After insurance processed it, we received a check for $500 less than what the claim had been. I called the insurance company to ask why this was, and they said that Dacus had agreed to do the work for the lower price, so with my deductible and the check they had sent I would be good to go. I called Dacus to schedule to work, however they surprised me: They said they didn't care what they had agreed to with the insurance company, they would be charging me the full price on the original estimate, and probably more, and I would just have to eat what insurance didn't cover. Thankfully, I called my insurance and was able that check voided (it was addressed to the body shop), and found another body shop that agreed to do the work at the price that Dacus had agreed to do it for before they tried to make me pay the original estimate price out of pocket. The insurance company had the documentation that Dacus had agreed to do the work for that lower price, email trail and everything, so Dacus apparently thought they would just agree to the lower price and then get some extra money on top out of me. No thanks.

I have had a few cars in the shop there and every time it was tough to hold my tongue to get through it. My last car I had done there are problems yet to be fixed. Went in for another estimate and receptionist was again very rude and owner got involved and was also very rude. I even apolagised and was trying to be overly modest even though I didnt feel I was in the wrong. I have never been to another shop that argues with you about getting an estimate and no matter what answer to the questions you have it is wrong! I had tolerated it in the past because I personally know a few employees and they usually do top notch work but with the problems of the last repair and the way they continue to treat me I will not be using them anymore. Reading through the reviews it sounds like this is a regular accurance with them! So if you want to be badgered by receptionists and verbally attacked by the owner vern winters is the place for you!! The last car I had "repaired" there the cooling fans were left unplugged cauzing my car to overheat while my wife was trying to pick up our kids from school. So I had to leave work to go help while they were stranded in front of the school for a few hours. Hopefully theres no permanent damage due to the overheating. And suddenly the battery is going dead now like something else isnt hooked up or is staying on. Thats just excellent work guys! :)

We even took half the motorcycle apart trying to find the sticker or something to identify the the color code. I got tired and left. I went back again the next day and he did identify the color and the painter was actually working on my finder. This dude had the part finished the next day. I had to think long and hard if this cycle worth what the bill was going to be. I looked the fender over very good and the match was perfect. Considering there are over 2 million colors to chose from. They charged my a modest price and the best paint job anyone could ask for. DRIVERS BEWARE!! As…read moremuch as I hate to blast a small business on Facebook, Schroll's Body and Paint has gone out of its way to prompt this post. Background: two years ago I had a repair done in which Schrolls repaired this fender flare - including the messed up/mismatched paint. Fast forward two years, and I am back for another repair to the same side. When the repairs were complete (the second picture) this is what they gave back to me as "repaired." When I complained, Chance (the owner) told me that I could pay out of pocket or get a supplemental claim and they would fix it. When I followed up to get this OBVIOUS problem corrected, they refused to do the work. Yesterday, I recieved this message from the shop: "After reviewing the photos we took of your Jeep in February, we have decided to return the check to XXXXXX since it clearly did not match before we did repairs in early April. We are not interested in doing anymore repairs to your vehicle. You can talk to your insurance about sending the check to a different body shop. Thank you, Ashley Cottrell" This company is always free to refuse service to anyone, but they are not allowed to do shoddy work, promise to make it right for more money, and then refuse the work AFTER ackowledging the problem needing repair. __________________________________________________ Summary: - the Jeep color is standard 1990 jeep metallic khaki (Chrysler paint code PJ5/HJ5) and should have been easily matchable - Schrolls did the work that resulted in the mismatched paint the first time. - Schrolls replaced the molding with an aftermarket molding that does not match up with the original by 1/4 of an inch AND it is improperly mounted/mated to the step molding. - Schrolls failed to blend the right wheel molding with the step molding - Schrolls committed to completing/fixing the work upon completion of a supplemental claim. - Schrolls refuses to correct their substandard work after accepting payment for that substandard work. Regardless, all anyone really needs to know is that the owners of Schrolls Body and Paint ALLOWED/APPROVED this work out of their shop AND defended their use of ill-fitting aftermarket parts, misaligned molding, and mismatched paint - AND THEN refused to fix their shoddy work WHILE keeping the insurance payment.
