Came here with my family on a trip to see the As. Ice cream was good and the blondie was delicious. I got it topped with vanilla and the caramillionaire. It is very sweet so get yourself some water to wash it down. The service was quick and we all just sat at the tables outside. The only con was that it's pricey but everything is now a days.

I've never been to Insomnia Cookies and will not be returning! $7 for two bites of ice cream is insane-mia! And $4 for a cookie smaller than my hand. Staff was kind of rude.

My kids really wanted to come here during our visit to DOCO. This was our first time visiting, so I wasn't sure what to expect. We ordered the original/standard size which is 3.29 a cookie. I was glad to have a gluten free option, but it's just one flavor, chocolate chip. I did like that the cookies are kept separate form the regular ones, for those that have a gluten allergy. Overall it was a tasty cookie, and my kids enjoyed theirs too. But would I go out of my way to buy more? Proud not. They are a bit on the pricy side for the size of the cookie. But if you're in the area, and want a sweet treat, check it out.

Insomnia Cookies is actually my favorite cookie place, which might make the three-star rating sound confusing--but hear me out. One of the best parts about this place (and very fitting for the name) is that they're open late until midnight. As a night owl, I really appreciate having a dessert spot open that late. It's especially perfect if I want a sweet snack after drinking in the area with friends or just have late-night munchies. That alone has made Insomnia Cookies a reliable go-to for me over the years. I love Insomnia Cookies because the cookies are personally, my perfect portion size and texture: slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, which is exactly how I like them. I also prefer this place way more than Crumbl Cookies. While Crumbl seems to be the popular choice, I find their cookies overly sweet. Insomnia Cookies hits that sweet spot with a more subtle sweetness that I really enjoy. There are a few flavors I consistently like, and whenever I'm at DOCO Plaza--especially during the colder seasons--I can't resist stopping by for some warm cookies. That said, there are definitely some cons. I'm always a little disappointed that this location doesn't carry all the rotating or seasonal flavors. I'll see flavors advertised on the website, only to find out they're available at other locations but not at this one. Pricing is another issue. While the quality is good, the cookies aren't very large for the price you're paying, and the packs can feel pretty expensive for what you're getting. They do have a rewards system, but since this location is downtown and parking usually means paying, I don't come here often enough to rack up points. Even redeeming rewards feels like it takes a lot--hundreds of points just for a single cookie--so it's not very motivating. On the plus side, the ambience around the area is nice, and ordering pickup has been reliable. My orders are usually ready by the time I arrive. However, if you order in person, the shop itself is very small and tight, and when there's a line, it can easily spill outside the door. This location also offers other options like bottled milk or ice cream with your cookies, but since the cookies themselves are already on the pricey side, I usually skip the extras. Despite some inconsistency with customer service, I've been coming back to Insomnia Cookies for several years now, which says a lot about how much I genuinely enjoy their cookies. Overall, it's a place I'll continue to return to--but the pricing and limited flavor availability keep this location at a solid three stars for me.

Warm and delicious cookies and friendly staff. Conveniently located on K street near several other restaurants and the Kings arena. Plenty of outdoor seating as well.

While my order came from UberEats delivery, they were sent in a cardboard box, flat, which made them arrive safely to me. The ordering process was easy, as the flavors are available online. They tasted like your regular cookie shop cookies, so don't expect the best cookies of your life. They did fill my craving of something sweet. I did order the holiday cookie, but unfortunately it didnt look anything like the picture. It had maybe 1 pretzel and a couple of chocolate pieces. I'd probably stick to the chocolate chunk next time to play it safe.

Been forever since I was at DOCO in the evening but I was finally able to go back to Insomnia. Same delicious cookies $32 a dozen. The last time I was here they were $20 lol. Cookies are always fresh and crispy compared to the raw dough center of Crumble.

