Kohl's fills a niche for us when shopping for clothes, shoes, accessories and some household items. This location is standard Kohl's fare -- good selection, off season sales are hard to beat, well known brands, and super helpful staff. The value comes from clearance items or marked down stuff including shoes. Their everyday prices are seldom going to be the lowest but we prefer Kohl's versus other retail options (Costco, Walmart, Target, Amazon) for specific purchases. read more

went to this location for a return out of convenience. Already tried to return online order in another store and for some reason the item number would not pull up so was told to call (brier creek). No, they didn't offer to call in the store. After calling customer service, was told to go back and call in and they would walk them through the return. Told the employee at Cary what happened and to call in. Response was "I've been here for 3 years and never heard of that". Hey, first time for everything and since you were having the same problem let's just call in like I was told to. Of course customer service phone (which Cary didn't know who to call) was not someone very fluent in English. Still waiting on a refund for 3 weeks now. I'm done with Kohl's everywhere. Look at the discounts they have, after you do the sales and discount you could've got that same item elsewhere for that price without the Kohl's discount. So many limitations on the discounts, even how many times you can use the 30% off per year. Personally, I don't see them lasting. Sooner or later they will go bankrupt. read more

Came here to use my Kohl dollars. I usually go to another location but I was closer to this one today. Store was ok, no staff on the sales floor. Myself and another lady were trying to find certain sections and asking other shoppers. It was hard to find what I was looking for at a decent prices despite the "sales" that were posted. I settled for what I could find and left. Luckily the line was not too long for check out so that was not an issue this time, but I wonder if the check out girl can talk? The website appeared to show lots of swimsuits, but when I went to the store, the selection was terrible. I tried on several and even size XL was designed for a 10 year old. Lots of size XS was in stock for most items and the styles were ugly. Their prices are ridiculously high for low quality clothing, and there's always a gimmick to inspire you to sign up for their credit card and get future discounts, but you'll pay much more in the end. I had a cart and they clearly don't plan their store to actually use one. I kept bumping into things bc their aisles were so narrow. Overall, lousy experience. read more

Good place to shop for clothing, gifts, household items, etc. The store is organized, employees are friendly, and the items are reasonably priced and often discounted. Plus if you bring your amazon returns here you get a $5 coupon. The Amazon return area is clearly marked and in the back of the store. At first I thought this was annoying since you have to walk to the back (by bedding), but it actually makes the process smoother and it's convenient if you plan to shop anyway. The bathrooms are clean and the store seemed adequately staffed however they need more employees at the registers. There was one employee with a trainee at the check out when I was there. I'm a huge fan of Kohl's for a variety of reasons, and I was reminded of that as I was browsing around the Crossroads area over the weekend. Prices are competitive Selection is pretty durn good They actually have stuff I like, whether it be socks or ties in the Men's dept, the kitchen gadgets or what not. Think about it, how many places carry "Chocolate Fondue" pots? Only complaint: Granted it's the Christmas season, and Saturdays in December are pretty busy, it seemed a little ridiculous that the check out lines went from one corner of the front of the store to the other. read more

I shopped here with one other person on a Sunday afternoon. These are my thoughts and observations. - The displays were utterly destroyed. You have to dig to find what you want. - They had a great selection of shorts. - The shoes and jackets selection was lacking variety. - The cashier would not respond to any small talk; she just ignored me. Overall, it's a typical retail experience. I shop here because they carry pants and shorts in my size, but I don't enjoy myself. read more

Saw several clerks talking so when I went to check out I was a little surprised when there was ONE lone register open for the entire store with an elderly fella that seemed to be having a problem (on phone with supervisor or someone talking him thru a transaction) The line was 8 persons long. Amazon returns are a breeze. You also receive a coupon when you return your Amazon products. Makes it hard not to shop. I've ordered online for store pick up and the orders are ready within hours. It seems like it's managed properly now. Makes me happy since it's the closest Kohl's for us. read more

While this Kohl's isn't the cleanest or the most organized store in Wake County, it is one of the better stocked stores of its kind. Kohl's always manages to get me in the door with their coupons! The clearance sections in this particular Kohl's are always chock full of fabulous deals! It's worth the digging- I consistently get shirts for around $5 and pants for around $10. Best advice I can give anyone shopping here- NEVER pay full price at this or any Kohl's. There's always a coupon somewhere and most of the time they'll give you one at the register if you ask. There is a coupon if you log into the wifi at this location! (I have had trouble pulling it up in the past but when I mention it, they go ahead and take whatever the $ or % is off.) Enjoy! read more

