Desperate times - a dead coffee maker.......... Call for desperate measures - shopping at Kohl's......... The fact I dislike this store makes me an anomally. Some of my best friends and a good portion of the free world shop at Kohl's. What burns me up is shopping while looking over my shoulder! What am I looking for? The next sale, the "mother" of all sales to drop! And darn if it didn't happen on my last visit! I found a coffee maker "on sale" at a great price, arrived happily at the store, was ecstatic to see it on the shelf, and then went to pay. The cashier asked if I had any coupons and I said I didn't - because I didn't. Before my receipt finished printing, I was unhappy. Coupons! She said coupons!! And of course I raced home to find out what "deal" I missed. Turns out the deal was HUGE!! 20% off + $10.00... and could have been more if I signed up for emails and text alerts for sales. Hmm, let me think....NO! The 20% + $10 had no strings attached and with those I went back to the store. The five stars part?? INCREDIBLE customer service!! This is a nice Kohl's. They have a large variety of items in each department. I've made returns with no issue and all the employees have been helpful and kind. It's a little tight in the aisles and you should be prepared to possibly help other customers with a variety of tasks such as reading small print and getting things down from high places (if you're tall-ish) since on-the-floor Kohl's associates are sometimes hard to find. read more

OK, so there are some pros and cons to Kohl's, but if you know how to leverage the store and how it works, you can absolutely get fantastic deals there. This Kohl's is not particuliarly different from any other. The racks tend to get a bit sloppy, the service reps are a bit hard to find (especially in the shoe department), and the most popular sizes go quick. My wife has always struggled a bit to find good things there, but there are plenty of good clothes for kids, decent home goods, and the men's clothes are flat out unbeatable. Having said all that, here's what you need to do. First off, get the credit card. As soon as you do, the sale notices start to come much more frequently. Secondly, start watchign for the peel-off coupons... and wait for the coupon that is 30% off. Once you get one of those, check the dates on the flyer and make sure that a decent sale is actually goin on at that time. Lastly, make sure that not only do they have the kohl's cash available during this particular sale, but make sure that the Kohl's cash usable timeframe OVERLAPS with the sale and the 30% off couon that you got in the mail. All four of these components line up about 2-3 times a year. The timeframes that these are usually overlapping and is typically 10-14 days and start on a Friday. To take full advantage of this alignment of events, I strongly recommend that you go on the first or second day of the sale, especially if that is a Friday. go in on Friday evening (no one will be there) and you will get first dibs on the best clothes and the most popular sizes because they always stock up right before these sales. Also, don't hesitate to check the clearance racks, as it is common to find the last of a sportcoat or shirt that was a lead item a couple of months ago on the clearance rack because they only have 4 left of it. when you get close to finishing and loading up on everything you could possibly want for the year, pick a few things that are lower demand items or things that there are tons of that equal approximately 20% of the total purchase and put them back. You'll come back for these at the last few days of the sale (when you're allowed to use the Kohl's Cash) and buy those things you left behind. I know this seems a bit complicated, but we do this and usually go either every 12 to 18 months. We often spend between $500 and $800 as a family and the list price for the things we buy are commonly between $1500 and $2400. We often wind up paying between 30 and 35% of the list price for most items and one particular year we actually spent a total of 25% of the list prices across the whole purchase. This includes things such as $25 total for dress shoes, $12 for dress shirts, $25 for sport coats, $17 for kakhis, and so on. If you follow these tips, I am sure (especially if you are after men's clothes) you will be able to get some pretty phenomenal deals and flesh out a respectable wardrobe for a lot less than you thought possible. read more

I like kohls. They have great customer service. And an AWESOME return policy. You can bring anything back, anytime! AND a long as you have card (&/ or kohls card) you purchased item on, you don't even have to have your receipt!!! Also, they didn't bother me when I was in cosmetics grabbing all the lip samples for hours..yes I finally decided what I wanted. Additionally, if ever they have coupons out, which they most always do, let me tell you, they are CRAZY GOOD!! & they'll even let you scan in ones from online or have extras at the register. Also a major bonus are the KIND bars they keep at the register for all the starving shoppers out there--which I usually end up being one of them. I was at Kohls last week to pick up an online order and I was not impressed with the service. First off they only had one person working in the customer service dept and the line was crazy long, due to the holidays of course. Second they waited 30 mins before even calling anyone for help. I feel like during this time of year you should have enough staff to help customers. Once i finally got some assistance it was a breeze! I love Kohls and I love how great their sales are but they just need to better staff at all their stores. Not just at this location. read more

