They do not state on their website the fact they close everyday for lunch. I am a nurse and my time is limited, I went to them on my lunch break from work and they were closed. Confusion, long delays, lost info, misinformation... is common. The front office phone system is HORRIBLE. I was accused of missing an appointment that wasn't scheduled for another month! They blamed a new computer system. They blamed it a year and a half ago too, when they scheduled me for an appointment for a day the doctor was not even in. Everyone is pleasant in person, when you go there, but if they don't fix the front office, i will definitely switch providers. The good news? I like the doctors. I'd give them 4-5 stars if the front end worked. But they are not in control. Its corporate medicine. read more

They seem to care little for their patients by grossly overbooking. Being an hour late for a 9:20 AM appointment is totally disrespectful.

Awful business. I have been going to Koch for over 30 years. When it was smaller it was fantastic. In May, I had an appt. at the Greenwich ave. office. When I got there they had told me they cancelled my appt. because my insurance was not taken there. They had not, they had called to confirm the day before. They set up an appt in Wakefield, when I got there they did not take me. They were too busy and surprised of me being there. I finally was taken in and rushed by a doctor at Tollgate rd. and now 4 weeks later I have tried and tried to reach someone in Optical to see if my glasses are in and no one answers the phone. I first went to DR. Koch when lasik was new. It had to be at least ten years ago. I was so scared at first because it was something new and not knowing what to expect, everyone was so caring and informative. Now after at having perfect vision I am now starting with blurred vision. I have called for an appointment and was told that the lasik only lasts for a certain amount of time! I was never told that, but it does make sense as our eyes do change with age...will update this after the next appt. read more

I recently had an appointment at the Warwick office. As a medical professional myself, I was amazed to view the young lady administering the eye exam washing her hands at the sink and then shutting off the faucet handles with newly washed hands.. Whatever happened to using the paper towel to shut off the dirty handles, I might add, the doctor did the very same thing.. Also,wiping the equipment with alcohol requires alcohol to dry to be effective, if that is what was used.. Perhaps a review of proper hand washing might be beneficial for all employees. read more

If I could give this place -100 stars I would. The eye appointment was scheduled for 4pm. Finally seen at 5:30. Got a half assed apology with no concern for wasting my time. The sales weasel out front pre-checked the insurance option on the contract. They were going to charge me $40 for the right to pay half price if I break the glasses. I recently had LASIK surgery here. My initial appointment was very easy, and they squeezed me in for the surgery only 3 days later. The procedure was fast and easy. They gave clear expectations on recovery and care. Follow up the next day was easy. Everyone was very kind and helpful, my questions were all answered and my expectations accurate. I had two cataract operations done in January. Thanks to this office I can see clearly again. I do have one concern, I paid $1500. for laser assisted surgery to correct my astigmatism. After the operation and my check up the day after all seemed ok. On the following Sunday I went to the office under emergency care because I thought the operation failed: my astigmatism was still there. I was told by the doctor that did the surgery that I have the type of astigmatism that can't be corrected.. Why then did they take $1500. from me, a senior citizen?? This seems unfair because I was trusting this office to be honest and I feel now that it is about getting as much money as possible for each operation. read more

The 1st week of July I went to pick out new glasses. I picked a few of them and sat down so the woman could measure the lenses for my precription, you could clearly see the lenses were bigger than the glasses I had. She said oh those wont work for you. I then showed her my glasses and said look these are bigger so she measured again and guess what they were FINE for my scrip. Then I said I had VSP for a discount which she couldn't fine. The problem was they used it for my contacts which I couldn't make clearer with everyone there when ordering please don't use VSP I'm getting glasses. Needless to say very upset cause $565.00 or $130.00. Much better for Apple Eye Wear. Then I inquired about a discount for the glasses I saw a week ago when I was in for exam. The woman said no discounts available, I walked to counter got paper and said I want this discount. I could go on and on about my terrible experience this time but it isn't worth it. Very terrible service and why pay extra for VSP and can't use it again for 2 more years. The question is do I go back again. One more thing when I picked my $565 pair of glasses she never fitted to me had to tell her they were croaked on my face (in fact they still are) not a happy customer at all this time....you need to get more trained help in there. read more
