Pathetic. Crew was inexperienced and had no supervision. Terrible job that cost me 10K to correct. No call back. Be careful as they did not pay suppliers. i paid with two party checks to avoid lien. Left lots of trash in the yard and damaged shrubbery. Later conversations indicated they knew of defects but hoped no one would notice. read more

Totally unacceptabl, just ended buissness with Kodiak over one employee "Ryan" can not do his job right lead a team of lost kids can never bring all the tools and right equipment to the job and shape up prepared then did a half ass job on our gutters and roof. from now on going to quality roofing at least they know how to hire professionals. read more

If you have a low pitched roof DON'T use Kodiak...they don't know anything about re-shingling low pitched roofs. In 2006 Kodiak replaced our low pitched roof and it has done nothing leak. Roof started leaking only 5 years after Kodiak did it. Kodiak has come back to do "patchwork" and re-shingle areas that wasn't done properly in the first place, but that just causes it to leak other places (the path of least resistance). Jade told us the leaks were due to condensation and we needed more vents (roof only leaks when it's raining) but we took his advice and installed larger vents in the eves and installed a solar attic fan...But when it rains ROOF IS STILL LEAKING, Jade! The leaking has caused major ceiling damage in 5 rooms. Once "patched" areas are beginning to leak AGAIN causing MORE ceiling damage. Just this year we have personally called Jade 3 times about leaks. He told us someone would come by the house but each time was a no-show. 16 years ago we paid good money for a roof to NOT leak, and all it has done is leak. read more

Horrible experience, I would say that I had them come out to fix their screw ups , But you can't get them to come at all after they are paid , You never see them again , Their warranty is worthless , They say that they have a BBB 5 star rating on their website but if you pull up the BBB site there's no data their prices might be good , But you get what you pay for .. UPDATED: Im updating this review because this company was very attentive to my issues that i experienced. They came by when i was on vacation to check the damage to the flower beds and I believe they cleaned up the trash too. Their response shows me that their company doesn't leave jobsites the way my house was left and have done everything to show me that. The roof looks great, and they offered to replace any damaged plants. They explained the invoice, which was higher due to the industry standard of billing for building permits separately. They billed my homeowners insurance and that part of the process was seamless. After the wind storm, i needed an entire roof replacement. I waited about 6 months to get the roof done, which was about 3 months after I was initially told when I signed the repair contract. They came in the early morning and we're finished the same day. I'm no expert, but it looks good. I was happy with less than a day turnaround. Unfortunately, they ruined lots of my flowers. I know they put tarps down around the house, but must have walked on them and broke off my plants. Everything on the outside of the house was covered in little black roofing pieces. A tarp attached to boards with nails sticking out of it was left in the backyard. I also found nails everywhere and there were pieces of garbage everywhere that looked like they came off the new roofing. I received the invoice the day after the roof was completed, except it was higher than the agreed upon price. read more

It's difficult to find a company that does smaller jobs. Kodiak Roofing responded immediately to our inquiry and sent someone out within a week to look at the job and provide an estimate. Their bid was reasonable and they scheduled the job quickly. They did a good job. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend them for any roofing job you have. read more

I have left phone messages, sent numerous emails, etc and have received zero from the company. The last communication was Sept 19 with Amy. On Sept 18th I had requested a quote from Kodiak for new roofing & gutters, siding and windows. As my wife and I are the owner/landlord of this particular home, I had setup with our tenant a time and date for the estimate & to forward estimate to my wife & I. On Sept 19th, Amy replied saying that the company would provide us this quote. They did go by and do the estimate, but provided the quote to our tenant & not to myself or wife like I had asked. The quote that out tenant received was only for the roof and didn't include any estimates for siding, windows etc. To this day, we have heard nothing at all from this company. I have left voicemail and have sent multiple emails which appear to fall on deaf ears. I dont know whats up with this company, but their lack of response and not following simple directions (please send me a quote, not our tenant), leaves me with great concern. I understand that things come up from time to time, but it has been almost a month of no communications, no quote, no replies etc. If this is their way of letting me know they dont want my business, they should just let me know up front. Update-I was contacted by Jamie who forwarded the partial quote. Will update when applicable. 10/24/17 (latest) update. As mentioned above, I was contacted by Jamie and thought we were on the same page. he was going to email over the quote etc, which he did.....and that was the last I have heard. I have sent a few more emails with questions, all have fallen on deaf ears and have heard nothing back. My wife had just returned from flying into Washington from 2 states away. She stopped by Kodiak on Friday 10/20 and spoke to a lady in the office to see if she could get the answers to my emailed questions. The lady said that the person who does their estimates was out until Monday and asked my wife if she would like to pick out the roofing etc. My wife picked out the roofing and left the quote with the lady and this is the last we have heard. We will be going with another roofing company as our faith in this company has dwindled. Instead of feeling like a valued customer, we seem to continually get shined on. Are they a good roofing company,? I honestly cant say as we never even made it that far, so I will leave that up to you to decide, based on the facts. read more

Kodiak roofing installed a metal roof on our house and it has been a disaster since 2016! The entire 80' roof cap leaked causing permanent damage to all our wood soffits. They attempted to fix the leak and the following snow season it leaked again and every year after. I have a good understanding how the roof system should be installed being an Architect and they missed the mark on everything they touched. Im doing you a favor by highly recommending you to avoid this company. They will not own up to all the damages and left me hanging for years! They don't even deserve one star. read more

I called around to three different companies. Kodiak was able to get the job done in the quickest time and the best price. The only reason it's not a full five stars is because one guy had to cover for his coworker that may have had personal problems. He did the entire job inside of four days almost entirely on his own. Like the review below I couldn't get them to respond to a request for a quote AFTER saying they would. I called several times, emailed and still nothing. I totally understand a lot of construction businesses are swamped right now but a simple "we are too busy at the present time, sorry" would save everyone a lot of time. I just feel any company who sees nothing wrong with treating potential customers in this manner is not a good one to use even if they later on become less busy and more responsive to inquiries. Came out for an estimate. Unlike every other roofing company in Spokane they did not give an estimate on the spot and said they would email it. Called a couple times, they never sent it at all, in fact the woman answering the phone was rude when I asked for the estimate a couple weeks after the appointment. It's totally fine if they didn't want the job, but why waste our time with the appointment at all? read more

Worst contractor I have ever worked with. They tore the roof off left a huge mess did not clean it up every night. It was so bad that I made them wash the vinyl siding of the whole house. Left stuff on the lawn and killed lots of the lawn. Would show up for one day then leave for two or three, never knew when they would be there for sure. read more

My experience with Kodiak Roofing has been ongoing since April of 2016 and has been terrible. I would not recommend them. They completed the total re-roof job in mid -April. Experience has showed me, the job is not finished until the permit is finalized. All construction needs a building permit. I have been in continuous contact with them, emails, phone calls and letters. The owner of Kodiak Roofing, Jade, does not return calls, emails or letters. It wasn't until I opened a case with the Spokane BBB in January that I got any sort of response, an email saying that we'll do the final inspection when the snow is off the eaves. I haven't had snow on my eaves for two day straight in over a month. They haven't given me the warranty for the roofing job and I still have a 'open' permit with Spokane County. I owe this company many thousands of dollars and won't make the final payment until the permit is finalized. in order to do this, Jack needs to meet a representative from Spokane County Building and Planning at my house to "open a window" , (look under a few shingles), to make sure that the "ice and water shield" was installed. Kodiak Roofing was at the Home and Garden show last weekend, so it would seem that they are out doing estimates for new roofing jobs. They should finish the job on my roof. read more
