Met with Jim Mendez who made the car buying process very easy. We went through the numbers, ran my credit, signed some documents and we were done! Jim was upfront, clear, and consise. No added weird fees either. And just like that the car was ready in a few hours and I went home with a brand new car. Buy here! Waited 3 hours for a sloppy car maintenance job that should've taken 5 minutes anywhere else for a third of the price. They charged me for a 25,000-mile service but only did a basic 5,000-mile one--didn't even bother rotating the tires. Cassandra in particular always takes care of me with a bright smile, congenial personality and she always makes me feel like I'm family. Communication is clear I always understand what's going on . Although it can be mind-numbing boring waiting for your car to be serviced., I find that time flies once I'm waiting. They have a nice set up for people -Internet connection snacks and TV. I was in Buffalo for a year and I never use any of the Mazda's Upstate because I really trusted this particular location . Worst place ever brought my car here for service and they had my car for two weeks. They did nothing same problems, same issues and also bad communication. There was something wrong with my suspension and they claimed I denied the service which I never got a called to decline anything, they were supposed to change The engine mount and they did not change anything only tighten screws and changed the rubber for the engine mount. Don't understand. How did these guys have my car for two weeks and did nothing ridiculous I do not recommend this place. But last but not least I was told I will get a call for what they did to the car. Worst service experience ever. Bought a brand new CX-90, barely has been six months, already have multiple alerts including inactive fual indicator and engine malfunction. Tried to get it inspected and get a loaner sooner given that we have a newborn and have hospital appointments. Got zero support, and no waiting list. Was told to "check back in a week and that there is no call back to be provided". So much for "providing a good deal in a neighborhood" that they said when selling the car. Stay away!!! I've unfortunately needed to service my Mazda cx5 here a few different times. (It always has problems and the rats seem to love to chew this cars engine wires) I've had a horrible experience everytime. Their service reps are rude beyond any reason. I've heard employees inside while I was waiting bashing other customers and making comments about making the "difficult" ones wait. They leave you on hold, Play phone games and don't call you back. It's literally insane the people they hire who hate being a service rep and helping people. I've had to call and speak to a manager every time I've interacted with an employee and then the situation is usually remedied with fake passive aggressive weird behavior. It's not normal. Come here for standard service on my Mazda and the only thing is the time it takes. 12 noon appointment on Sat for a Tire Pressure sensor check and NY State Emissions/Safety inspection and a change for in cabin filter. Got there a few late due to weather...and didn't leave until close to 4pm. That's right! Longest appointments for non-major work service. The team there is super friendly and nice though and they have a good waiting area with snacks. Also, always nice to walk through the showroom to see the new cars. read more

I recently purchased a certified pre-owned 2022 Mazda CX-5 from Koeppel Mazda. I found the car online and was comfortable with the pricing. I reached out online and almost immediate heard back by text from Navita. She confirmed that the car was available, and we set an appointment for a few days later. She promised to let me know if the car was sold by then. She confirmed the appointment and availability with me a few hours before the appointment. I had zero waiting time when I arrived and worked with Matt in sales. We were test driving in 10 minutes and doing paperwork in 30. Other than a computer glitch between my lender and the dealer, the day could not have done smoother. When I came back to close (after the lender fixed their issue), the finance manager (Alex) was thorough without being pushy. Matt again proved himself to be excellent with a very good handoff of the vehicle. All in all, I don't think this could have been a better car buying experience. read more

Nothing sooner. I tried to get info about how they would find my car and if I'd need a tow, or any other essential info and the outsourced customer rep literally said, "this concludes your customer service experience, thank you for calling." Ordered a car from them and waited two months but never arrived. I suspect they may have resold the car to someone else instead. Full story below: Sat down with the Manager Ben and Sales Rep Dibeen on April and placed a deposit for a mazda 3 preferred. Both manager and sale rep quoted and estimated 1-2 months for the cars arrive. Fast forward a month later, I hear nothing from them, not even a chirp. I reached out to the sales rep for an update and he texted back May 4th as an arrival date. Everything went great until the day before pick up. There was no communication whatsover such as when to come pick it up, what's needed, etc. I'm glad I checked in the day before because when the manager asks you to call it means sht went down. Long story short, they have no idea where my car is, or when it'd arrive. The manager Ben said he had no idea why the time frame was quoted but the dude was there at the table too when I signed for the car and also quoted 1-2 months. The manager had the audacity to offer me a hatchback for 1200$ more. Not even the same price but wanted me to pay more?...for a car I didn't even want? Is this a bait and switch? For 2 months they played this game and wasted another month of my time to return my deposit. I had to make multiple calls and threaten to report them before my deposit was returned. TLDR: Came to Koeppel Mazda from Jersey City where we seem to have every dealer except a Mazda dealer. All I can say is that 2 hour trip was worth it hands down. Trip 1: Came to the dealership and was promptly greeted by my sales rep Raul. My girlfriend and I came in somewhat unsure of whether we wanted a Mazda CX-5 or a CX-30, or a Mazda at all for that matter having come from years of the "Mopar or No Car" mentality. Raul first showed us the showroom CX-30 and was happy