The member of the referral team had nothing to say other than they cannot help or give me any other information and that i would need to find care elsewhere after weeks of trying.

Not long ago I brought my child to PAMF expecting a routine annual well check, which should be fully covered by insurance. However, I ended up receiving unexpected charges for things I didn't ask for. Be very careful during your visit. Even answering simple questions like "Do you still have your EpiPen?" can lead to extra charges. If you reply that you don't have it, even if you say you don't need one, they may take that opportunity to review your medication history or renew a prescription--and suddenly it's no longer considered a preventive visit. It feels like they try to find ways to add to the bill through casual conversation. Unless you explicitly refuse anything outside the core checkup, you risk being charged. I recommend being extremely cautious: Do not agree to anything extra--no prescriptions, renewals, or even minor health discussions--unless you're ready to pay for it. I expected better transparency from a trusted healthcare provider. Very disappointed. Find other clinic systems if you can.

I was told the location does not take appointments for X-rays and that it is walk-in only. However, when I arrived, I was told they were completely full and could not accommodate me. I was then directed online, where I discovered you can "reserve a time" for an X-ray as a guest -- which is essentially an appointment, despite being told appointments are not available. To make things more confusing, the system would not allow me to create an account because it said my information was invalid, yet it still allowed guest reservations. The entire process felt disorganized and contradictory. Another major issue is that if your physician sends imaging orders and they are somehow not received by the imaging center, it suddenly becomes the patient's problem to solve after already arriving in pain. In my case, my doctor's office was kind enough to text me the paperwork during their lunch break so I could still be seen. My husband has experienced the same issue repeatedly -- despite his doctor confirming records were sent, the imaging center still did not have them, and this has happened multiple times even though he has been there many times before. I want to be clear that the people working there were not the issue. The woman at the front desk was very sweet, patient, and clearly doing her best within a broken system. The issue is the process itself. There should absolutely be a more organized scheduling and follow-up system that confirms reservations, paperwork received, and patient instructions ahead of time. It would save patients stress and save the staff from constantly having to explain that "you can't make an appointment, but you can make a reservation," which is effectively the same thing. Healthcare is stressful enough already, especially when people are in pain and looking for help. It should not be this difficult to simply get an X-ray done

I was absolutely floored at the efficiency (I've been to ERs where the wait is hours). To be fair, we arrived on a Sunday afternoon so maybe things were a bit slower? All of the staff were very friendly, kind, and attentive. They went out of their way to ensure we were cared for and received proper care. So why the one star off? Our son's splint was put on a little too tight which involved some discomfort and required us to go back a second time to have it readjusted. That situation wasn't ideal but thepediatric staff member met us at the entrance to immediately escort us in for re-treatment. I totally understand these things happen. If we ever need emergency services in the future, this is the place we'd go.

I received no email or comms from my doctor, the management team nor was I given any guidance on next steps in switching doctors. This is unacceptable. I should have been proactively notified and should have been made aware of my options ASAP. I called and texted the office several times to speak to Dr. Gorman about my experience but did not receive a call back. Instead, I received an impersonal, cold and sterile letter a few days later notifying me that I needed to find another doctor. I had surgery at this hospital earlier this year. I want to be clear that my review is not about…read morethe doctors, nurses, or the clinical care I received. The medical staff provided very good care, and the facility appeared clean, professional, and well maintained. My concern is limited to the billing and post-procedure communication process. After the procedure, I reviewed the Explanation of Benefits from my health insurer, and the amount billed to me appeared to be significantly higher than what I understood to be the insurer's indicated patient responsibility. Because billing matters can be complicated, I tried to contact the hospital to ask for clarification and to request a written review of the account. In my experience, however, the process was very difficult to navigate. The available communication appeared to rely mainly on phone calls during business hours, which was challenging for me because of my schedule. I left voicemail messages explaining the issue, and I also sent fax communications asking the hospital to review the account and respond. As of this review, I have not received a clear written response resolving the discrepancy. I later contacted my insurer to seek clarification as well. From my understanding, the balance may still be treated as unpaid or not fully resolved, although the matter remains under review. I am continuing to work with both the insurer and the hospital to understand the final amount, if any, that I actually owe. What has been frustrating is not the medical care, but the lack of a clear and accessible written communication process for a billing issue involving an insurance EOB. If the hospital disagrees with the insurer's EOB or believes additional patient responsibility applies, I would expect a clear written explanation so the patient can understand the basis for the charge and address it appropriately. Again, I appreciated the clinical care I received. However, the billing follow-up experience was stressful, time-consuming, and difficult to resolve. Prospective patients may want to confirm in advance how this hospital handles insurance billing, EOB discrepancies, written billing disputes, and communication options other than phone calls. I would also encourage prospective patients to read a range of reviews, including lower-rated reviews, before deciding where to receive care.
