I would not recommend going to this location. They have one check out area that is responsible for returns and customers buying items. It takes too long to check out when customers are returning items without receipts and they are under staffed. I've been to other locations with self checkout, which is faster and customer are much happy. Save your time and choose another location. read more

The older lady that does Amazon returns here must hate her life and job. Rude, snappy, and slow. She makes it an issue to almost reprimand you for showing her more than one barcode for her to scan the returns "because I have to process them individually first" according to her. The whole vibe with her is negative. Seriously if you dislike your job or people this much, just find a new job if you're going to come off as miserable. The attitude is the exact same every time I have to be helped by her. Today she magically popped behind the counter as SOON as it was my turn, after waiting in a long line. I found it a bit coincidental considering I dont care to be helped by her. I know its a return line but like yeah. The experience could be way better. It doesn't help that this store is also a ghost town, most likely because of their terrible selection on just about everything. Stopped by Kohl's in Federal Way to handle an Amazon return, and it's located inside the Commons Mall with a shared parking lot. Today, the Amazon return station was set up near the entrance, which made things a bit more convenient. Still, dragging heavier items through the mall isn't ideal and would be much better if this were a standalone location with easier direct access. The staff was efficient and didn't waste time, which I appreciated. The mall itself was moderately busy, so parking took a little hunting. Overall, it got the job done, but there's definitely room for improvement in terms of ease and layout. JY review read more

I have used Kohl's recently for two (2) Amazon returns! There is hardly ever a line at the customer service counter, both times the employee was very helpful and quick with my return to Amazon. Luckily I do not live too far away so location is good for me and parking is fairly easy just park in front of the store between Target and Lane Bryant area and always find parking which is through the doors and a few feet to the Kohl's entrance. Kohl's also give a receipt of the return and then on the receipt you receive a 25% off coupon for shopping at Kohl's. I looked but did not find anything that worked out for me. Overall pretty happy with the set-up between Kohl's and Amazon for returns. read more

I walked towards the registers hoping to pay for my items and leave, but there was nobody there. I could see one employee wearing a mask so I asked him if anyone was working the registers. He pointed and said "Yea, customer service," and motioned me towards a line at the customer service desk. He then returned to pretending to be busy. I watched him play with his phone as I waited in the customer service line to buy my items. Who knows, maybe it wasn't his fault, maybe the mask was cutting off too much oxygen from his brain. Another customer walked up behind me, also looking confused by the situation. The poor lady at the customer service desk gets to do everybody's job, I guess. Give her a raise and fire the useless ones. read more

This Kohl's location just opened up this week and the store looks great! Really clean, organized and well lit! The staff is super friendly and helpful too! The layout of the store is fairly nice as well! They have price check machines conveniently located throughout the perimeter of the store. They have a fairly decent makeup and perfume/cologne section to the right of the entrance; where you can try and smell the different products. While here today, I noticed they are still working on placing fixtures on the ceilings like track lighting. I think as far as prices go it's what you would expect. They already have some sale items on the racks, but nothing too significant that you would have to rush out for and think you'll miss. Some products I think have price tags poorly placed on the items. Like in housewares for the heavier items, you have to lift it up to find the price. Pro: Hallmark is closing in the mall and inside this Kohl's is a mini Hallmark section of cards near the toys section. Nice well lit, spacious fitting rooms. Con: They are still working out the logistics of where to put some of the electronic price tags. For example in the housewares section they have some of the new electronic price tags placed too low so if say your a tall person you would have a hard time seeing the price for some items. Some of the electronic price tags don't state the price at all. Overall it's a brand new store so it's no surprise they are still working out a few things before their official GRAND OPENING this weekend, March 7-8!! Went shopping for dresses here, fair selection. We've bought home decor and sheets here in the past. The dressing room smells awful though, like mildew or mold. Also, lots of dust bunnies, climps of hair and dirt on the ground. Definitely needs a deep clean. read more

I shop here when I have to but prefer the Tukwila location and this is just another reason why! I had a 30% off coupon and purchased many items in Tukwila but they didn't have a coat I wanted in my size so they sent me to the Federal Way location as they had it in stock. The associate tells me in FW, I already used the coupon can't use again. I explain the situation and I ask for the manager. The manager is busy, I say I'll wait. After 10 minutes I ask if she's available yet? The associate tells me, uh yeah she sed she can't do anything. I tell her well I'd like to speak with her and explain it and she says, she sed she can't do anything bout the coupon. Very unprofessional the manager can't come and deal with a situation! read more

The store was fine but the cashier Kara that helped us looked like she didn't want to be there and wasn't at all friendly. My husband mentioned the same thing when we left. This Kohl's is good, not great. This location opened Spring 2014, and still looks new. I would consider Kohl's the offspring if Macy's and T.J. Maxx had a child. I came in here specifically looking for cargo pants for hiking and camping up at Mt. Rainier National Park later this month. I found exactly what I was looking for, and at a steep discount: Clearance, $7.62 for Cargo Shorts. Score! I was expecting them to be $14.99. I could care less about the price, but these were sold quality clothes. The checkers were efficient, with all stands open. There's a reason why I'm not giving 5 Stars though. I love this store and needed a dress for a romantic getaway with my boyfriend. I wandered like a helpless duck looking in each department. No one once asked if I needed help. As I was leaving ($235 later) I noticed they had a "dress shop". I'll be returning most of my clothes today and go somewhere else. Dress was with identical other dresses with a sign that said 29.99. Rang up at 45.99. I literally took the associate to the dresses and she said yeah, they are in the wrong spot. Not just someone put just mine in the wrong spot, THE WHOLE ROW was marked 29.99. She just shrugged. Did not honor THIER mistake. Every other store I've been to would have, they did not.
