My wife and I were looking for a place to grab a late lunch that also offered outside dinning. We remembered seeing Kodiak Jax a few weeks previously and decided to give it a shot. The menu had a large variety of pizzas (they appear to make their own dough; but not 100% certain of this.) sandwiches, salads and wraps. After settling on a pizza and a couple of Bayern Ambers, we retired to the deck to enjoy the beautiful spring weather and watch Stevi roll by. My lasagne was served frozen. When I asked if they could serve it warm I was told they couldn't be sure - due to the microwave being broken. The lady said there was no way to check the internal temp unless she was to stick her finger in it. Odd. Then my husband was served a salad that was spongy - mushy. It's kind of hard to get a salad wrong but they managed it. I think if a restaurant is having problems with its coolers or warming devices maybe they should shut down until they have them in working order. read more

A shockingly bad experience. Ordered a Philly cheese steak pizza for carryout. When l got home l found that my Philly had no meat, just onions and peppers and precious few of them at that. It had two huge bubbles in the crust that ruined about half the pie and the little bit of cheese it had was all in the middle. Only half the pizza had any toppings at all. It appeared overcooked on the edges and undercooked in the middle. I took it back for a refund. The young lady at the counter was very pleasant and was in the process of refunding my purchase when a young man came from the kitchen and looked at the pizza. He picked up the pizza and threw it on the floor!!! This was before l asked for my 33% percent tip to also be returned. The young lady said no problem. The man said "This is bulls__t." I told him l wasn't tipping him after he screwed up my pizza and threw a fit. The young lady gave me my tip back. I told the man l didn't like his attitude and I'd be sure to let the owner know how ill behaved he was. He shouted "F__k you! Leave then! Get the f__k out! Don't come back!". He kicked at the pizza on the floor as he stormed back to kitchen. I asked the young lady to tell me his name. "It's Jayce. He's the owner's son. read more

Good food, fast service, really like the chicken Alfredo it's the best and when they deliver its on time :)

The service was great, I think she was the only person running the whole restaurant but the food was just ok. A lot of variety that's for sure. We had a half order of chicken nachos and individual southwest thriller and taco pizzas. read more

We were On budget and we used them for our wedding rehearsal dinner, and it was wonderful. We called them a week prior, and as they requested made the reservation/preorders the day before. They accommodated for 35 people, and the food was wonderful. On top of that, the creamery picnic was happening this weekend so they were very busy, but they never once made us feel unwelcomed or showed any stress. We knew it wasn't traditional to have a rehearsal dinner there, but it was perfect for us! Thank you guys for making our stressful wedding weekend easier to manage. read more

Absolutely terrible service unfortunately we went in at 3pm when it wasn't busy on 12/28/19 and had the worst service lack follow up for refills missing part of our order in addition to waiting well over an hour to get food and get charged a 20% gratuity on a 98 dollar bill. 1. Kodiak jacks needs to train on customer service and expectations roles and responsibilities.. They will blow the doors off anyone or competition if they can cause the food is good. unfortunately a messed up order and absolutely not a sole checking on us for over an hour leads to a lower bill for them and upset customer that will tell everyone about that experience. cool remodel nice inside. If this was in a big city they would be out of business with that kind of service I guarantee it but it's one of the handful of places to in in Stevensville so people unfortunately put up with it. They just need some really good training on customer service. Making the food in a timely fashion if it's going to be a while this is where the customer service would come in. And if your going to. Forgot an item I hope your able to bring it out before the rest of the family is done within there food. Good food lack of customer service. Hire someone that put a system in place for increased customer base I guarantee they are loosing lots customers due to this reason cause it's not the food or environment. read more

This is the 4th time I have dined at Kodiak Jax in Stevensville, MT. As an international sociologist, and veteran Montanan native, I found the charasmatic atmosphere quaint and homely. Truly complementary of all Montanan Hospitality that rivals southern comfort as the food is prepared by a chipper staff right in front of you (well sort of, in a kitchen you can see in right behind the counter). The dish selection is simply outstanding, and a unique variety of combinations one would not expect to find off the beaten path in frontier town. But this 5 star diamond in the rough diner will truly amaze any who sample a fresh pie hot off the grill right as you get it- with such culinary exquistitory grilled to perfection by a delightful combination of hand tossed crust and local healthy ingredients (with others bought fresh from the local grocery store or shipped in if necessary). This little mom and pop diner is sure a thriving survivor of montana ingenuity at its finest for some outlandish good grub and a cold beer of the best Montanan droughts brewed from the cellars of your local microbreweries in not only the Bitteroot Community, but also Flathead to Glacier, Bozangeles to Billings and on to Red Lodge Montana even. Of course they have domestic if your too afraid to buck up and go Montanan and slam a Pitcher of Cold Smoke Next to a Mauler, Monster, Thai Chicken or Polar Bear pie. I know it's a pizza place, but the sandwiches are incredible, amazing, awesome, make you over eat, great! The burritos are pretty darn good to. And if you came for pizza, they got some pretty amazing ones. If you go for lunch during the week you get the same ladies that have been there for a long time. They know what they are doing so be patient and you will get the best lunch in town! At night n weekends it's so busy people park down the street, but that tells you something about the food! The service is probably going to be better during the week for lunch. It's family owned by local nice people and you can find them there working all the time. Lots of things to choose from on the menu, the spicy chicken is very popular for a good reason and the seasoned steak is close 2nd! Can't go wrong the wraps or salads either! read more

Don't think their staff (likely daughters or local high schoolers) like their job. It's what you'd expect for a small town. Little competition leads to apathy. Slimey, sticky dough. Canned toppings. I had burned out on pizza and it had been 10 years since I had eaten any. I wasn't crazy about the pizza at a competing spot in Stevi so I wasn't the most enthusiastic person loading a slice of Kodiak Jax pie on my plate. Boy was I surprise and I fell in love with the pie. Garlic butter sauce on thin crust with extra cheese, mushrooms, black olives, and artichokes. I can't get enough! Love this pizza-pie!!!! read more
