Pros: the young guy that was originally helping me and the suit that I purchased. Cons: almost too many to name. 1. It seemed like every employee was fighting to get commission. 2. Once I was ready to pay, no one was willing to wait on me. If I'm spending over $500 on a suit, somebody probably needs to check me out. I was about 30 seconds away from dropping my purchase and walking out. In retrospect, I probably should have left. 3. The guy that checked me out seemed like he was in a hurry to get me out of the building. 4. Once I was rung up, and came home, I checked my receipt and was overcharged $30 from the tags on my purchase. 5. When I called the hotline to have that fixed, the girl helping me, Carmen, seemed annoyed at my request. I wasn't asking to save money, just to be charged what the tags said I should've been charged. 6. Rather than refunding the overcharge to my card, Carnen made it seem like I was at fault, and said the only options were to drive an hour+ to the store and get a refund, or get a store credit. 7. When I stated I didn't want a credit or to drive over an hour to the store, I told her I wanted it put on my card and she said we can only send you a check that will take you over a month to receive. Additionally, she said I would be returned the 29.99 that was overcharged to my purchase, and not the additional tax that I was charged. Other than one guy at the store, and a great suit that I purchased, I was overcharged, treated poorly, and was made to feel like I was wrong. I would not recommend the store to anyone. Although I still endorse Men's Wearhouse, I highly recommend everyone to avoid the CARY location. It is an absolute crap fest. Will NEVER shop at this location again. The guy that checked me out even complained about other employees for not putting up signs reflecting a discount on ties. Not at all professional, and after being overcharged for what I purchased and told too go look at the ties, I'm glad I didn't as I likely would have been charged full price as apposed to the sale price he was offering. read more

Unfortunately updating my previous review with a lower rating. Men's Warehouse has gone downhill since our first visit, particularly at the Cary location. We stopped by for a fitting for a suit rental. I called in advance to schedule an appointment, but they said to just visit anytime. When we arrived, there seemed to be several employees and no customers. We told the first employee that we saw that we were there for a rental suit fitting. He said we had to go to the section on the left. We then informed the employee in this section that we were there for a fitting. He said we had to check in online. We checked in online as requested and then waited. This whole process seemed entirely pointless and time consuming. After waiting a while, the employee that asked us to check in online then walked back over and said he would be the one helping us. Although Men's Warehouse told the groom that all we needed to provide was the groom's name to pull up the rental information, we actually needed the code. The code was on the receipt given to the groom at the time. Therefore, I had to call the groom to ask for the code. This wasted more time as I found out later that they could have pulled up the information with just a name. By the time we got the code, the employee was on the other side on the store. I walked to the other side of the store to inform him that we were ready and provided the code. This wasted even more time. Finally we were ready for the fitting. The fitting itself did not take too long. They take some measurements in the main area of the store. Then you go back to the fitting area to try on pants, shirts, and jackets. I was surprised at how few options there were for sizes. Not just in-store to try on but also online. Choose a suit jacket that either fits too tight or too loose. Choose pants that fit around your hip or your thigh. It's only a rental for one day so it won't be a huge issue. The cost of a rental suit was surprising. A suit rental was ~$250. At least to me that sounds ridiculous. You do pick up the suit 2 days in advance. We were assured this would be enough time to make any necessary adjustments. Then you return it the next day. The process of picking it up and returning it was smooth. Overall, inefficient pricy experience. read more

Going to have to agree with all of the terrible reviews of this location. My fiancé and I went in to pick suits for our groomsmen and were told that it would be fine to have them come as a group to get measured since they wanted to make a day out of it. The associate that day was pleasant but didn't really seem to know any of the products and gave us a price point that ended up being very low compared to what was actually paid. When my fiancé and his groomsmen showed up a few months later, they were met with immediate rudeness and were told they were coming in too early for a March wedding and that they would only have time to do measurements for 2 out of 6 of them. When my fiancé explained that they wanted to get this done before the busy holiday season, they were reluctantly measured (only two) and told that their bodies were guaranteed to change so there was no point. I already spoke to customer service and they advised that reservations should be made...good to know. We were never told that previously. It should be noted that my fiancé and his groomsmen were more than happy to wait and go into the physical store one by one or in pairs to make it easier on staff. Instead they were refused and 4 out of 6 went home with no measurements. While on the phone, we also discovered that the associate had rung up the order under the wrong loyalty account, so I hope whoever that is enjoys our points! We will likely be cancelling the rental at this point. There are other good suit rental businesses and weddings are way too expensive to deal with this kind of headache. read more

