We waited a short time and then we were called in to be seen by Dr. Iliana Harrysson. She was absolutely fabulous. I felt like we were in good hands and we were being seen, heard and understood. She recommended we go to a clinic closer to our house next time. But, I would rather drive far to see her and be in good hands, then drive close and have a different Dr. Thank you Express Care for exceeding my expectations!

With a typical large healthcare chain like PP, you'd be nervous about the care you're about to receive. At least this would be the case for me, given the uncertainty about their working hours, pay, the amount of clients they see on a day-to-day basis, and how it affects their performance in the long run for future clients. But this PP has exceeded every single one of my expectations. I came in feeling down, nervous, and sick as a dog, and left feeling like they draped a warm fuzzy blanket over me. They were very communicative about my concerns and questions, and seemed like they understood everything I was saying. If these girls WERE having a bad day, you would NOT have been able to tell. Like, at all. I will genuinely remain forever grateful for the level of care I got here. If you guys are looking for a top quality PP clinic, please PLEASE consider this one (the Alameda) and the Mar Monte one. PROTECT THESE LADIES AT ALL COST!!! They're absolute sweethearts.

During my wait, I witnessed patients with serious injuries waiting in the waiting room, including people who were visibly bleeding. It was extremely concerning and upsetting to see patients in that condition waiting for such a long period of time without being treated. If the cameras are functioning, they should be able to show exactly how long patients have been sitting in the waiting room without being seen or receiving treatment. Six hours is an unacceptable amount of time to wait in an emergency room without even being evaluated. What is even more frustrating is the lack of communication and urgency from the staff. People have jobs, families, and responsibilities, and being forced to wait for hours can result in people missing work or being late to work. I genuinely believe the hospital should take responsibility for the impact this kind of excessive wait time has on patients. My experience with Kaiser in Santa Teresa has been completely different. Their patients are seen much faster, and the process of getting evaluated and treated is much more efficient. This experience has been extremely disappointing. Patients come to an emergency room because they need medical attention not because they want to spend six hours sitting in a waiting room wondering when someone will finally see them. I hope management reviews what happened that night, including the wait times, staffing, patient flow, and how long patients were left without evaluation.

Every person I communicated with regarding admission seemed either poorly informed or unable to provide consistent and accurate information. We were repeatedly told that everything was ready and that we could come in, only to be told literally minutes later that admission was not possible. This happened over and over again. When you have a sick family member waiting for care, this kind of disorganization is not just frustrating--it puts an enormous amount of unnecessary stress on the entire family. I also visited the facility in person while desperately trying to get the admission resolved, and that experience only added to my concerns. The overall environment and communication did not give me confidence that this was where I wanted my family member receiving care. At the time, I was extremely upset that the admission never happened. Afterward, especially after reflecting on our experience and reading the experiences shared by many other families, I honestly feel relieved. Sometimes what feels like terrible luck turns out to be a blessing in disguise. So, to the admission team: thank you.
