This is my first time here. I love trying out different places. We sat outside since it was a beautiful day. There menu is QR Code. It's a very casual place. There are tables outside , some with chairs others with benches. They are surprisingly comfortable. In ordered the fat head Willy beer. It was really good! For lunch I ordered the Swiss burger. The young man asked how I wanted it cooked. Apparently they don't do wounded. So I settled for medium. It was perfect! It came with thin fries and a side of ketchup. Completely worth the price and gladly would do it again. But they have other items on the menu that I want to try. Knotty Pine Brewing might be out new go to place. One of my sadnesses in life is that this business appears on the ale trail every year. I make a point to try the breweries beer when visiting and this year was just rough. I got the lite beer which was way hoppier than the "light tasting" promise on the menu. My husband ordered the amber ale which was entirely unpalatable. Our server was kind enough to replace it for another beer. The outdoor patio is lovely. The pretzel we got was great and the staff were super friendly, helpful, and attentive. Great time here. This a great place on a weeknight to grab a burger and beer or have a nice night on the weekend. Staff is always friendly, and there are plenty of tables. I've been to Knotty Pine with friends several times and it's always a disappointment. On my most recent trip, I had the brunch chicken and hot honey biscuit. Every ingredient was a letdown, minus the hot honey. The biscuit was ... Odd. Very weird texture, no flavor. The chicken was overcooked tenders with no seasoning. They forgot my hot honey in the kitchen, but it certainly helped once they brought it out. The potatoes were good, but it was the tiniest portion. (Literally like 1/4 of a cup?) Having bacon on the sandwich was a weird choice, imo. The service is fine. Wait staff was nice and the food came out quickly. Overall, though? There are far better options in the area. read more

They have a small parking lot in the back, but there are street parking all around. Highly recommend sitting on the covered patio if weather permits, but they have plenty of space inside. We were here for brunch and you should definitely get the French toast bites! Service can be a little iffy, but everyone was nice. Our first round of coffee was burnt which was off-putting and the cups are cute, but holds the tiniest amount of coffee so you're constantly asking for refills. Knotty Pine strikes me as trying to be a Jack of All Trades but ends up being a Master of None. There's something for everyone. The inside is comforting to the eye being all woody and cabin-ey, but it's also decked out with TVs for sports viewing. Then there's the outside patio which is nice and shaded for those really warm days, but it's right on 3rd Ave and has somewhat of an urban feel rather than one of a secluded hideaway. I guess it depends on how you like your patios. For a brewery they only have four house brews on tap. They attempt to make up for it with a large list of guest taps. Food wise, their good looking brunch menu fell victim to underwhelming taste for the chorizo hash and egg sandwich. What's more, the order we initially received was an egg sandwich WITH NO EGG and the brisket hash. Our server mistakenly gave us someone else's food due to the similar orders, but we quickly were provided our requested dishes. It was a nice touch that we were able to keep the brisket hash at no cost, and it exceeded the flavor of the chorizo hash... but not by a lot. Overall, it's hard to give the experience anything above 3 stars. read more

Ordered the house burger, cooked medium well - cooked perfect and great flavor. Had a classic mule with ketel one, so good and refreshing. The service was good- the you g man working the bar took our orders and came back to check on us regularly. Forgot to take pictures of appetizers we ordered- however the pretzels and the house stuffed tatter tots were excellent- 10/10 would definitely recommend. the coconut shrimp was a favorite, but still tasty. We were sat at a round table near the bar, service was a bit slow, but I think that's because we were part of the bartenders area. Ordered up a flight with three Knotty Pine Brews and one guest tap. Couple of things that struck me odd. #1, plastic cups. My beverage flight was served in small old school plastic food service cups. Felt cheap and did not enhance the experience. #2, there were some sort of particles floating in the bottom of one of my beers. I first thought that it was a dirty glass, but another person in the group had the same beer, so it's either a dirty tap, or an unfiltered brew. Not sure which, but was not appealing to look at. #3, the flight board itself was gross. It had some sort of gummy, sticky, dirty goop build up on the surface. A good scrubbing is needed. read more

This place is definitely underrated. Love coming here for dinner and brunch! Both are excellent!! They smoke their own pork in house and it's amazing along with make their own ketchup and sauces too. I would highly suggest getting the pretzels for an app or the nachos with a side of bbq. That's a favorites for me! I went to Knotty Pine recently for a group dinner and everybody had a nice time. It was pretty quiet on a Tuesday evening, but we had a reservation and were seated promptly. The server was prompt and polite. I thought the menu had something for everybody and our group was split pretty well between salads and burgers. I started out with the sangria, which was not too sweet and kind of fizzy, very refreshing. For dinner, I had the seasonal salad and a side of fries, which was a kind of spinach salad with roasted veggies on top, and some cheese. I really enjoyed the vinaigrette, and the veggies had a great cumin smell and flavor. We also had the soft pretzel to start, which was a hit with the whole table - I liked the mustard dipping sauce best, and I'm not really a mustard fan! Note that the parking lot is tiny, and it's street parking, one way, so be prepared for that. read more

I came here for brunch. The breakfast I ordered was eggs, bacon, potatoes, and toast (I gave the bacon to my friend as I don't eat meat). For $8, I thought that was a solid amount of food at a good price. Usually a hip brewery's brunch is way pricier. That meal tasted good. Also ordered a cinnamon roll for $8. It was fine but that was where the excessive priced hip brewery. I've had cheaper and better tasting/quality cinnamon rolls at cafes so not particularly worth it unless your sweet tooth is really craving it. I think I drank an entire pot of their coffee so my apologies to our server for continuously asking for refills. I don't drink alcohol so I can't really speak to the heart of what this is place is about which is brewing and their beers. My friends seemed happy with their decisions. Knotty Pine seems like a solid spot. I enjoyed it at least for brunch and conversation so it fulfilled what we were looking for. read more