to answer any questions we had. Sleek car no doubt but little small for our needs. Next we got to see the (I think preowned) CX-5 and immediately it felt like I was sitting in a NX series Lexus- this thing was N.I.C.E. Raul answered a few questions about the car and I just had to drive one. Despite not having any new CX-5s on the lot, Raul was able to get a CX-5 over from their off property warehouse in under 15-min. Test drive happened right then and there. It was even the trim package and colour I was looking for. Meaningless to say I was sold. Trip 2: Came back after a weekend of getting finances in order and awaiting Toyota financial's APR decision. Got that .9% APR and worked with the finance manager Dante who definitely made me feel at ease the entire time. Less than an hours worth of signing papers and doing a walkaround of the car and I'm driving my new baby home. Raul also took the time to explain every feature of the car and its infotainment system. Trully a 5-star customer experience with him. Anyways I was told you know you love a car when you look back at it every time you walk away from it.. I get that now. The latest time was an oil change and alignment and was quoted 3 to 3.5 hrs. I don't think they even looked at my car until after 4.5 hrs. You know you're paying 2-4x the normal service price going to a dealership, which I was ok doing under the assumption that my car would be treated well and I'd have less to worry about. Quite the opposite. The first time I came in was because I had a blinker out (under 5K miles on my CX-5). They changed the blinker, I picked up my car, and driving back noticed my emergency light was on when I got the car back. I came back and they reset the light. A bit careless to give me the car back without checking that , but truly no big deal if that was all. This last time time, I came for routine oil change/10k mile check. For the second time I waited 20-30min for someone to talk to me despite having an appointment, but otherwise everything seemed fine. I hadn't driven my car further than home and around the block a few times for alternate side parking until a few days later, when I took my first longer drive since bringing it to Koeppel Mazda, at which point I turned the music down and noticed an odd sound from the engine/turbo. I popped my hood and the air intake was literally never reattached under the hood. I was absolutely blown away. They literally left my car in a state where running it as such could cause permanent damage to the engine if I hadn't heard the slight difference in sound and addressed it. I have no idea if the people working there are just sloppy, or if they are so short staffed that even a reasonable worker would make such mistakes (I've pulled up with an appointment and had to wait 20-30min for someone to talk to me both times) but regardless if they're messing up this really obvious visible sort of stuff, I can only imagine what kind of nonsense they're doing that I can't readily see when they actually service my car. I emailed the manager everything here, he called me a few days later, and basically said "I'm sorry, not sure what else to say" and that was that. You'd think they'd give a refund for my service or some discount... fairly basic move when your business screws up like this, which leads me to believe that it's not just the technician but that this place is just straight up incompetently run. He asked if I wanted to come back to have my car looked at. I didn't bother asking if that was for free or for a charge because I would not let this place pay me to touch my car at this point. If you care about your car, find a corner shop that you can trust and pay literally 1/4 of the price for service that wont damage your car. read more

My partner and I leased a CX30 on Saturday May 8, 2021. Since we had already test driven another CX30 prior and this vehicle was ordered and waiting for us, we left the dealership without test driving our car. Immediately upon leaving the dealership, we noticed that the windshield was heavily distorted. It was as if we were looking through a magnifying glass or wearing someone else's prescription glasses. It was very uncomfortable on the eyes and created a dizzying effect. We left at closing time so could not immediately bring the car back to the dealership. Furthermore, the brand-new car was not properly inspected and was empty on windshield wiper fluid. We called the dealership the next day (Sunday 5/9) and texted our sales consultant, Manny Aguilar, on Monday (5/10) who instructed us to bring back the vehicle on Saturday 5/15 and that we did not need to make an appointment. Come Saturday, we were told that the service department was too busy and that we had to take time off of work during the workweek to bring in our car. We returned the car to the service department on Monday 5/17 and were told that the distortion was obvious and clear. We picked up the car on 5/29. We asked for compensation for the time lost since taking a defective, undrivable brand new car off their lot and it was clear that the vehicle was not properly inspected. Carlos Perez, service manager, when asked about why his service department failed to catch the obvious distortion in the window as well as the lack of windshield wiper fluid in the car, he stated that it was not his department's fault but that it was Corporate's mistake. He was defensive and he instructed us to call the Sales Manager and Corporate to discuss compensation. He proceeded to argue rather than to accept responsibility and asked that we "agree to disagree" about who was at fault. When told that the phrase did not make sense in this context and that it was not up for debate that his department factually missed obvious problems, he proceeded to say that this was an argument over semantics and accused me of having already been upset when I first arrived. The conversation with Mr. Perez was an example of how poor customer service and disrespect fueled problems rather than solve them. As soon as we left the dealership that day, we noticed that the second windshield was also distorted, making long distances and quick visual scanning blurry and uncomfortable on the eyes. Again, it appeared as though we were wearing someone else's prescription glasses. I called and left voice messages for Ray Mosquera, sales manager, each day on Tuesday June 1 through Thursday June 3. I received a call back on Friday June 4. After explaining that the second