I like Kohls, never at an issue at this store, it's clean and staff are nice. But, PLEASE carry tall size jeans!!! Please! Their are tall women in this world (not just big and tall) it is extremely frustrating to have to order on line most clothes and frankly sometimes they fit differently when bought on line. While the store is pretty well stocked and the staff that I have encountered are friendly, the major turn off for me is checking out. Every single time I go and check out, I hear a sales pitch that feels like 20 minutes [although it is probably about 5 minutes]. It doesn't matter how many times I have said, "no thank you I'm not interested" the cashiers go on and on about the Khol's credit card. I've worked retail before and get that you have to sell certain products, but there has to be a point where you hit stop. Please!! read more

After giving this location many chances right now rather drive to North Raleigh or Brier Creek then deal with the Kohl's. The store always seems like it has too much in it for the actual space and the sale racks or clearance racks are always ransacked through no organization and looks like a tornado went through the section. The shoe department is just as bad all the time; shoes are everywhere and you can never find your size. I never really see employees around the store to help customers looking for items. My biggest issue is how the cashier I went to this past trip wont let the Kohl's charge card go. I get they have to ask but once the customer says no thank you that we are not interested then it is time to end that topic. This women the whole transaction would not listen to me and kept talking about the Kohl's charge and how it would help me. Petty, unfriendly staff. They are running a scratch off sale and the cashier didn't offer me a ticket to scratch off; I had to ask for one and when I asked for one more to take with me, she said no. They need to learn the meaning of friendly and helpful customer service. It's the customer base that fuels their sales. I don't think I'll be shopping there anymore. The least friendly staff I have ever encountered at a kohls store. Do not come to this store near closing as they are pushy and rude to get you out of the store at closing time so they can go home. Horrible customer service. Will not shop at this kohls ever again. Staff should put away clothes in fitting rooms instead of harassing customers to get out right on time. The cashiers are incredibly obnoxious in their push for customers to apply for Kohl's credit cards. I like their clothes, and git some really neat things at decent prices, but it wasn't fun checking out. I shouldn't have to say "no" more than once. Just called Kohl's in Cary to see a vacuum available online if also available in store. A woman picked up the phone, once I told her what I need to know, she said she will transfer my to a department, but the call I made was in the correct department--- house department. I can usually find 1 or 2 things that I need. Mostly socks or good deals on exercise clothing. I've never really ventured out to find more things. Kohl's cash is always a good thing to build up. I never seem to spend over 100 bucks at time here to receive the 10.00 Kohl's cash, maybe once or twice. I'm rather frugal when it comes to work out clothing, but it has to be made well and not fall apart after 1 to 2 washes. I've had good luck so far. Appliances are over-priced here, like blenders, coffee machines etc.. Jewelry and shoes are decently priced, but I recommend watching out for sales on those items. Sometimes the clerks have scratch off cards at the register that are good for 15 to 30 percent off at time of purchase. Just ask before checking out because I don't think that promotion is ever advertised. read more

Sizeist in the extreme! The store actually charges MORE for larger sizes - I found this out today. A belt - not made of gold - was $4 more for the L/XL size than for the S/M size. What's more, it took asking two different people to get the price to match. The first, an officious young stick insect, actually had the nerve to tell me that it was priced higher because more material was used (we're talking maybe an inch more of A BELT). The second just looked at me blankly until I asked what he was going to do about it. While I generally like the merchandise at Kohl's I am unfortunately unable to shop there anymore because I must pay for things with bank money orders or checks. Their check system would not approve my check since it was a brand new account and they don't take money orders. So, no shopping at Kohl's for me. Not so helpful are they either. read more

My mother and I recently bought a item and wanted to check out at the Jewelry counter. The general manager chelsea refused to serve us and said that they were taking customers from the main line which was absolute bs. I've been shopping at the Kohl's in Crossroads for a couple of years now. This location tends to be better stocked than others in the area. I've always found the staff to be helpful and courteous. With that being said, the store never seems to have enough staff on duty. The employees I see are always hard at work but there are simply not enough people to keep up with long lines during rush times and housekeeping. I often find myself digging through large piles to sort out the right sizes where shelves haven't been organized after a day of eager shoppers. The biggest thing I can think of to improve this store is for management to schedule more staff for peak times and housekeeping duties. read more

I bought a couple of Items the other day and the register had a malfunction of sorts after I had run my card and we had to switch registers. The cashier was not to blame and I was more than understanding. Long story short, I was charged twice and the management wouldn't refund me the amount owed. It wasn't even a large amount but they were very obstinate. read more
