I don't understand why people like the nurse go into healthcare, they don't listen to their patients and think they know better meanwhile I had (and still have) chronic sinusitis so bad that I have now been through 4 rounds of antibiotics and might need surgery. I'm glad she's not a doctor because I would feel sorry for her patients. I would give the doctor 5 stars as he was knowledgeable and helped me on the path to recovery. Nurse has no business in healthcare and I hope this urgent care realizes that eventually.

Our pediatrician is with Stanford and I called the Stanford Advice Nurse over the phone - they suggested that we go to an urgent care where a provider can see her. They recommended a Sutter Health Pediatric Urgent Care. (I was confused as to why Stanford would suggest Sutter) We then visited for a 12:45 PM appointment today. MA took some vitals and we waited inside the room for about 30 minutes. When the Dr. came in, he didn't introduce himself. He didn't even use his stethoscope - he just said she looks fine. He showed her back and that there's no signs of asphyxiation. He did not give me any confidence of next steps and exam was over. Upon exit, I had to ask the front desk for an after visit summary. He went inside to talk to the Dr - and Dr came out confused as to why I'm asking for more details and that he already explained my daughter is fine. I was frustrated, I want paper trail, I want explanation of what transpired, I needed confidence that I can move on with next steps. Over the next few hours, my daughter who's less than 2 years old vomited at least 3 more times. We decided to go Stanford ER - something I should have started with instead of wasting my time with Sutter Health. Stanford vs Sutter Health is a night and day difference in service - choose wisely. The Stanford ER is taking the correct medical precautions and we are investigating further. If this turns out to be something serious - trust me Sutter Health, I will take legal action. When I called billing they could not care less. The place is a total rip off, it's really no better than organized crime. Disgusting. On top of that they are tax exempt and send out letters asking for donations and will bequests, when their last public tax filing (form 990) shows their top five executives made $11,497,041, $6,356,149, $3562,932, $2,403,304, and $1,580,141. That's $22,193,567 between five -- over $22 million! Absolute scam.

An excellent experience all around. It does get busy here, during the week, and parking can be a problem when that happens. If you come on the weekend, you shouldn't experience any of that. To make things more confusing, the system would not allow me to create an account because it said my information was invalid, yet it still allowed guest reservations. The entire process felt disorganized and contradictory. Another major issue is that if your physician sends imaging orders and they are somehow not received by the imaging center, it suddenly becomes the patient's problem to solve after already arriving in pain. In my case, my doctor's office was kind enough to text me the paperwork during their lunch break so I could still be seen. My husband has experienced the same issue repeatedly -- despite his doctor confirming records were sent, the imaging center still did not have them, and this has happened multiple times even though he has been there many times before. I want to be clear that the people working there were not the issue. The woman at the front desk was very sweet, patient, and clearly doing her best within a broken system. The issue is the process itself. There should absolutely be a more organized scheduling and follow-up system that confirms reservations, paperwork received, and patient instructions ahead of time. It would save patients stress and save the staff from constantly having to explain that "you can't make an appointment, but you can make a reservation," which is effectively the same thing. Instead, I received an impersonal, cold and sterile letter a few days later notifying me that I needed to find another doctor. I would not recommend this practice to anyone given the sloppy nature of my situation was managed- it's completely unacceptable.

What has been frustrating is not the medical care, but the lack of a clear and accessible written communication process for a billing issue involving an insurance EOB.
