I have visited this lovely Greek Italian, sport watching place many times now.! If you sit at the bar, you can order your food there. Otherwise the process is: order in the back and they bring you your food to you along with silverware etc. payment and tipping is done when you order. The food is anywhere from a simple gyro to a sophisticated lamb chop dish and steak. I ordered the lamb chops.. they were amazing! Don't let the "market price" stop you, it's worth the price!! The plating was beautifully done, since you know, you eat with your eyes first! I chose asparagus to replace the rice pilaf that usually comes with it. I would suggest that you ask for a side of gyro sauce also because it is simply lovely The restaurant was very clean. Every time someone got up to leave they came over to that spot and sanitize both seating and table. I observed not only the servers and bartenders hand sanitizing but also the patrons as well. This place is night and day from the powell location. I went today and the customer service, food and environment were great the only reason it's not 5 stars is my chicken in gyro was not as hot as I expected but the fries were so freaking fresh crispy and good. Also I love the fact for my water it was a washable plastic glass way better than the throw away in powell. This is the same setup where you order than sit down. I will for sure be going back. I played it safe with a gyro sandwich and lemon potatoes. I like that Koble offers something other than the usual French fries. My gyro was solid! The meat and vegetables were fresh and generous. My potatoes didn't blow me away. They were a little mushy and greasy. But overall, Koble is a great spot for an inexpensive and quick meal. read more

We went to the Powell location this afternoon and the place was fantastic. Well priced with great service and flavor. Orders ranged from chicken gyro to gyro to calamari. I went with regular gyro and added siracha to spice it up and it was definitely the right move. We also got the hummus with pita as a starter and it was delicious. The portion was decent sized; the flavor of the Gyro was good and the fries had some type of seasoning, which was interesting. The price is a bit higher, but the food was okay for what it was. I think you could get more authentic Gyros elsewhere. The atmosphere was upbeat and lively. This is a good place for a group, families, or a casual date. We have been a regular carry out customer from Koble Powell for a long time. But the outcome of our order today will definitely make me look elsewhere for our next Greek/Mediterranean meal. One issue with an order is never a problem, but every item had issues today. The Calamari was like rubber and came with no marinara or dipping sauce. The Multi dip appetizer came with no veggies. This visit my husband ordered a gyro $7.00, I ordered a spicy gyro $8.00 and we ordered the village salad to share - although we were too full to eat much of it there after the gyros! The village salad is delicious. No lettuce,but a bowl full peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion & kalamata olives (with pits) tossed with feta and a Greek oil-based dressing. It also comes with several quarters of warm pita. The spicy gyro includes banana peppers and their wonderful spicy feta (instead of the normal gyro sauce). Koble is pretty good food. It makes it almost worth the confusion of ordering. This is a common theme among patrons. It would be much better if they simplified it. The food may be tasty but you shouldn't have to jump through hoops to get served. If you like Greek food in a casual atmosphere you should try it. It has a great menu. The food is actually very good which makes me want to like this. It's the other shit that makes this an unpleasant experience. The service is the main problem. As mentioned by many other reviewers, the set up is odd. You can sit at a table but you have to get up for your drinks or something like that. In order to avoid this I just sat at the bar. The food is good if you can get it. A good vegetarian choice is the falafel. It's about $7 for the pita. If the setup wasn't so bad I could go here more often. It also could have some more reasonable prices for the portions. The food tastes good but they need to work on the other stuff. read more

We've been seeking a quick casual place in uptown Westerville to get some food- stay in and eat if we can, or take to go. For some reason, it took me a while to get in here. Maybe because I didn't know what it was or maybe because I didn't know it existed. I can't remember anymore. On this night, we were seeking a place we could grab a sandwich to go and take across the street to the winery with us. We went in to place our order around dinnertime on a Thursday and it wasn't too busy. I was surprised that it was a sit-down restaurant, as well as a casual counter takeout type of place. They have an order counter, but they also have a bar. Pretty unique! We only waited about 10 minutes for our meal and then left. I often wonder when I get takeout if the food I ordered would taste better if I sat down and ate it there. After eating my email, I had this same thought. I was not overly impressed with my falafel wrap, but I liked it well enough to stop in again. The fries were excellent! I told my wife I'd go back at least just to get a side order! She agreed on the fries. The space is comfy and clean. I can definitely see enjoying a meal here on occasion. Considering we're in uptown at least once a week, I imagine we'll be back soon. Went to the new location in Powell and was a huge fan! Casual restaurant with an upscale feel. You order when you walk in, pick your seat - they bring out the food and bus your table. Wear whatever you want! Menu is quite varied for all tastes with multiple variations of gyros (grouper, chicken etc) to apps (octopus, Saganaki and dips) to good ole pasta and meatballs. We had the platter of dips for $10 woth spicy feta, hummus, tzatziki and spinach/goat cheese. Pita was warm and soft. Falafel app was just okay but good portions. Entrees - spicy chicken gyro was a favorite at our table with good flavor and hearty portions of meat. My one friend went for the pasta and was quite happy with it. Misleading menu. Decent food but for those with dietary restrictions/allergies, the menu is not accurate! They don't list everything on the menu that comes in the dishes. For example, I ordered the salmon pasta only to find it covered in mushrooms, something I would have definitely asked them to hold had the menu stated it includes mushrooms. I checked the menu and online ordering platform to confirm and nowhere does it list mushrooms. Eating out can already be difficult for those with dietary restrictions and/or allergies and this only makes it more difficult. The menu should accurately reflect the meal and include all ingredients. While it's decent food, it makes it hard to know what you'll get. read more