I just had a fantastic experience here. I usually shop this kohls, and like it, but the clearance sale they are having now is unreal. $6 for a tek hoodie!?!? Yay!!! The store was super clean and organized. The girl at the register was super sweet and friendly and efficient ( I forgot to check her name). Then, after I checked out, I realized that I forgot to use one of my coupons. She directed me back to customer service where Hamid helped me. He was able to credit the money I was supposed to save from the coupon back to my credit card easily and was so pleasant about it. I love this store :-) read more

This location is probably the least friendly I've encountered. I walked around the store 3 times looking for a certain department, and during that time, I could not catch the eye or attention of a single employee. I had to go to a register to ask a question and did not get a very friendly or helpful response. If I didn't have a gift card to spend, I wouldn't be returning to Kohl's at all. On black friday i had to work but got off in the afternoon and raced to 3 diff Kohls to get my sizes in these cool cashmere sweaters that were 100 bucks but marked down to 30.00....i was so happy, i think ALL the cashiers and dept people are real sweet at Kohls too, they are really nice on the phone and go get/hold a size for you then they even find another color to throw in for you...they take it a step beyond and the manager helps out too and they even told me to keep my 32.00 receipt when i get to the next Kohls so they can add it in and give me that 10.00 Kohl's cash since Im buying more and every 50 spent gives you a ten coupon...I LOVe the makeup line there called Flirty..lipstick colors nice, special white one called Angel and Cherub and the lip gloss has a thick brush so you can mix/spread your lipstick & gloss around prettily...so that reminds me, I need to get to Kohls this weeknd to get those other makeups I saw since the Kohl's cash does have an expiration date. The store is almost empty and yet you can't get anyone to wait on you. They look the other way when they think you might need help or else they say they are going on a break. How they continue to stay open is beyond me. They don't have any good deals like they did years ago and they have poor quality merchandise. Customer service is non-existent. read more

Placed an order to pick-up in store same day. I received the order confirmation email, then less than an hour later received another email stating my order was ready for pick-up and would be available until 1/20/19. Less than 5 minutes later o received a final call email stating my order needed to be picked up immediately. I drove down to the store (which is not the closest location, but they had the boots in stock). Upon arrival, they tell me my order had been cancelled because one of the boots was missing. I did not receive the email stating the order was cancelled until about an hour after I left the store. I tried placing another order for the same boots to be delivered to the store, however I used a gift card for partial payment of the first order and now cannot use that gift card again. I have to wait 15 days for a new credit to arrive by mail. I called the store and the manager on duty just told me it was out of his hands and then gave me the phone number to the online orders customer service. I called he number and it was not a phone number for Kohl's customer service!! Unbelievable, very disappointed and still no boots. I would not suggest shopping at this Kohl's in particular or any for that matter, customer service is severely lacking all around. read more

Very disappointed with my experience at this Kohls. This is my first review I have ever written because I usually let bad experiences go. But this kohls does not pay attention to their pricing AT All and then when an item (multiple) are in the wrong spot they do not honor the pricing the sign above the item reads. Went to this location with my mother and daughter, we took a cart from outside to carry the items we were returning. We got inside and switched carts to one that had a kids seat. My mom soon realized she left her wallet and keys in the other cart. There was one older lady that was a huge help, but the managers sucked! I basically had to tell them how to do their job in a situation like that. As in make an announcement there are keys missing in one of the carts, and to have employees help look for it. 40 min later after me pacing the store looking in every cart, and management not helping, I found them. But needless to say the service sucked and I will never go back to that location. read more

I've been shopping at this locations for years and generally look forward to purchasing new outfits from them. I recently went in twice this week for a sale they had and was not pleased with the service. Both times I have had to return to the store to get the security tags that were missed at checkout removed. Nearly half of my items had the tags and the door security didn't pick up on them at all. There have been occasions where one tag slipped through but those times I was aware of the mistake while at the location. It greatly saddens me that this keeps happening at a location I frequent so often and enjoy. I'm a little hesitant at returning so as to not make more in convent returns for the same issue. I hope the staff can minimize this mistake before the big Black Friday sales approach. read more