What a hidden gem! I have lived in Grandview for the past year and never knew about this place. I came here on a Friday night with quite a large group and they were easily able to accommodate us. There is seating inside plus outside on their enclosed and heated patio. They have about 10 of their own beers on tap, plus many other from Ohio breweries. I got a flight of 4 for $9 and all were delicious. I also got the BBQ pork nachos with were loaded with pulled pork, beer cheese, black bean and corn salsa, and jalapeños. Much better bang for your buck than the soft pretzels someone else at my table got, which only came with 2 pretzels. Other people got pizzas and ribs, which all looked very good. Can't wait to return when the weather is warm to enjoy the spacious patio! read more

What a cute little restaurant! It's very small but also quite intimate. I loved the décor; the stained wooden tables and creaky hardwood floor. The menu wasn't massive but it had enough variety on it for us. We tried the coconut shrimp and that was extremely tasty! You could really taste the coconut but not to a point where it was overpowering. I tried the grilled chicken sandwich which was pretty good, it just had way too much BBQ sauce on it. That's basically all I could taste. It was drenched to the point that I was covered in it; my hands, my face, all of my napkins. So next time I try these guys I will get the sauce on the side!! No complaints about the American burger that my hubby ordered. He said it was fresh and delicious, especially since he added bacon to it. I'm sure we'll be returning! read more

Nice patio. Inside is decent as well. We were there at Saturday brunch so they were busy but not overly busy. We walked in and was seated right away. Took forever to get food though, and the waitress spilled sauce on one person in our group as she was brining food. The food was meh. 2 of us had a lunch item with fries, the fries were cold and over cooked, like they had been under a heat lamp for way too long long, they use shoestring fries so once they are over done that it's they are like little sticks off a tree. We ordered a bunch of small plates and shared everything (see pics posted of what we ordered). The Pepperoni Pizza was the best. It was delicious! It tasted like they made it in a stone oven. So it has been long enough that I decided to try them one more time - I wanted brunch, I was interested in seeing if they had improved their beers, and I wanted to get out of my neighborhood. So - service wise, they've gotten better. The bartender was busy AF - so I don't fault her for not being on top of me (and the people in the corner with their drunken awkward conversation over several mimosas). She was fast with my first drink (Irish coffee with brown sugar) and mimosas. Notice I didn't mention their beer? They had one on tap. So I skipped it, as it wasn't one I was crazy about. Next time. I ordered steak and eggs (med rare, over easy) and it was seasoned well, but their knife sucked - it was a pain to cut! But the meal was good - a decent cut of steak. So Knotty Pine has improved their service and their food - enough that i will come back sooner rather than later (I mean, I live in Powell. I'm out of place in Powell. They also have a fabulous house made Bloody Mary mix - hands down the best I've ever had. The food is all fantastic. I typically get the egg sandwich because it's always a 10/10 entree. They even make their own ketchup which is delicious and has a little spicy kick. The fries are great, too. The service here is the best. This was a great brunch place! I have been for dinner but our server was amazing and so punctual. They accommodated a group of 10 very well. I loved the "double" mimosa option, very fun! This breakfast was a lot of sweet potato so I wouldn't recommend if you don't love those, but it was good for me! My friend got the cinnamon French toast bites and they were divine. So soft and buttery! The only thing that was a downfall was how long it took to get the checks. We were finished for about 30 minutes before finding our server back to get cashed out. We've enjoyed Knotty Pine for the past 20 years even with the different changes they have experienced. We love a locally owned place like this. I'm afraid last night will be our last visit though. We arrived around 7:00 on a Tuesday and it was pretty busy (good sign). It took someone ~5 minutes to greet us to get us a table even though there was nobody in line in front of us (hmmm..). This set the tone for an extremely slow moving dining experience. It appeared there was only one VERY BUSY server having to do everything on the floor for multiple tables. She received a good tip from us even though our dinner was a wipe out. It certainly wasn't her fault. It took 50 minutes for salads, chicken wings and chicken sandwiches to get delivered to our table. The salads didn't come out first and my salad was inedible (I asked for Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing and it appeared someone simply doused it with the Balsamic vinegar and forgot about the oil..). My smoked chicken wings weren't very flavorful. My wife and son's fried chicken sandwiches were tasty though (according to them). It certainly appeared the place was critically understaffed. We stopped into Knotty Pine on a Sunday for a couple beers and lunch. I had been to Knotty Pine for beers before but had never eaten there, although a few people I know, including my wife, had been there before and recommended the food. So the wife and I stopped in. It was quiteee busy as it was right around the noon brunch rush. We stood at the hostess stand for a bit before being welcomed. She then had to go clean off tables and was running in and out along with other servers. It seemed chaotic and everyone running around, which like I said, brunch rush and maybe understaffed, that makes sense. Our service once we ate felt kind of the same way. However, comparatively to other places for brunch, our wait was minimal. Was a little disappointed that only two Knotty pine beers were on tap and the rest of the taps were all guest beers. Part of the fun of checking out different breweries is checking out that breweries libations. Food was great. We split the pine pizza and got the stuffed tots. I highlyyyy recommend the stuffed tots. Get them. You will not regret it. Those were very good and the pizza was great as well. The crust on the pizza is so good and they do a great job. There were other things that looked really good as well. I really want to try the brisket Philly and see what that's all about as well as many other items. So many good apps too. All in all- we were there for longer than we would have liked to be but in the end, had a good experience, loved the food, and enjoyed each other's company.
