I recently moved to the area within the last year and a half and had a friend visit from the Cleveland area where I moved from. I wanted to take her to someplace I had not been to and since she enjoys wine as much as I do, I thought Urban Pine Winery might be the place we both would enjoy. With seeing it had an outdoor area and it was a nice evening, I thought this would be the perfect place. We were seated right away outdoors but we sat for 10 minutes before a server even came to our table to take our drink orders. We had reviewed the menu and even selected our meals before the server arrived. The wine we both received was so, so. We order the Enormous Knot which was great. My friend ordered the Pulled Pork Panini and I ordered the Gold Coast Shrimp Tacos. The Pulled Pork Panini, the pork was tender and good but there was no real flavor to it. You should offer a side of BBQ Sauce, or Spicy Mayo or a Brown Grainy Mustard. The Goled Coast Shrimp Tacos had No Feta Cheese on them and lacked flavor also. I will say we enjoyed the Homemade Chips and the Pretzel Knot. I will say we were a little disappointed especially after being to many Wineries in the Cleveland/Akron areas. I will try Urban Pine Winery again, just to give them a 2nd chance but my first impression was not positive. read more

I can't say I have ever been to a restaurant where I ordered the steak frites and ended up wishing I had ordered the BLT - but here we are. On a recent drive-through Toledo I found this interesting little winery/restaurant and the menu definitely deserved me and my group paying a visit. My steak was the first to arrive at the table and I have to admit I had trouble identifying what was on top. Was it fresh mozzarella??? Nope. It was several slices of cool, unmelted horseradish herb butter - which sounded great as described on the menu - but was executed poorly. Every bite of steak was like simultaneously taking a bite off of a stick of butter right out of the fridge. The fries were also just meh. It wasn't all bad, though. The Bee.L.T., I must admit, looked amazing! Two people at my table ordered it, and I secretly hoped they would offer to share it with me. It was also beautifully presented. An other person at my table ordered the mushroom miso stroganoff which also looked amazing and which she described as "delightful." The restaurant itself was beautiful, including the outdoor seating and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Taking into account all the good and all the bad, this was a solid three star experience. I would definitely go back, though, to give them another chance. read more

Visited urban pine with a group of coworkers for a fun happy hour, and the location was perfect. There was a large group of us and our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered a handful of appetizers (not pictured) including the charcuterie board, baked Brie, an hummus dish and they were all very tasty. The fan favorite was the baked Brie, everyone loved it!! A couple of us got dinner myself included. I ordered the bee sting flat bread and appreciated the fact they have gluten free options available! It was delicious and didn't seem fake like some gf flatbreads taste! The sangria was delicious! Everyone got a variety of white wine flights, beer, and sangria and everyone had the favorites! Our first time for dinner here. Liked the interior ambiance. Acoustic control was a bit lacking as the noise levels seem to carry. We ordered an appetizer (small plate) charcuterie board, cedar plank salmon, and a side salad. It took quite a while for our food to be delivered to our table, and unfortunately, all of our food came at the same time. The cedar plank salmon was very tasty and nicely seasoned. Charcuterie board had a decent selection of items to choose from - too many Crackers for our tastes, and wished there was a greater volume of meats. Nice space. We sat outside in the shade and it was very pleasant, if a little loud due to proximity to the highway (you couldn't see it though). We opted for red and white wine flights, and the wine was pretty good (we're not super big wine enthusiasts so just going on our personal tastes). We shared the enormous knot pretzel for an app. The 3 dips were excellent and we all enjoyed it. My son's smash burger was very flavorful. My perch tacos were a little bland, as was my partner's brisket sandwich. However, they were still satisfying. I loved that the fish was not fried and the dressing/toppings were the right amount. My wife and I stopped here before catching a show a Huntington Center. It is a very cute restaurant with several 4 top tables, but only two booths. They serve various wines and have set flights. However, if you become a member, you can pick your own flight. I had a cobb salad and my wife had the charcuterie board. The salad was good and she enjoyed her adult lunchable, as I call it. The real star of this place was our server, Taryn. She was absolutely incredible; friendly, engaging and knowledgeable about the wines and food. She made the meal and tasting wonderful. The Urban Pine Winery is a well done facility. It is set in a strip mall area that is very difficult to find. There is virtually no signage on how to get there and Google isn't good about getting you there. The interior is beautiful. Lots of rich wood, stone and gray/dark colors. The chairs and tables are comfortable. The atmosphere is so pretty that it is relaxing. The host and waitress were very friendly and professional. The wines are very good. We tasted several dry samples. The dry wines were pretty good. The breadsticks and cheese were a good selection. The breadsticks were soft and buttery. The cheese was smooth with a mild taste. My boyfriend and I went here for Valentine's Day and had the best time!! I wish I remembered our servers name....she looked like Love from the show "You". She was amazing!! As every review says the charcuterie board is off the chain. Just more than 6 crackers needed and they do charge for extra crackers. Service is hit or miss. The only time I have received prompt service is when I went on a random week day to pick up my Jiggs dinner. More on that in a minute. They have a decent selection of red white and sweet wines however nothing really stands out and I've never been tempted to buy a bottle. Their menus are seasonal so if you see something you like better get it now. Most pics are of that short rib flat bread(mine too) because it was delicious. No longer available. Some folks like changing menus. I'm not a fan. Now they have a chicken flat bread on with pickles? Yuck So I ordered the Jiggs dinner for my sweetie for St Patrick's Day. The pictures looked delicious. My honey said the meat was so tough he couldn't chew it. It sat in the fridge for a week. I like to sit on the patio but there is no view. It faces the highway. The inside was very nice and cute! Wish we got to sit outside but it was windy and in the shade. It is next to the road so I wonder if it's loud. Our server was very nice and food came quick. Urban Pine Winery is such an unexpected spot, and now I feel I must tell everyone I know about it so that it never ever leaves. The exterior is rustic, the interior is rustic modern, and the wine and menu is divine. The perfect place for large parties, and never once did we feel like a burden. Big huge fans of the sangria flight. The menu (which I'm told changes seasonally) was awesome. I tried the Pineapple Pear Sangria, it was sweet and delicious. As was the harvest gnocchi, thought it was a touch dry and needed a bit more sauce. You can also order a flight or simply sample before making a selection. We ordered the Bruschetta and meat & cheese charcuterie board, along with both flatbread choices. The atmosphere is beautiful and the wine was delightful. However, we waited for 2 hours for our dinner. The waitress had many tables and was nit able to check in with us as we had to flag her down several times to get more water and order more wine. The manager came out after an hour and half stating our ticket was lost and it would be 5 more minutes to get our food. She asked if she could bring an appetizer, we declined as it was not clear if it was in the house or we had to pay. Another thirty minutes go by and finally dinner was served. What a disappointment. Don't even get me started about how many compliments we received on how tasty their Blueberry Fields Sangria, Raspberry Dragonfruit Sangria, Everly Ann (white wine,) and Big Red (red wine)... There was something for everybody! Their private room was beautiful, as well as their entire interior and patio; so much so, that we didn't feel that any decorations were necessary. Located randomly in an industrial park area, we were pleasantly surprised at what a great spot it turned out to be. With a contemporary interior and outdoor seating, there was plenty of room to feel safely distanced. We began with a sangria flight and a red flight.
