Honestly, the Halloween season is by far more interesting and I had a better time, but that's a personal preference and I guess the general populus are more Christmas than spooky seasoned pilled. It's worth going to just to kill time and if you're not paying the full ticket price. Lots of decorations all over the park (unlike Disney where some parts are the same throughout the year) and there are way more shows and forms of entertainment than during the spooky season. I've never seen the theater being used before, but there was a massive line that was upstairs and downstairs and also stretching out towards the Boardwalk for Snoopy on Ice. There are people waiting over an hour for the outdoor stage shows and for the Bird Cage Theater and rides that generally are walk on or have quick turn around times were at least 2 hours when we were there. Insane that I don't think they cap the park attendance like Disney. With that in mind, there's definitely more going on. We got to see and walk past a couple stage performances and I love that the Peanuts gang have holiday fits for photo opportunities. You can see Santa in his cabin up until the 24th, but afterwards, Snoopy takes over. There's holiday market items from local vendors there, Camp Snoopy has a small candy cane valley you can peer into and the Woodstock rubber duckies are on presents this time around. I went on actual Halloween Day during the spooky season and had no issues getting on rides and watching shows (even without fast passes), but other than eating and wandering around, couldn't do anything for Merry Farm and we were still several days before Christmas. Seasonal food options are more limited and less interesting than what was offered during Spooky/Scary Farm, think normal fast food with cranberry sauce or gravy or something, so this was just okay. Fine for when you're not paying full price and are fine with just walking around and looking at things, but if you're paying full price for an entire family that would rather be on their iPads, this is not the play. read more

We were at Knott's Merry Farm on the first day of the year, so I found it would be fitting for them to be my first review of 2026. Knott's during the holidays is a must. Everything is decorated for the season all over the entire park, with garlands, lights, candy canes, bows, a huge Christmas tree, holiday music, holiday performances, holiday items for purchase, foods, drinks, etc. Note that after the holidays, items with Knott's Merry Farm are sold at 50% off, which includes shirts, sweaters, drink ware, backpacks, however it does exclude ornaments. My favorite part of the holidays at Knott's sounds silly, but it's the "snow" that lasts about 2 minutes in Ghost Town directly across from the Ghost Rider entrance. Lights are turned down, a storyteller's voice comes on, "snow" falls, and the music of John Williams', Somewhere In My Memory plays. I literally just stand there, looking up with hands out, in awe and loving the moment. It brings me back to my younger years when life was simpler, transports me to the North East as if I'm having a truly white Christmas, the kind we all dreamed of as kids. It brings warmth and love, peace and quiet, a childhood full of hopes and dreams, wonderful magic, and time just moves in slow motion. Silly right? It truly happens to me when I am there. These "snow" times start at about 5:30 pm or 6:30 pm and occurs hourly with the last one at 9:30. If you haven't already been to Knott's Merry Farm, you should plan on it, especially if you spent your childhood and young adult years walking the grounds of this park. You'll thank yourself for going and who knows...maybe you'll feel the magic of the holidays again like you once did as a child. read more

In short: fun, festive holiday themed Knott's Berry Farm, just needs more staff. This wasn't our first time at Knott's, but we enjoy the holiday decor and Snoopy on Ice show so we braved the elements on a cold, rainy NYE to enjoy it while it lasted. The place was well decorated and still mostly operational, with plenty of food and drink options, rides and shows to keep you entertained. Our largest complaint was that although it wasn't busy (probably due to the weather), staffing was sparse so it felt busier than it should have. For example, there were only a few people in front of us for funnel cake, but there was one register open. Many of the rides were closed, so the ones that did still had a half-hour wait. Plus, the main parking was closed so we had to park around the corner. With those complaints aside, Knott's is a fun place to visit especially during the holidays, and feels more relaxed and low-key than the mouse-house down the street. read more