I don't like leaving one star reviews My experience was such that I contacted customer service to register a complaint and have heard nothing back so I'll make this public In their attempts to control the amount of people in the store They would lock the front door with customers inside. When I pointed out that they can't do that from a safety standpoint I was told "yes we can" I pointed to the sign on the door that stated "door must be kept Unlocked when open for business" and the very short tempered staff person said that he was authorized to do it by his upper management. From that point on he treated me very poorly I watched several people try to leave the store after their purchase and struggle to figure out how to unlock the door. This has nothing to do with the store, the sales staff, or the in store management. Upper management refuses to acknowledge covid protocols and refuses to close the store to allow employees to get tested after they were all exposed to an another employee in the store who tested positive and was in contact with the entire staff before they knew they had covid. The staff is allowed to get tested on their own time, but we're told they must come to the store to work and they can get tested later if they want. Upper management cares more about their sales bonuses than the health of their staff and safety of their customers. It's completely disrespectful to their employees and customers as well as a giant slap in the face to all of the front line workers who have been working tirelessly throughout this pandemic to help people and to slow the spread. I had to make 5 trips. The first time the salesclerk literally tossed me a suit for my grown son that would fit a child and walked off, despite the fact that I had given her the measurements. After approximating another suit, I left but had to return the next day for a larger size. By accident the clerk put the SAME suit that I'd returned back in the bag!!! So another 18 mile drive was required to pick up the correct suit, which was still too small. Businesses should make sure they hire ENOUGH salespeople to accommodate customers, and not require only 2 employees to run the floor, customers AND cash register in a large store. My son is getting married on 9/14/19 and decided to purchase his suit through this store. My other son, who is in the wedding party lives in Annapolis, MD and we were unable to get the correct color and style locally, specifically the Bowie store. I called this store and spoke with Joe, the assistant manager there. He was able to get the exact sizes my son needed by simply asking me a few questions and then making arrangements to have the suit shipped to the Gambrills, MD store. It arrived and yesterday we were able to have it fitted and sent out for alterations so it will be ready in time. Thank you Joe for going the extra mile for us! read more

I have always received excellent customer service at other retail locations especially the Winston Salem area. However, I must say the Cary location would greatly benefit from customer service training for their associates. Gentleman who assisted me was very short and obviously stressed. I wanted to exchange 2 pair of pants and have the order shipped to me as I had done in the past at another location. He stated that he didn't have time to do that and would refund me. I explained that the suit jacket was perfect but I needed a different size in the pants. He said "you can do that online, I don't have time to do that. Then stated to another gentleman behind me, "I'll get to you when I can or maybe you just want to come back later when I'm not so busy". I commend this organization for other sites but this location in Cary was extremely disheartening. So, I came home with my card refunded but left with trying to find the pants on my own and reordering. On the way out of the store I thanked him for his time and said have a great day. Absolutely, would never recommend this place after the experience my family and I went through today. My sister is planning a wedding and we called in advance to see if we needed an appointment and were told no. We got to the store, were asked to sign in and someone would be with us. We were only there to select suits for the father of the bride and groom. We had our selections already picked out while we were waiting. A gentleman who worked there came up to us and mentioned he would be with us shortly, after the groom explained what we were there for. Before the gentleman got to us, a woman who appeared to be the general manager came over and asked why we were there. We kindly explained and she grilled us aggressively, clearly irritated that we didn't have an appointment. She was in the process of helping another customer when she stopped to tell us for 20 minutes how it is absolutely impossible to help us and that selecting suits would take us 2 and a half hours....even after we told her we had our selections and were willing to come back for the fitting. She got super bitchy and wouldn't let us talk. She could have simply asked us to please schedule an appointment and come back. Instead she spent 20 minutes going over and over again how she can't help us (there was five other staff members in the store and we already had a gentleman say he was coming right there) and didn't want to. The customer she was helping I feel bad for as well because he stood there waiting even longer for her to give her disappointing speech. The gentleman who said he would help us came out after wrapping up with his previous customer. He saw the lady yapping at us and assumed we were being helped, so he asked her customer "are you being helped?!" And he shrugged his arms , pointed to the woman and said "...I guess". We left with a very upset bride whose trying to wrap up things she needs to get done for her wedding. She's super excited to get married and to be met by someone who had such strong distaste and lack of customer service doesn't make sense how it would take two and a half hours to make selections for 2 people...especially if it takes less time online. Do yourself a favor , forget coming here and check out VIP Formal Wear. It'll take ya 30-40 min to get registered and tuxes selected. While I found the store to be nice as well as the staff the end result of trusting them with 10% of the total wedding budget was a huge disappointment. 2 months prior to the wedding, all measurements were taken. 7 out of the 9 had size issues. Mostly pants but a few other items as well. On her wedding day the bride to be had to STRESS OUT about a groomsman getting the correct pants... and it was only 3.5 hours prior to the wedding that the correct pants were available for pickup. I would strongly recommend that you consider their ability to deliver in a timely manner. We cannot recommend the Cary NC Men's Warehouse for wedding tuxedo rentals. read more

