First time here at Wrights and it was a great experience. The staff welcomes you with a smile and directions to follow the line for delicious bbq. As you walk in you meet the meat cutter and he takes your order. I had the 2 meat plate with turkey and sausage. My sides were chips and a sweet potato. I also had a sweet tea. We decided to enjoy a comfy booth in the AC!!! The portions were fair and the food looked amazing on my tray. We sat down and boom! Delicious turkey and sausage. I made couple half sandwiches with some white bread. The smoked sweet potato was the best part of my meal. It was so sweet and delicious. Overall great place for a lunch stop after biking 10-12 miles!!! We will be back. My best friend had the Woopig sandwich with pulled pork, sausage and cole slaw on he side. He enjoyed it immensely! A must stop in Bentonville! Completely worth the hype - the BBQ is outstanding! I admittedly panic ordered in line when it came to the sides but they turned out incredible as well (mashed potatoes and cole slaw). Pulled pork was definitely my favorite of the day, it pairs perfect with the pickled onions and pickles. My partner isn't big on pork so we got chicken nachos as well, the cheese sauce was elite. Always love me some bbq! After arriving in town we discovered Wright's and knew this was the location for dinner. Ordered at the counter, the staff was fast and friendly. We shared the three meat plate, brisket, burnt ends and jalapeño cheddar sausage. Sides were deviled egg potato salad, collard greens and smoked beans. Brisket was excellent as were the beans. I really liked the collard greens and sausage too. I've had better burnt ends but these were good, just a little firmer than I prefer. We sat outside at a picnic table and it was nice. I came for the bacon burnt bacon ends but they were out. Turkey was gone too. I chose a two meat plate with two sides. Brisket and pork ribs. They were tasty, but not extraordinary. The sweet/classic bbq sauce was added zest and sweetness to the meats. The spicy sauce had a kick for those that crave a nice burn. The sides outshined the meats which was a surprise because usually sides are an afterthought at bbq spots. Brisket: 4.5/5 Pulled pork: 4.6/5 Green beans: 5/5 Mac & cheese: 3/5 I was shocked, but the mac and cheese was probably my least favorite thing I got, I would probably try a different side next time I visit. The Brisket had a good flavor but wasn't as moist as I would have liked, which was a little disappointing given how well-known they are for it. On the other hand, the Burnt Ends were absolutely delicious--tender, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of the meal. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, and service was quick and friendly, which added to the overall experience. One of the best bbq I've had. The brisket was really good, the smoked chicken was ok, a bit dry but good flavor. I'm not a big meat person so I ate a lot more of the sides- which were SO GOOD. I got the mashed potatoes and baked beans. The beans were hands down the best I've ever had. There are chunks of brisket (I think) in the beans, not too salty, just perfect and slightly sweet. Let me start by saying this is the BEST BBQ I've ever had in my life. Wright's is doing everything RIGHT!! I ordered Ribs, Brisket, Bacon Burnt Ends, Sausage, Mac n Cheese, Greens, and Smoked Baked Beans. The brisket is seasoned perfectly, super tender, and melts in your mouth! The ribs and burnt ends are equally flavorful with a sweet and smoky balance. Every bite is heavenly! The sausage was smoked to perfection and also delicious. All of the sides compliments the meat, and it's what I call a "party in your mouth"!! Wright's Barbecue lives up to its reputation. The burnt ends on the Rocket Man were perfection and go head to head with the best bbq I have ever had. The nachos could have had a bit more topping to have a better chip to topping ratio, but it was so good I wasn't too focused on that. Our server was helpful and you could tell he enjoyed where he worked. There wasn't a ton of seating inside, but enough for us and quite a bit more outside. I had Wright's twice in a week when hosting family visiting from California. I'm the type of person who is really scared of having a disappointing second meal after an incredible first, and I am pleased to report that both meals were 100%. I came in with my partner on a Saturday, and we managed to snag the last beef rib, which was the special of the day. We got that with deviled egg potato salad and collards on the side. I have never had a rib so giant, so it was truly an experience cutting into the meat and seeing it fall off the bone. I enjoyed how peppered the meat was, and that we had the choice to add how ever much BBQ sauce as we wanted. I think this is a standard thing in the south, but where I grew up, the meat was always swimming in sauce, which is why I thought I didn't like barbecue. The sides were great complements to the barbecue, especially the collards, which seemed to have been cooked with smoked turkey. The second time around, we ordered a three-meat combo with brisket, sausage, pork ribs with collards and macaroni and cheese. We ended up adding a pulled pork and sausage sandwich, as well as an order of their brisket chili (it was cold and we were hungry). Though the beef rib is a standout for me, all of the other meats were tender and well-seasoned. I especially liked their sausages and pork ribs, and the macaroni was a winner--cheesy, and not too gluey/soupy and not too brick-y, either. Service is always fast, friendly, and there's a decent amount of seating, though most of it is outside. I would recommend getting takeout in the colder months, though there are a few seats inside and a heated tent next door. read more