It's ok, not the best I've had. We were close by at the golden 1 center for a concert and decided to get a treat after. It was busy and it's super small inside so they only allow 6 people inside at a time. I don't think the price fit the items , just a bit too pricey for what you get. We tried one deluxe cookie, classic cookie and 2 scoop ice cream S'more cookie $5.49 - 3.5/5 (ok but nothing special) Classic m&m cookie -$3.29- 2/5 ( so not worth it, tasted like a grocery store cookie and way over priced) Cookie dough ice cream- $7 - 3.5/5 (again good but not remember able)

I don't go out of my way to come here but we happened to be at DOCO so we stopped in for some cookies to bring home for later. The menu was more confusing than I remember. We wanted a mix of classic flavors and deluxe flavors so I assumed if I just get the deluxe 4-pack then I can pick from either, but she wouldn't let me mix and match, which is kinda strange since it would be my loss for picking cheaper classic ones. They don't have a classic 4-pack and the next option to pick both classic and deluxe flavors meant you had to get 8...and I did not need 8 cookies! So we just stuck with the deluxe 4-pack and picked only 4 deluxe flavors. The s'mores was really tasty but would've liked it on a regular chocolate chip base than the double chocolate base. The chocolate peanut butter cup was my least favorite because it tasted a bit grainy. The salted caramel and the chocolate chunk brookie were the winners!! Sooo delicious. The salted caramel wasn't too sweet. The brookie was thick and chewy! The price is pretty comparable to other chain cookie stores in the area but value is lower because these cookies are super thin. Otherwise the flavors were good and they were nice and chewy despite being on the thinner side!

Store was exceptionally clean and had a beautiful room of baked cookies. The people who work at the store were very pleasant, friendly, and nice.. I just wanted to like snack so I got two cookies chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin. They were nice and warm extremely tasty and gone in less than 30 seconds almost. A bit on the expensive side but they sure tasted excellent. Kind of glad they're a little expensive, I could easily scarf down a dozen without thinking. I really don't need those kind of calories right now anyway awesome experience. I enjoyed it.

Beware it is pricey. $32 for 12 cookies. Very expensive. But I always wanted to try it. I enjoy it much better than crumbl. It's just the perfect texture. Crisp outside. Soft interior. Double chocolate - my favorite. 10/10 Mint - not too bad 8.5/10 Macadamia nut - 10/10. Peanut butter - 7/10. It kept crumbling M&' - 7.5/10. Not great. About average. Brownies. They weren't as chewy as I expected. 7/10 I'd consider coming again. Unfortunately I'm rarely at doco

I tried the vegan birthday cake cotton candy ice cream cookie sandwich at Insomnia Cookies in DOCO and it was so good! The birthday cake cookie was scrumptious, and the cotton candy ice cream was very sweet with a hint of cotton candy flavor. It's small inside and there is DOCO seating outside. The service was good. I was right next to them sitting at a table with my brother so of course I heard, and I got up and I said what's up with this grandma stuff, and he said that he answered her question and told her that he thought I was her grandmother. Honestly, I felt completely insulted like you're not supposed to say things like that to your customers or even about your customers. I felt myself getting ready to go completely off on him, so I walked away and went to sit back down. He had the audacity to tell my niece some people can't handle the truth. It's so baffling to me that a manager would say something like that. I know employees sometimes say inappropriate things, but he should know better!! This was supposed to be a nice family outing and he ruined my night. Luckily I have confidence in myself and his comment didn't give me a complex or make me like I look old. It was also disappointing because I went in there specifically to get an eclair, which is normally a decent size. For some reason, it was the half of the size and the same price.

We arrived and were seated promptly which was nice. But then our server went on break, we got a new server, they took our order and about 30 minutes later, they brought out all of the food except for two entrees. A kids entree and an adult entree. They said they were going to make the food but we sat there while we watched dozens of people sit down and leave, staff rarely checked on us, and then an hour later, they finally bring out the food. It was an absolute disaster. The server apologized (the manager never came to acknowledge the issue even though they spoke to the server about the situation) and the server stated that there was some sort of miscommunication with the order. To be honest, I was more upset about the fact that by the time the two entrees came out, everyone was already done eating. So those two people just had to box their food and eat it later. After dinner, it was ice cream time. We order my son's ice cream (just a scoop of chocolate) first at least 15 minutes before they take anybody else's order at the table. They proceed to take everyone else's order (sundaes and specialty ice creams) and get this...my kid's ice cream came out 30 minutes after everyone else got their ice cream. Absolutely terrible experience and once again, no manager interaction with us, just the server claiming some sort of miscommunication again. My kid's food (the entree and the ice cream) was what came out a whopping combined time of one and a half hours late. They comped the grilled cheese sandwich but then had the audacity to charge for the ice cream! And on top of this...they automatically charged gratuity for the whole table!