I look forward to Knotts Merry Farm every single year! They decorate the grounds festively. The theme is on point. They always have the Christmas market stalls which feature homemade goods. At night, the have "snow" at ghost town. They have my favorite Snoopy on Ice which is so well done with acrobatics and the true meaning of Christmas! December Visit- 2025- The Christmas Decorations really blow Disneyland out of the water (only has it in the front at Main Street and at the Haunted Mansion, that's it). The Christmas season decor is located everywhere. It's not just lights, it's the poinsettias in all of the foliage, it's the candy canes at the water feature at Camp Snoopy, it's all of the trees adorned with strings of lights, it's the beautiful red velvet ribbons around the trees in the front of the Property, it's the grand tree at Calico Square, a popular picture spot. Also, another popular picture spot is at the very front, of the park, with an enormous Christmas decorations display, which includes a huge teddy bear, and numerous adorned Christmas trees. Unseasonably Warm Weather- some people were in tank tops! PSA: Do not let your kids run around in the mornings, as the floor is wet and slippery from them cleaning the floor. (Also, in the Peanuts Marketplace store, do not let your kids run around, because, one child knocked right into a candle and broke it. Yes, we witnessed it.) Location- Across from the Bumper Cars ride We visited sunday through tuesday. We have never caught an ice skating show, but we did that on sunday. It's a rare thing, since we have hardly visited on the Weekend. It was great. Such top-notch entertainment. Ten skaters- seven female, three male, and a couple of aerial performers too. It is a family-friendly attraction. The theater is huge, and guests are packed in there. FYI: Bathrooms- signs posted for not taking pictures inside. There are no mirrors except the one at Ghost Town, has a large mirror, not a full size, but at least, you can check your face for smeared makeup. We skipped "the Snow." We caught the Livery animals- goats, horses We also saw the very talented wood carver, working on some projects. This man's work is very very good. It's absolutely beautiful, his artistic range. Sky Cabin @ The Boardwalk was not available. Also, there are very few updates on the app on Ride Closures. read more

Good place to hang out for the day, especially for families or a big group. They have Christmas everything! All the trees, decorations, Santa's workshop, Christmas stands, holiday foods, etc. Plus shows like Snoopy on Ice or a Christmas Carol! The kids (including my inner one) will love it, and there's rides and fair games everywhere. You will literally never run out of things to do. UPDATE: the holiday items have changed throughout the years but my favorite the last two years is definitely the Christmas Cookie Milkshake Hazy IPA! It's amazing! They also have other seasonal drinks such as margaritas and mules but if you love beer, you HAVE to try that IPA. They have a lot of cute desserts too but sad they took out the tasting card. There are a couple new rides and areas that were redone but gotta love all the Christmas lights and vibes throughout the park. Definitely always a good time and the season passes are so much more affordable compared to Disneyland (which always seems to keep getting more expensive each year). We had a great two days at Knott's Merry Farm! Although Christmas is over (date of this post 12/31/25), they still have the decorations up and live carolers performing until January 1. The crowd was heavy on 12/29, but less so on 12/30. Also, pay attention to the holiday hours posted on their app. Knott's opens at 9 AM, one hour earlier than their normal business hours. read more

We tend to go here every year and we like seeing how the park changed. We went to camp snoopy to see all of the changes. I did like the changes quite a bit as they had a cute Snoopy Roller Coaster. I went during the weekday as the line was not too long. They let adults ride, but only 1 adult per cart as the maximum is 300 pounds. The upgrade train ride was alright, but it was relaxing. I prefer the old one and sometimes the audio does not work. For the meet in greet, we saw snoopy on the main stage, while Linus, Lucy, Charlie Brown and Linus are located near the gift shop. I wish they would bring back the shows there as it was a good place to take a break and I enjoyed watching the shows. If you go on the weekdays (Mon-Thursday), you will not experience all Knott's Merry Farm. They do not have the ice skating showing, shows in the bird cage theatre, some of the food places are closed like baked potato place, the holiday stands near ghost rider and the tator tot place near the front. They do close down Calico River Rapids and Sky Tower to do maintenance or want to save money. Here are some tips, on Friday to Sunday, do come at around before 9am. People tend to line up to get into the park. At 9:15am, they open up the security line and at 9:30am, they let you inside the park. They only have Ghost Rider open at that time, but I highly suggest going there first if as the line will get extremely long. I end up getting at least 2 rides before 10am, but after the 30 minutes, the line can be as long as an hour. They do open the gift shops during ghost town After 10am, they open up the entire park. Be aware some of the rides do not open on time and might have the wait. During the weekdays, the park opens at exactly at 10am including all of the rides. But they follow the same routine, they open the security line at 9:15am, 9:45am they let us in the park, however, we can not line up at ghost rider until at 10am. During the weekdays, I tend to get on a lot more rides as the lines are no more than 15 to 30 minutes and more relaxed and all about getting in on the rides. Weekends, it is more of waiting in line and enjoying the shows. I usually skip the shows in the bird cage theatre and night show near the mine ride on the big stage as that can get crowded and clustered. I spend my time going to see the night before snoopy. If you want a great seat, I recommend going an hour and 15 minutes. This reminds me of black Friday. They open one side of the door to control the crowd. However, be aware of some of the people can be rude and reserve rows of seats even though they are not allowed too as all of the party must be present, but some people do not care. Food wise I do like eating the chorizo ravioli at the pizza place. I do enjoy the boysenberry ice cream as well. I wish they do bring back the steak sandwich as that was my thing I ate every day and went at 10:30am. I do like going into Santa's cabin to get a cookie, however this year was disappointed that Santa Snoopy only shows up after Christmas. I would recommend taking the Sky Tower at night to see the lights as Ghost town looks awesome. The other is going to Camp Snoopy as they lite up the place quite nicely. The mascots do come out. Snoopy and the gang are at Camp Snoopy, Brawny, Boysen Bear and Moxie are at the Beary tales ride and Whittles is near Calico River Rapids. Overall, I had a great time here and looking forward to coming back. Overall a great experience and can not wait to do this again. read more