Best Greek Salad in the 'Ville. So good! Bartenders are very personable. Huge variety of Italian and greek food. Great business model. HUGE wrap around bar. Very authentic and delicious! The gyros here are superb. The meat is moist and cooked perfectly, the lettuce, onions, tomatoes and feta are fresh. The creamy garlic sauce is amazing and brings the whole thing together. The pita is super fresh and very soft. The Greek salad is delicious and fresh tasting. The hummus plate from the spreads and dips section is very good. It camera with cucumbers on the side, 2 generous scoops of hummus and lots of pita for scooping all that goodness up with. This was my first time at Koble Grill on a Friday. It was 3 of us: I and another family member had the " Lamb Chops over rice with a Greek salad .. 5 STAR! The meat was hot to the temp I like, it was "jucie" and NOT dry....cooked medium well...with mouth watering flavor! The rice was temp hot and very,very flavorful! I don't like lukewarm food... this food did not disappoint!! However, I needed a lil more dressing on the salad tho, but it was still ...." fresh" and very tasty!!! Great portion size! My other family member had shrimp over pasta! No pic of his, food, but I tasted it and it was fabulous too!! I will get one of my own the next time bc we most def will be back!!! Service was fast. Later I realized here is a counter that you order from, sit down and the food will be brought out to you. I recommend sitting at the bar! We ordered calamari to start and each had a spicy gyro. There is no need to pay $2 more for a jumbo, the regular size is huge!!!! The calamari was all rings and the sauce was homemade and tasty. Although the gyro was huge it wasn't anything special. Yes it was good, but nothing that made me say wow. If I came back I would tell them light cheese on the gyro and again try to grab a spot at the bar. My family and I went to this restaurant as a birthday present to me. When you enter the restaurant the sign says go to the back and order at the register or go to the bar. All of my party had not arrived to we sat down at a table and waited for all of my family to arrive. When everyone arrived we went to the back to order. Apparently we were at the wrong side of the register. There was one customer at the register at the time that we went back to order. Another person arrived at the correct spot in line while the waitress was finishing with the one person in line. When the one person in front of us had been helped by the waitress, the person who was in the right line acknowledged that we were ahead of her in line. The girl taking the order said yes I will help them but if you have just a take out I will ring you out first. Then in the meantime more customers came up at the right side of the line. Another waitress then came up to the register and told us that we needed to go to the end of the line in a very rude manner. It was like the 8th grade teacher accusing us of skipping in line when really we had let someone who had not been there as long as us in front of us and now we were being kicked to the end of a long line. it was so frustrating...the second waitress just bullied the first waitress around. When we did get up to the counter I told the first waitress why I was frustrated since she already had acknowledged us as being next and we had been nice enough to let the take out order first..she apologized but really didn't help since the second waitress was the issue. So the food was good. Customer service is in the negative negative numbers I just hoped this is shared with the second waitress who had no business butting in when she didn't know the circumstances....she was not nice , I think she knew I was mad because we kept making eye contact. This is the second time we've been to koble where they've COMPLETELY FAILED! I was excited to meet friends for an early dinner at Koblé Grill, as I'm a big fan of Mediterranean food. Not that decor is ever really an issue in my mind, but I did notice the interior space of Koblé wasn't what I was expecting for "Mediterranean". The wood shiplap and brick walls were nice, however. You go to the back counter to order and pay (they bring you order to you via the number stand given at the register). I tried their Moussaka with a side Greek salad, and it was very good! The meat and individual julienned veggies and potatoes were awesomely layered, which made it easy to distinguish what I was eating. Their marinara sauce was fabulous - and I don't like tomatoes - so, right there is a statement. Some places load on the bechamel sauce as to make up for the less-stellar protein/veggies, but this was not the case at Koblé! The Mediterranean take on "lasagna" was wonderful and HUGH; I got three meals out of the giant square. I'd love to try out Koblé's gyro, and their homemade chicken Latin soup has high praises. I love Uptown Westerville, and this is a great place to eat when out on the downtown area for the night. read more