windshield is still distorted as well as my experience with Mr. Perez, Mr. Mosquera noted that he would need to talk with Mr. Perez and would return my call by Wednesday of the next week. I did not hear from Mr. Mosquera on Wednesday June 9. I left a voicemail for Mr. Mosquera on Friday, June 11. Mr. Mosquera returned my called Monday June 14. He explained that he had spoken to Mr. Perez and apologized for the delay and troubles. I also reiterated that we expected full compensation for the time it takes to fix our problem, as we do not expect to pay monthly lease for a brand-new car that is undrivable. He noted that he would need to "bust corporate's chops" in order to work on the compensation. He also told me to expect a call from Mr. Perez, who called me about 10-15 minutes later. Mr. Perez asked us to bring the car back in and, when asked about compensation, repeated that we take it one step at a time and that they would need to "bust corporate's chops." He also returned to the "agree to disagree" argument and apologized that it was not meant the way that I took it. We brought the car back to the service department that day on Monday June 14. We picked up the car again on Thursday July 1. Again, the windshield is distorted but now there are clear scratches on the rear bumper and on the hood of the car. It is now nearly 2 months since we've gotten this car and we have been through 3 defective windshields. We have not heard from either Mr. Perez or Ms. Mosquera regarding compensation as of today (July 2). Our families have driven Toyotas, Hondas, BMWs, Ford, Mercedes, Porsche, Scion, Acura, Jeep, and Volkswagon. No prior experiences compares to the experience we've had at Koeppel Mazda nor have we ever experienced the disrespect, unreliability, and lack of communication in another dealership team. We contacted Corporate today and there is no documentation or open case regarding the windshield attached to our VIN - so no one has yet to "bust corporate's chops." Complaint with BBB also filed. Feel free to check out the photos of your leaky windshield pinned to the page from months ago. Nice service you have Koeppel: "Where does one begin... Initially, I had high hopes for Koeppel. My brand new 2020 Mazda3, had its windshield damaged. After calling, I was very pleased with how professional Koeppel spoke to me on the phone. Sadly, upon arrival at Koeppel for my appointment, another customer reversed into my car while inside the Koeppel service bay. Needless to say, I was very upset about this occurrence. I waited diligently for someone to attend to my car and speak to me about how this would be repaired, waiting for over an hour. Not their fault, of course. Initially, Carlos was very polite and even provided me with the security camera footage so that I would not be liable for any damages. However, when I had asked about a loaner vehicle, he barked back sternly: "We do not give loaners for body-damage!" It was quite a rude way to put it, as if I was greedy to ask for such a thing? I get a call from Carlos a week or so later that the car "looks great," to which I said, "excellent, that's reassuring." We scheduled a pick up date later that week. However this is when the "service" began to fall apart. The car apparently could not be released until Koeppel had received a check from Geico. This strange policy kept my car at their dealership for another 5 days until they opened their mailbox. An inconvenience, sure, but hopefully, everything would be fixed, right? Wrong. Upon finally arriving to pick up the vehicle, my father and I inspected the car to find that both the left side of the hood and left side bumper were not correctly aligned and visibly seen to have large body gaps. Carlos came to inspect and, initially, claimed, "I don't see it." Only once I pulled up my loaner Mazda3 of the same make and model did he agree that the bumper around the left headlight was popping out. 2 days later, I get a call from Carlos that they cannot fix the bumper panel alignment because it is "plastic." I had already contacted other body shops with photos that promised they could correctly attach the bumper, so this was strange and disappointing. I came back the same day to pick up the car. Upon signing papers, I asked Carlos if he could recommend any other Mazda certified body shop, to which he said, "I cannot." What? Someone in the automotive repair business cannot refer me to another body shop? On top of this, he tried, patronizingly, to call me over by curling his finger to say, "you alright? Let me show you the car" I was shocked; that is not how you speak to someone, let alone a customer. It was as if he thought I was a child, and not a customer who understands how a repair should be done. This interaction alone left me with a bad taste in my mouth, because I realized that Carlos, despite his friendly demeanor, never respected me as a customer despite everything that has occurred. 10 days after pickup, I wake up in the morning after rain to find that my car windshield is leaking into the interior! The windshield that Koeppel themselves had assured they would replace properly! I was astonished at how sloppy Koeppel and the body shop had been with my car. The next Monday, I came to replace it properly. If you are reading this, Carlos, or Koeppel, you need to consider your dealership's attention to detail. You are *not* in the business of servicing vehicles; rather, you are in the business of supporting your community. When the body shop messes up, and windshield leaks, this is a reflection of the respect that your dealership affords another family's investment in their vehicle. You cannot call me and say, "the car looks great," for you to then agree that it is not aligned correctly when I come to see it. You cannot assure me that you've done the job correctly, only for your windshield replacement to cause more damage to my car. In my line of work, being emergency medicine, not paying attention to details can result in injury or death. You should conduct yourself with the same precision and passion as though it were your vehicle being serviced. I would recommend that you think hard about the mistakes you made with handling my vehicle. I will not be returning to your dealership, ever, after this gross negligence and incompetent service on your part. I hope you learn to never treat another customer in this fashion. Your dealership is a stain on an otherwise great automotive brand. Good riddance!
