With seeing it had an outdoor area and it was a nice evening, I thought this would be the perfect place. We were seated right away outdoors but we sat for 10 minutes before a server even came to our table to take our drink orders. We had reviewed the menu and even selected our meals before the server arrived. The wine we both received was so, so. We order the Enormous Knot which was great. My friend ordered the Pulled Pork Panini and I ordered the Gold Coast Shrimp Tacos. The Pulled Pork Panini, the pork was tender and good but there was no real flavor to it. You should offer a side of BBQ Sauce, or Spicy Mayo or a Brown Grainy Mustard. The Goled Coast Shrimp Tacos had No Feta Cheese on them and lacked flavor also. I will say we enjoyed the Homemade Chips and the Pretzel Knot. I will say we were a little disappointed especially after being to many Wineries in the Cleveland/Akron areas. I will try Urban Pine Winery again, just to give them a 2nd chance but my first impression was not positive.

On a recent drive-through Toledo I found this interesting little winery/restaurant and the menu definitely deserved me and my group paying a visit. It was several slices of cool, unmelted horseradish herb butter - which sounded great as described on the menu - but was executed poorly. Every bite of steak was like simultaneously taking a bite off of a stick of butter right out of the fridge. The fries were also just meh. It wasn't all bad, though. The Bee.L.T., I must admit, looked amazing! Two people at my table ordered it, and I secretly hoped they would offer to share it with me. It was also beautifully presented. An other person at my table ordered the mushroom miso stroganoff which also looked amazing and which she described as "delightful." The restaurant itself was beautiful, including the outdoor seating and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Taking into account all the good and all the bad, this was a solid three star experience. I would definitely go back, though, to give them another chance.

I was fortunate to be here while they were in the process of distilling a batch and the main guy himself took the time to bring me back and explain the process and let me see it first hand. They use many local grains and products from neighboring farms. The place is set up very nice inside, plenty of room with a comfortable ambience and feel. Kaleigh was helping me along with Izzy and Alexis. They were great and very patient with me as I asked many questions. They let me sample some of their different spirits so I could see what I preferred the most. Some of the sampling was directly from the wooden casks as seen in the attached picture. This place was a bank at one point in time that was robbed, they have a cocktail in commemoration of the man who robbed the bank in the 1930s , Kaleigh added that he took and destroyed mortgage papers which at the time would absolve the people of their debt to the bank giving him a sort of Robin Hood persona. My spouse, who joined us, is not a whiskey drinker so she was happy to see that they also had local wines and beers she could enjoy.

Tonight we shared the BLT with avocado and their skin-on fries (so good!). I had the Tropical Cherry Mule --absolutely delicious--and David tried the Hazy Vibes IPA. Yesterday he and his buddy sampled the Lacto Kooler Sour, loved it so much they bought a six-pack and a shirt before leaving! A huge shoutout to our bartenders, Sarah and Shana, who made us feel right at home. We also had the pleasure of meeting owner Carla, who is incredibly friendly and a fellow dog lover--always a bonus in my book! The artwork throughout the brewery is stunning, hand-painted by two tattoo artists from Old World Tattoo in Imlay City. The detail is incredible and really gives the place its own unique personality. Wayne and Amy were incredible to work with while planning everything--they helped coordinate the setup, worked with us on catering appetizers, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. They even accommodated us bringing in our own cake, which was a huge plus. They gave us a large dedicated section for our group, and everything ran seamlessly all night. The food and drinks were fantastic across the board--everyone in our party was raving. The pretzel bites with beer cheese were a big hit, and the pulled pork nacho bar for appetizers was next level. People kept going back for more and talking about it all night. But the real standout of the evening was our waitress, Karissa. She was an absolute rockstar. We rarely drink anymore but my father-in-law just passed away and we needed to just unwind after years of caring for him. We got to Oncore at about 3:30 on a Sunday. We found out once we got there that there was no food but the food truck would arrive at 5:00. There was no way we could drink on an empty stomach so we went to a nearby restaurant to eat and came back. We absolutely love beer flights and have done them enough over the years that we know you're gonna love some and hate them. We ordered 7 different ones and only liked 1 of them. We do lean towards the ciders so we ordered the Blackberry & Valencia orange one, the juniper berry & begonia, the apple & blue raspberry, the s'mores, the regular blonde, a red and one other one I can't remember. We knew we were rolling the dice with the begonia and blue raspberry but the others should have been drinkable even if we didn't like them. Overall they were WAY too sweet and overpowering. This coming from a girl that drinks Venti Carmel Macchiatos. I love thick fall beers like vanilla, peanut butter and chocolates but the s'mores smelled & tasted like burnt coffee. My husband and I have VERY different beer tastes so it's usually he likes one and I don't and vice versa but this time we both couldn't find one we liked enough to order. I even tried to convince him to order the more standard beers just to see and he refused bc he didn't want to waste the money. The other thing that was really disappointing was the service. The girl behind the bar was super friendly and nice but the whole process was off putting. When we first walked in she never greeted us. We stood there for a few minutes and finally had to walk up to her and ask how this worked. In order to order you have to go up to the bar to do it. Once our order was ready she yelled over to us to come and get our drinks, There were only 5 other older couples in the entire bar. At that capacity she could have brought them over to us. I worked at a bar and there's no way I would have yelled over at a customer like that. Now on a busy, jam packed night I get it - kinda - but a night like that it made us feel like a nuisance instead of customers on their first visit (which she knew). There were other things that were self serve and it just felt weird. Like I said, maybe on a busy night it would be different but being able to adapt to capacity and creating a good experience is just part of running a bar. The table was incredibly wobbly and so I had my husband ask for napkins to prop it up and she handed him two paper towels. Once we'd tried all of the drinks and were ready to leave we had no idea whether or not we were responsible for bussing the tables too? We were embarrassed that we could barely drink the drinks so we just got up and left. Overall we were pretty disappointed. There's not a lot of options out here so we get used to taking what you get but to have one be a total bust sucked. If they adjusted the sweetness/overpowering flavors and the business model a bit, they'd have the potential to bring in a lot more business.

We were hoping to get something to eat at Oncore, but the food truck that was supposed to be onsite didn't stay for the entire time they were supposed to. Bartender said the food truck was there less than 2 hours, and they were supposed to have been there for 6 hours. That was a setback. Thankfully, Onncore has a small popcorn machine and it was serve yourself. Very modest interior with a small "gift shop" area along the back wall of the bar. Oncore did offer several games to keep you occupied.