He let me in the store saying he would be glad to help me. Then he proceeded to tell the people behind me to form a line and let in 4 other people that were in line behind me and proceeded to help them first. So I waited in a line outside patiently only to be let inside to be skipped over by people behind me by the salesperson that told me he would help me. I guess I must have smelled or he just didn't want to help me. Either way I just left without anyone inside saying so much as hello....went and bought a 1000 suit at Macy's instead. Made an appointment for a tux fitting, daughter getting married! Showed up for appointment a month prior to visit. Shop was busy and staff not prepared for my visit. Blamed not having a tux in their inventory on "IT" disconnect. Tried offering me a dinner jacket and pants instead?? Not sure the father of the bride can get off wearing that. Staff made no effort to apologize, only again blaming their lack of inventory on the disconnect with what their website appointment process depicted. Completely unacceptable customer service and will never use their services again. Was able to make an appointment at another local competitor over the phone in minutes with assurance I will get what I'm expecting for my fitting appointment. read more

The Manager, John, was unbelievably helpful. I flew in on a Friday to be a groomsman for a wedding that was three hours away on the next day. Unfortunately, the airline lost my baggage that contained my groomsman clothing. John went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed for the next day. He looked up stock in the surrounding stores, located the stores that had my size, and was nice enough to call to confirm and connect me with the manager of two locations that could help me out. John really went above and beyond fo me. If you are looking for fantastic customer service, I cannot recommend this Men's Wearhouse location enough! read more

Unfortunately I went back 3 times now and have had all but good experiences. Called about having a tailoring appointment only to be told they had an in house tailor and could do it right then, showing up 10 minutes later and the tailor won't be in for another hour. One gentleman gives off the demeanor of wanting to be anywhere but there and blatantly ignored me when I was trying to get a new suit for a wedding. I recently rented a tux for my son, when I initially made the reservation I received confirmation and they took my card information and pended the charge to our card. I was advised delivery would be 10/31 Which was the week of the wedding which was fine still some buffer days in case of emergency, I called 11/1 and spoke to customer service ( who was very nice that's why I gave 2 stars opposed to 1) , they informed me the order was never "pushed through" the system for the commitment of the rental? they reassured it was nothing on my end but instead theirs where the system had failed- I can understand to a certain extent but no notification about this. Then I receive a call saying this rental was not authorized and now I'm getting charged a late fee? Long story short I got the suit the day before the wedding measurements and hem were way off, such a headache.The rest of the wedding party has many issues on their end as well, not a great experience. read more

This Men's Wearhouse has the worst customer service ever. I came here for wedding planning, and the sample suits and shirts they have available here are filthy and smell like they have never been washed. I'm originally from California and shopped for my the suits and put my group number together while I was with my family and groomsmen in California. I took pictures of barcodes of ties and socks in California as the store told me I could order at my local store back in NC. When I went to this location, they told me they didn't have the ties and socks in stock. Since the store didn't have them in stock, I asked if they could be ordered and shipped to my house. I was informed that there were no more in stock in the wearhouse and that they couldn't be shipped. I was confused because the Men's Wearhouse in California told me that they were in stock and could be shipped. I was so disappointed and went to look for socks and ties at other places like Nordstrom's, Macy's, the Tiebar. Since my husband was still wedding suit shopping, I visited another Men's Wearhouse in the area (Brier Creek)in Raleigh and told them about my sock and ties being unavailable in the wearhouse. They told me that the socks and ties were actually in stock and eligible for purchase. Needless to say, customer service wise I was told the wrong thing and wasted a ton of time. read more

