DRIVERS BEWARE!! As much as I hate to blast a small business on Facebook, Schroll's Body and Paint has gone out of its way to prompt this post. Background: two years ago I had a repair done in which Schrolls repaired this fender flare - including the messed up/mismatched paint. Fast forward two years, and I am back for another repair to the same side. When the repairs were complete (the second picture) this is what they gave back to me as "repaired." When I complained, Chance (the owner) told me that I could pay out of pocket or get a supplemental claim and they would fix it. When I followed up to get this OBVIOUS problem corrected, they refused to do the work. Yesterday, I recieved this message from the shop: "After reviewing the photos we took of your Jeep in February, we have decided to return the check to XXXXXX since it clearly did not match before we did repairs in early April. We are not interested in doing anymore repairs to your vehicle. You can talk to your insurance about sending the check to a different body shop. Thank you, Ashley Cottrell" This company is always free to refuse service to anyone, but they are not allowed to do shoddy work, promise to make it right for more money, and then refuse the work AFTER ackowledging the problem needing repair. __________________________________________________ Summary: - the Jeep color is standard 1990 jeep metallic khaki (Chrysler paint code PJ5/HJ5) and should have been easily matchable - Schrolls did the work that resulted in the mismatched paint the first time. - Schrolls replaced the molding with an aftermarket molding that does not match up with the original by 1/4 of an inch AND it is improperly mounted/mated to the step molding. - Schrolls failed to blend the right wheel molding with the step molding - Schrolls committed to completing/fixing the work upon completion of a supplemental claim. - Schrolls refuses to correct their substandard work after accepting payment for that substandard work. Regardless, all anyone really needs to know is that the owners of Schrolls Body and Paint ALLOWED/APPROVED this work out of their shop AND defended their use of ill-fitting aftermarket parts, misaligned molding, and mismatched paint - AND THEN refused to fix their shoddy work WHILE keeping the insurance payment. I had my 2016 pickup towed to Schroll Body and Paint. From the get go; Chance was very easy to get along with, and he told me exactly what to expect and how long to expect before the pickup was done. I would never wish anyone to need a body shop; however, if you do need a body shop; I strongly recommend Schroll Body and Paint. My pickup actually looks better today than it did before my accident. Needed an estimate from them because I went to a car wash and they scratched my paint and I spoke with Darrell (I'm sitting in the lot right now!) He came out to look at my car as I was explaining the situation to him, he started to state that one was a door ding and the other one was dirt. I immediately told him to stop and I would go elsewhere. He just said OK, and walked away. It was really upsetting, but glad to take my business elsewhere.This was the 4th estimate I was getting, trying to get a well rounded opinion. However he was not intelligent enough to realize what was dirt and a scratch. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. Took me less than 5 minutes to realize their business was not worth it! UPDATE NOVEMBER 22, 2015. Janet Schroll commented on my post on their Facebook page, and stated that in her professional opinion it was a door ding, and that she was sorry that it wasn't what I wanted to hear. My 2015 Toyota 4Runner's hood was dented and scratched by a piece of concrete that fell from the ceiling of a parking garage. Schroll replaced my hood and matched the paint perfectly. It look brand new when I picked it up. Best part was that they charged me half of what another body in Manhattan quoted me. I hate going to any kind of auto shop just cause I feel like they are always out to get your money. I did not feel this way with this body shop. I received an estimate from Darrell the owner and he gave me a pretty decent quote comparable to the other quotes I received. I had to replace my fender and do touch up paint on my top bumper. My bottom bumper was scuffed up but he told me if it didn't bother me then I don't need to replace it to save money. Another place straight up told me since it was textured they would have to replace it. They didn't even tell me it was unnecessary. Anyways, this place seems honest and I would take my car back again if I needed to. The people are also very polite. read more

they are horrible i took my car for a repair from an accident they put two diffrent color pieces on my car i took it back they painted my whole front of my car a different color then the rest of my car the owner said theres nothing else they can do about it he lied and said when the piece first came in they where black so why did he paint them grey when my car is a voliet tone to it and then he said i didnt charge you to blend in the color...hes the one that made the mistake...they dont know what they are doing and im taking them to court because now i have to pay $800 from another place to fix what they meesed up more. read more

My son took his car there for repair. They painted the hood and after the warranty was void it began to blister and peel! The hood is missing paint on half the surface! I've never seen anything so awful! No wonder their warranty is limited! Avoid this place!!! read more
