Bed Bath & Biscuits - Pictures Jill took of our dog, Leo, playing at Bed Bath & Biscuits

Unfortunately for our dog, we have to leave town occasionally and he can't come with us. But,…read morefortunately for our dog, there's Jill at Bed Bath & Biscuits to watch him during those times! We've boarded our dog at a few places and are glad we came across this one. Now, it isn't a doggy daycare like other places, so the dogs aren't playing with each other. This does, however, mean the price is lower. We recently boarded our pup here for a long weekend and it was about half of what it would have cost at a daycare center. So even though it isn't daycare and the dogs aren't playing with each other all day, it seems like they have lots of room to roam and get plenty of playtime. Our guy came home tired and happy. Jill even sent along a few pictures of him playing around and it looks like he was in doggy heaven. We'll definitely be bringing our dog back again next time we're out of town.

Provided stairs for the big dogs to walk up into the bath, full pressure spray nozzle for complete & fast rinse, shampoo, conditioner, towels and dryer! (Of course, you can bring your own special/medicated shampoo, too). Tether to keep dogs from jumping out of tub and even water proof aprons to keep the bathers dry (or semi-dry!). We will definitely be returning!

Long story here, but I have an extremely anxious cat. The last time I took him here, they gave up…read moreon any shots outside of rabies and advised an all indoor cat didn't need to come in yearly. Fast forward a couple years, my cat had a night where he was in a lot of pain and we took him to the airport emergency vet (they did great, but dang that bill was high). Turns out, he likely has mega colon and they gave a few medications to help. Our cat massively improved. Yay! But, we contacted our primary vet (VCA) for assistance with an ongoing prescription for the medicine. First, they were very rude about our cats not being patients because we hadn't been to them in a while. Though, they advised us to come in less. Calling our cat a problem. So, I go to this check up just so they can prescribe the medicine that is already working. At the appointment, they are very rude about everything. My cat was due for a rabies vaccine and the tech essentially said if he bit him, they would have to cut off his head. So, I offer to scruff and hold my cat for the shots and stuff. But, anytime I asked questions they were really dismissive and rude. They also left the room without helping me get him back in the crate. Then, we get to checkout and they give me a paper on how to order his medicine home delivery through their app. I asked questions on pricing and how it worked and got told it was super easy and I would see it in the app. I go home and set up an account where no prescriptions show, though they said it would. I call back and they say they will figure it out. They call back to get my card info over the phone, but don't have any pricing for me. They say they will get pricing and call me back by end of day. They didn't call back that day. So, the next day I get a call that they don't think my cat needs the two prescriptions and just to keep doing an over the counter medicine. I said, no he has massively improved on the current routine and the entire reason I went in was to get prescribed what he needs. Which they agreed at the appointment was the right medication! I ask for a paper prescription I can go get filled somewhere else, they again say they will call me back. Now, this is my first time ever getting an ongoing medication for a pet. So, an entirely new process for me. I find online Chewy has a good system and affordable prices. I go to chewy and order where it has me select VCA to approve the medicine that requires a prescription. I called and left a voicemail asking they approve the prescription and I hope they do. But, working with this VET has been a nightmare. We were treated very poorly and they had no interest in helping my cat get what was needed. I highly suggest using someone else.

When I adopted my little Dinky Dingus, Indy Humane gave me a certificate to any local VCA Hospital…read more I had 2 weeks to take him in for a free checkup and receive $250 in credit towards his care. Since I had some concerns about the struggles he's had since birth, I hopped on taking advantage of such a generous gift. Making an appointment was quick and easy. They offered me an 11 a.m., next day appointment. Nice! Check in was quick and simple. Once checked in, I was called back to a room within a few minutes. We worked with Dr Shelly DeBoer and a really sweet and friendly Vet Tech. The Vet Tech brought in some squeeze cheese to help focus Dinky on something on the table, and his exam went quickly and smoothly. We discussed his challenges, things to watch for, and agreed on a course of treatment. Everything was explained to me really well and the visit did not feel rushed, at all. Dinky was gifted a welcome gift that included a free dose of Revolution and a laser pointer. He was also sent home with a couple medications and little container to collect a stool sample. I was tickled when they let me know that after paying for the medications and fecal exam, I had $50something left over and that it would roll over to our next visit! I'm really excited to see Indy Humane and VCA partnering up to offer these Care Certificates. So many people return animals once they get them home and they present with common things like kennel cough and respiratory infections. No matter how amazing the shelter, it's stressful. Then being adopted and adjusting to a new home is stressful. It just happens. This is a great way to help keep pets in homes and get people connected with a vet. Everyone we worked with, from the receptionists to the Vet, were friendly and very pleasant to work with. I noticed there is plenty of convenient, easy to clean, seating in the waiting areas. Everything appeared clean, including the exam room, and smelled pleasant. Great location!