I went here about 3 months before my wedding. We set up a appointment to go over the tux rentals I need for my bridal party. I needed 6 tux. I went over everything I wanted, saw color swatches, and got my groom fitted. Even though I had a appointment I still had to wait but service that day was pretty good. The selections of tux are okay. I wanted to get my groomsmen in navy tux and my groom in gray. They don't carry navy tux for men. I went with gray tux, navy under vest, and a coral tie for my groom. The coral tie they offer is hideous. They didn't offer any solid color coral ties only ones with pattern almost black colored pattern. So I went to VIP formal wear to rent the tie for my groom. But I was okay with that because I knew what I was getting into. They require a deposit, non refundable and a contract to rent tux for your wedding. I went over all of that and thought I knew what to expect. But boy was I wrong! 20 days till my wedding after I put down a deposit and most of my bridal party have they call me and tell me my navy ties have changed style. They are no longer solid color and have a pattern on it. This was never explained to me when I went there and got my groom fitted and signed a contract. I called last week to check in and make sure the guys got fitted they didn't say one thing about it. The assistant manager called me today Marcus and I told him I don't want those ties. That is not what I agreed on. He apologized but didn't say I could get the same ties. He just kept going over who needed to be fitted still which I am well aware of. I asked to speak with someone higher up to see if I can get the ties I picked out and agreed on. Marcus told me he has to call around to locate the manager because he could be at a few different locations. I only need 3 navy ties, it shouldn't be a problem. I never agreed on a style change or even knew that could happen. But after making a fuss on the phone a few hours later they called back and said they could get the ties I wanted. Long story, short: My fiancé and I went to this MW location to buy a particular suit for he and his groomsmen. We left feeling disrespected, not listened to and empty-handed -- headed for another MW location. My fiancé and I went in with a few specific requests for a suit: (1) blue/brown, (2) economical (though we were planning to buy six of them), (3) purchasable (as opposed to rentable). We came in with a couple of suits in mind that we found online. A salesclerk immediately tried to assist us. We attempted to share what we were looking for, but, within about three minutes, he steered us away from suits that matched our criteria. He first had my fiancé try on a suit comparable to the one we saw online. He then had him try on another suit, which matched our criteria. We believe he could have sold us on this one, but instead, he decided to show us other options. He walked us over to another side of the store, pointed to a television with a basketball game on, and said to both of us, "This is why we call it the *Men's* Wearhouse." The suits he showed us rapidly escalated in price beyond what we had indicated. We couldn't get a word in edgewise. Finally, against our protests, he brought us to the rental section even though we made it clear that we intended to buy the suits. I again made clear our criteria, which flustered him. We left for the Crabtree location, which, despite its size, offered the friendly assistance we were looking for. TL;DR: Sleezy salesclerk didn't listen. read more

This is the 3rd MWH I have been to to figure out what my groom and the groom'smen will be wearing. This trip was to decided which store I wanted to rent from between MWH or Macy's Tux Rental, based on pricing and type of suit my finance and I liked. We ultimately went with MWH; putting a deposit and creating a group. At first a young gentlemen was helping us. Right off the bat, I told him we have already been to 2 other MWH stores so we have already gotten the discount/promo talk and wanted to get straight to the point. I made it clear that we were trying to decide between MWH and Macy's rental, and we wanted the breakdown of Jacket, vest, and pants for the groom, and jacket and pants for the groomsmen. A little into trying on the 2 suits we picked out (Vera Wang & Calvin Klein) the young man was pulled away (without warning or explanation) to help a Spanish speaking customer... I would have preferred to have finished my transaction with he, though the end result was ultimately achieved. We were able to setup a profile/group with the style and color of the suits we wanted for the groomsmen and my fiance has his measurements recorded. Our stylist was very helpful in giving recommendation for the groomsmen matching the bridesmaid. All-in-all a good experience. Hopefully the groomsmen have a good experience with their local MWH. read more

Update: I called and talked to a manager, who was very understanding and apologetic. Also, when we went to pick up the suit, the salesman apologized as well. I feel they 100% made it right and didn't try to pass the blame on, or make us feel bad, or ignore it. Given this information, we will definitely go back. Enjoyed our experience until we asked what one of the items cost. Because we indicated that we didn't intend to buy ALL the items they were throwing at us and had a budget, the salesman was extremely rude and loud and it felt like he was shaming us for not having an infinite amount of money to spend. I felt so humiliated and disrespected that I burst into tears in the car. Oh, and he neglected to tell us that the tailoring was $80!!!!!!!! So that was a nice surprise at the register. Once we pick up the suit we bought that will be our last visit. If not for the fact that my husband did look magnificent in the suit, we would have walked out. Product was 10000x better than service. Terrible experience. The one bright note is the greeter named Jake I believe was super nice and friendly and I wish he had helped us the whole time because he was awesome. read more

The employees here do not care about you or your wedding and it's apparent! I went to get my tux fitted for my wedding about two months ago (my wedding is in October) I went back a month later because I got an email notification that I still needed to be fitted, so I went back and got refitted. A month later I see the same message and go back in for a THIRD time and no sign of my measurements. I was told by the employee there was a glitch in the system and he did not have my measurements. I waited about 10 more mins for assistance and just decided to leave. I do not recommend this location for your wedding. They need a serious overhaul in Cary and figure their shit out because this store is a joke. I am hoping the Raleigh location is better...hopefully my fourth time is a charm. Shannon was completely inappropriate and was making inappropriate comments and touching my fiancé' inappropriately (touching not even when measuring). And she was absolutely horrible to me (the bride)--very demeaning, rude, harsh, and offensive. In addition to her terrible treatment of us (she liked my fiancé' too much and me not at all) , she swore a lot and ate while she was trying to "help" us. We've never had that terrible of an experience anywhere and we will never be returning.
