE week, and you better know the date! Plus I don't want to spend my time scrolling through a huge list...that is time consuming. Other cable companies you can key the name of the show. Prior to Knology, I could watch past airings of shows I missed. For example, I was out of town for 2 weeks...when I returned I realized I didn't record a specific show. So, I brought up the search on my previous cable company's box, and it listed all the episodes for the month. I selected the one's I missed and started watching them. This makes it so much easier and flexible because you DON'T HAVE TO RECORD every episode of a show. As for the phone, going to Knology from Vontage, now I have to purchase a caller ID...more money spent. Right now I AM NOT a big fan of Knology and WOULD NOT recommend them, unless it is strictly as a price comparison. Knology service is so 1990's and this is 2012! Internet seems to always be going out. They are fairly fast at getting the issue resolved but I should not have to continually call every other week because my Internet is out again! read more

Horrible service, slow connection, bad image, stupid cable box is always resetting it self, takes hours to be able to use ago, bad customer service, came out to look at it said there was nothing to be done it was my tv and the guy wanted to go home early, I would no recommend this services to my worst enemy, I'm about to say the heck with knology and just use Hulu or Netflix How can a company allow its self to run and operate so poorly, the CEO so be ashamed of his crappy company read more

I realize most internet companies have terrible customer service, but Knology is the worst that I've experienced. I've had to call them for an internet outage, only for the repair man to show up several days later and reconnect a wire that no one but someone from knology could have disconnected. I've had to have my bill adjusted on multiple occasions. Each time, they can't quite get it right. I cancelled my service when I moved away two months ago and they are still sending me bills. Stay away!!!! We have had knology/wow for a few years. I honestly can't say why we have had them as long as this because we have had nothing but problems with their service and their handling of issues. They actually just called me (twice in a row, first they didn't respond when I said 'hello', then they called back and asked if I had a billing question) at 1:30 in the morning to follow up on an issue I already spent hours trying to resolve over the phone w/them today. Seriously?! 1:30 AM? That was the final straw. I am so past done with this company. Just a list of their past issues: - Our phone line CONSTANTLY goes out and they cannot figure out why. - They told me what type of modem to buy to avoid their monthly fee, then after purchasing it they tell me I cannot use my own modem. - their installer zip tied a broken plastic service box that was filling up with water instead if replacing it (causing interruptions in service) even after we called and told them it was broken (they finally replaced this when they changed our service type) - they loosely ran wires around 3 sides of my home, dealing it around doors and then ran it into that broken box, then back out and around 2 of the 3 sides again. It doesn't even make sense! Move your BROKEN box - every time they reset my phone line because its always going out, I lose my voicemails and my greeting and have to reset my password etc. I am also without a phone line for a day or two at a time before they fix it (again) - You wait on hold for extreme amounts of time to talk to customer service (and most of them are pretty ghetto sounding) - their Internet is half of what they say it is. I tested it on multiple devices directly plugged in (not on wireless router) and it is not what it's supposed to be. This is the 2nd time we used them. A few years ago my MIL set it up for my husband when he was in college at their condo. It was constantly dropping service then also. Not much has changed but the name. Same crappy company and service. If you want to pay a company to add stress and burdens to your life, sign up with these guys. read more

I wish I could give them no stars. They are the absolute worst. I had comcast and was very happy with them. Then I moved and Knology has an monopoly where I live now so I had to get them. Over the phone we went over prices and they told us that for an extended basic with the highest speed internet it would cost just under $100 a month, with the first month being $128 because of installation fees. The lady also told us that for the first 3 months we will get free HBO as a promotion deal and after those 3 months we can decide if we want to keep it or not. We told her that we really don't want it since we will not use it but she said it is free so she will put it on. The guy that came to install the cable and internet was actually very nice and did his job very well. We paid him the $128 and thought we were set for the month. About 10 days later we received another bill for $67.70. I called them up because we did not know what it was for. We talked to this guy who said we were being charged extra for the HBO and higher speed internet. We told him what the other lady said and he told us that they do not do a 3 month HBO promotion and the price for the fastest internet was a lot more than what she told us and we get billed twice for it. He told us that they will take off the HBO and give us the standard high speed internet and also take off the $67.70. A week later I checked to see if they did take off the bill and they never did. So when we called a third time we talked to another lady. She was very rude, and told us that we have to pay the $67.70 even though we were lied to and that the other guy told us he would take it off. Now with their cable and internet. The cable is just average nothing special. The internet even the highest speed does sometimes cut in and out and it often gets very slow. I am very unhappy with them and I will never recommend them to anyone. If they are the only cable company you can get I will advise you to get a dish! read more