You can go day and/or night. On a Saturday afternoon between Christmas and NYE, roller coaster lines were 30-60+ minutes, but food and kid ride lines were pretty short. There was good room to move around during the day. The park seemed to get more crowded after dark. Faves from the 2023 Holiday Season: -Snoopy's Night Before Christmas ice skating show! WOW! Even having read good things beforehand, we were unprepared for what a treat this "Cirque on Ice" performance was. Snoopy and the Peanuts gang, figure skating to both jolly and solemn takes on holiday tunes, aerial acrobatics, snowfall, bubbles, and even LIVE DOVES! -Meeting Snoopy at Santa's Christmas Cabin (under 5 minute wait!), which also offers food and drink stalls featuring mulled wine, hot cocoa, spiced cider, holiday desserts, etc. -Snow and Glow: in the evening, snow falls hourly in Ghost Town on Main Street and Schoolhouse Road. -Glassblowing: master artisan Myles Freedman creates gorgeous handblown ornaments, glassware, jewelry, and more! You can place a custom order for Myles to bring to life whatever you fancy. I love Knott's Merry Farm, it's definitely one of the best times to visit the park! I've been coming for the past couple of years and this year the whole entire park seemed to be decorated and lit up which was wonderful. The Boardwalk area had tons of lovely string lighting, Christmas trees and even Hangtime has special Christmas lighting on the coaster and it's own set of trees in front. New this year seemed to be the transformation of The Charleston Circle Fountain which got a brand new icicles look complete with swans and everything, this was definitely a great addition and photo op. Ghost Town is the other area that really goes above and beyond during the holidays with all the decorations and lights and it let's you feel what it was like to be back in the old west during the holidays. I love that during this time they have the Christmas Crafts Village which features a huge variety of vendors selling so many wonderful items. I've managed to buy some jewelry from one of the vendors. Ghost Town also features the Calico Tree Lighting which I finally was lucky enough to catch this year and I loved it, it's a mini show with a few songs from the citizens of Calico leading up to the lighting. Very fun and unique. They have a huge variety of shows during Merry Farm such as the Calico Saloon Christmas Show, Snoopy Ice Show, A Peanuts Guide To Christmas and many others. I usually try to catch my favorite show which is Krazy Kirk and The Hillbillies, they are usually in the Bird Cage Theater and they put on an amazing show and it's definitely funny and worth checking out. This year I did manage to buy some exclusive Knott's Merry Farm merchandise, they had a lot of cute warm coats, hats and things that I really loved. I also managed to try a few of the seasonal items, lots of the yummy desserts were offered in Santa's Christmas Cabin. I tried the chocolate dipped cheesecake which had green white chocolate and peppermint pieces on top, it was quite yummy. Also the red velvet fudge bites were a nice snack as well. I highly recommend coming to Knott's Merry Farm, it's fun, there's lots to do, lots to see and lots to eat and you'll have an amazing time. I usually try to come every year the weekend after Thanksgiving and while it can get very crowded during the evenings it's worth it. read more

November 2020 I know Covid19 has caused many social gatherings to come to a halt but I'm really glad Knotts used the park to incorporate mode Food Festivals for guests. Visible markers are placed throughout the park and temperature screenings are done before bag check. Some characters were available for photo ops; Franklin, Charlie Brown, and Snoopy. I loved their Christmas event was so well put together and pretty. there were over 60 menu items to chose from and to select only 5 was difficult for me cause everything looked so good! I tried their spicy cranberry wings, the popcorn chicken bowl with cheese and fries, the cookie with strawberry soft serve, empanadas, and corn chowder in a bread bowl. The event was a bit crowded which made me nervous during covid. Parking was free and convenient. Bring ziplocks as you might have leftovers like I did. Park itself we love. Major complaint about the disability pass concerning Ghostrider. How are you going to have disability pass holders stand in line with people in fastpass and go up stairs if you don't have a wheelchair. Needless to say because of this my doctor will have to reexamine my injured knees and the girl working the back stairs was rude as hell and disrespectful to put it nicely this occurred today Nov 13th at 6:30pm. I'm literally in tears and in pain because I had to stand so long. Me personally even though I love ghostrider because of the treatment of this woman I will double think ever getting on the ride they need more people like Taj who tried to assist everyone who was trying not to take up the elevator so those who are in wheelchairs can utilize that service not ask people to stay in line with others and go up and stand in line for longer then 30 mins. read more