Yes, you wait in line and no one serving is in a hurry.....but it is worth it. Being from KC, we never have high expectations for BBQ but this place held its own. Brisket was a little fatty for my taste but very good, bacon burnt ends were interesting and smoked chicken was great. Hubby and I shared the three meat platter that came with two sides and ordered an additional side. We chose smoked beans, deviled egg potato salad and macaroni with a cheese sauce that made you want to lick the bowl! Flat out, the food is AMAZING! I was so pleased, especially with the sides. A lot of the bbq places I've been to tend to concentrate on the meat and the sides lack, but let me tell you this was some of the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. And I make damn good mashed potatoes. I was disappointed they were out of burnt ends for my Rocketman, but I got extra brisket and the Mac and cheese which was creamy, cheesy and delightful. This was, by far, the most memorable food we had during our week-long trip to Bentonville. I think this might be my only must-stop food of the trip for any meat eaters. I got the pulled pork sandwich with chips and a coke. The pulled pork was exactly what pulled pork should be - tender, juicy, full of flavor. I wasn't a fan of any of the sauces, but the meat was so perfectly done that you didn't really even need any sauce. Everyone working there was super friendly and helpful. I wish they would do something about all of the flies outside. That seems like a little bit of a health-code hazard waiting to happen. If I ever find myself back in Bentonville, this is one place I would go out of my way to stop at. read more

What can you say, Wrights does it right. Their brisket is some of the best I have ever had, tender and juicy packed with flavor. The proof is that the meat doesn't need sauce, it is delicious on its own. Great sides and sauce options for those who need it. 4 locations and they are busy, you may have to stand in line but your patience will be rewarded. The original is a small house in Johnson, the Rogers location has a tone of covered outdoor seating for those nice days. We often get it to go when we are treating our hard working staff. read more

Sides that got our attention were the collards and the ranch potato salad. The mashed potatoes were good but not amazing. Love that they have pickles and pickled onions, both nice additions to offset the meats. We came for lunch on Friday afternoon around noon. There was little to no line when we arrived and the guys behind the counter were super friendly. I got the smoked chicken plate with roasted sweet potato and collard greens and my husband got the two meat plated with smoked turkey, cheddar jalapeño sausage, shell and cheese and green beans. I thought the smoked chicken was pretty outstanding but didn't really enjoy the turkey or the sausage. The shells and cheese were also just ok for me. My husband had the Woo Pig with ranch potato salad, I had the chicken bacon ranch sandwich with ranch potato salad, and our daughter enjoyed the kids' chicken sandwich (with ranch, of course!) and ranch potato salad. Every single bite was phenomenal -- perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and so satisfying. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations for what to try. Don't get met wrong. I enjoyed Wright's...just like I enjoy any BBQ. But, would I go out of my way to go back? Don't think so. The place is in a great location near Bentonville Town Square, has cool outdoor seating, is a converted home, but has that somewhat hipstery vibe. Anyway, it's clean, cool, and accessible. I had a half rack of St. Louis style ribs, which didn't seem to be as large as all the other ribs of similar cut I'd had. Partner had pulled pork...as she always does. The meat was tender, juicy, and smokey. Excellent. Portions were adequate, but it would be generous to describe them as generous. Sauces were varied, and tasty. They had all the bases covered...except white bbq sauce, which is a thing, although not my thing. Sides were good, but not really notable. Of note: as I walked in (it was a Saturday, I saw a large man gnawing on a meaty stalk that looked like it came off a brontosaurus. I asked what he had, and he told me it was the beef rib, a Saturday only treat. And, at around $20 per rib, a special treat at that. He added, "it's all that." So, actually, I will be back...but just to put the beef rib to the test. Otherwise, I'll play the BBQ field. read more