Knott's merry farm was overall fun and definitely not as crowded as Disneyland. The only thing is that the rides here just don't feel as well thought out their counterparts in Disneyland. The best example of this is calico mine ride compared to Pirates of the Caribbean. It utilizes a lot of humanoid robotics to tell a story of how miners once searched for gold but the whole feeling of this and the movements these robots made were just not up to the same standard as what you'll see in Pirates of the Caribbean. Other than this, the highlight of the park is probably their rollercoasters, which are pretty amazing. I did really like walking through through ghost town as there were alot of things to see, eat, and do here. My favorite shows were Snoopy on Ice and Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies. Both were entertaining. I really love how Snoopy on Ice actually proclaimed the true meaning of Christmas with Christ Jesus's birth. Just awesome. read more

Love this time of the year ! They have an area where they have artificial snow and it feels magical ! They have Christmas decor all around the park. I would live if they have more Christmas lights and trees but what can you expect for what you're paying? I been an annual pass holder for the last 3 years and enjoy the park all year round. Maybe we can try to up the experience by having seasonal Christmas food and having a food card like what they do for the boysenberry festival. I'm sure it will attract more attention. read more

This review is for Knott's New Year party. It is crowded, to the extent that the crowd can sometimes become a bit scary. At some point, the traffic was stopped and we were stuck in the crowd. The staff tried to block people from walking to the passage way, which caused the blockage. Knott's is not the best when it comes to traffic control. Parking can be difficult when you enter the park as well. The entertainment is top-notch. Martini pop is simply AMAZING! The singers, Matty and Alexis, are the best swing band singers you would ever meet. All the musicians were very talented, and the martini pop dancers were a lot of fun, and created a great ballroom 1940 ambiance. Don't miss this event! Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies is our must-go, but the speaker was too loud that day, making them sound squeaky. read more

They were definitely over capacity 12/27/19. You could barely move! The Christmas market is fun, but that's all we basically did. Lines for food were LOOOONG. We wated 1 1/2 hours to eat lunch, and the food booths were no better. Our waitress was not only taking orders at Johnny Rockets, she was cooking, too! We felt so badly, she was hustling! We didn't really bother with the rides, nothing was below 90 minutes. We waited an hour to see the Merry Christmas Snoopy ice show and weren't able to, which would be fine if they hadn't been letting anyone and everyone through the disabled entrance. We saw multiple groups of able-bodied teens running through this entrance while the rest of us did the right thing and stayed in the correct line. When they stopped seating people, multiple children began to cry. I would have happily gave up my seat for them. It just seemed poorly organized and none of the staff seemed to have a clue as to what was going on. My mom tried to ask for information just so she knew what happened and they were all very unhelpful. I'm not sure if they just didn't expect the crowds or what, but we didn't stay long, 8 hours at the most. They couldn't have squished more bodies in if they tried. We heard others saying how disappointed they were, and it's unfortunate because this isn't an everyday trip for most of us. We're very fortunate to even get to go to Knotts, but if you're planning a trip...don't go to Knotts Merry Farm. read more

I was there yesterday, I was soo happy it was kinda empty, my problem is that I travel from Las Vegas and my kids love the rides and my wife loves the glazed almonds, and our tradition is that we get a few candy's for the kids and some almonds for my wife , I went to the candy shop and the only had one bag of almonds and when I asked the young lazy girl , she said I think there from yesterday, and I asked her will you be making more cause I would like to buy like six packs, and she said yes , by 1 pm they should be ready , it was 11am and she was just standing there with another girl doing nothing just talking and I know this cause there ignore me while I was at the register , so I went back at two and there was still no almonds, and now there was three girls there and only one looked as she was doing some kind of inventory and when I asked her about the almonds she told no that's all we have and when I told her , you told me to came back at 1 , she jump and said that was a estimate and got my kids and left with my wife , not wanting to argue, but she had a bad attitude and she really was not doing anything, I think some time they just hire kids with bad attitudes that don't want to work or do there jobs read more
