Just done with this place now. Went in to quickly select a pair of shoes for me daughter. We started to check out and the elderly woman proceeded to treat us like we had no sense or could manage to act like adults. She snapped at us for placing the box of shoes on the wrong side of the cash register saying she would end up charging us twice. That would be her mistake not mine. Then she fused about the coupon we gave her, telling us what we already knew. Honestly, we have just had it with poor customer service and being treated with no kindness or respect in all customer service fronts. People want the customer to act a certain way but won't show the same energy. Done with that at this point. Be kind or expect to lose sales and civility. So I've only been to this Kohl's to do my Amazon returns. So keep that in mind. The parking lot is huge and there are always spaces. The Amazon return stand is in the back of the store . Now I'm not saying you should return your Amazon shit to Kohls buttttttttt every time I do an Amazon return I get a $5 coupon. I then spend the next 20 minutes looking for an item for $5. It's almost become a game for me Every time I go to Kohls for a return I come back with a gift from Kohl's Anyways, I think the prices here are a lil pricey but I don't shop here unless the item is $5 or less. This Kohl's was just around our house and we came in here to return an item we bought online. We stood in line for a long time because they only had a couple registers open. Then come to find out, their return processing area was on the second floor. It was a bit annoying but once we got there the process was pretty easy and the lady that assisted us was very helpful. There was only one lady in front of us so it went quickly. The store seemed to be well stocked with holiday items but they had a bunch of items that were just thrown in the middle of the aisle that made it look kinda messy. It wasn't that bad though since we were able to come in and do what we need to do. read more

Do not go to Kohl's if you want to buy a men's suit. I visited the Leesburg Kohl's on March 21, 2023 with my college-age son to find a suit for him. It was an extremely frustrating, exhausting experience and we did not find a suit for him after shopping for almost 2 hours. 1. It was difficult to look through the suit jackets & pants because the racks were so tightly packed and not all of the hangers were labeled with a size. 2. There were a lot of poor quality suit jackets. They now have "Easy Wash" suits that you can machine wash at home, but the jackets looked crumpled. 3. There were too many different styles to choose from and not enough selection of each style/color combination. Each time we found a jacket, we could not find a pair of pants that matched. We ended up buying a jacket by itself--hoping I could find a matching pair of pants to order on the Kohl's app later. 4. There was no seating outside the unisex fitting room for people to wait. I sat on a bench in the shoe area to rest, but then I couldn't be right there to see what my son was trying on. 5. Be careful using the canvas shopping baskets on wheels. The bottom of ours must've been covered in dust & dirt because when we pulled the clothing out, one of the t-shirts had big areas of black dust/dirt on it. When my son tried on the suit jacket at home, we realized it didn't fit properly. I'll be returning the jacket and taking him to a different store. read more

I'm on a mini-mission to try to explain Customer Experience 101 to clueless businesses. It's not 100% about product and price, it's also about emotional rapport. I walked in there today and I still can't stand them, 7 years later, and I bought nothing (I went from a $500 a year customer buying for a family to going in maybe twice since 2015). I just saw their response from 2015: Despite my explanation, they still didn't see the difference between "Exchange for a different size" and "Return for cash." They just mindlessly droned out their Returns policy, as if I somehow wanted to keep the Kohls cash on returned goods, which was not the case. I simply needed a different size. They still made the sale. I will be happy to see this business ultimately fail and I didn't even say that about Sears, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc. read more

I spent $29 at this store for some dress pants for my grandmothers funeral. The lady checking me out offered me a "Kohls card". I then asked, is this a credit card? I don't want to sign up for a credit card. She said "it's not a credit card, its a kohls card/ like store rewards" It took awhile for the signup process, and when we got to the end, I tried to pay but she said I didnt have to pay. I was thinking maybe they'll invoice me? (I was in a hurry to make the funeral so I wasn't thinking straight) A year later I check my credit report and INDEED it was a credit card they said the balance got up to $292 and they reported it as a charge off, also known as ruining my credit for 7 years. Didn't receive a single bill. Please train your employees to be honest so they don't ruin peoples chance to buy a home for their family over $29 read more

I went to this store to dropped off an Amazon package for return and was met with a very rude customer service EVER. She (short hair in late teen) was moody even before I step up to the counter, I even say "Hi" but got no acknowledgement from her. I started to show her the barcode for the return and while she was scanning it, she was mumbling something to which I couldn't hear or make out what she had said so I said "I'm sorry I couldn't hear you" but she replied by saying "THAT'S IT!" and threw the receipt at me. I was dumb founded by her action and proceeded to the cashier and asked for a manager. The first woman (in her 40s or so) at the cashier say "may I help you" pretending as if she was the actual manager of the store. I started to explain what had happened and she immediately dismissed my explanation and said "we don't do that type of stuff here by throwing receipt at people", this has caught me by surprise as well and I told her she could check the camera recording if she like. The other cashier (an older lady, bless her heart) working the cashier in the same aisle over heard our conversation and step in and said that they need to page the "actual" store manager to which the first woman objected and say to "let it go" and "they had a truck to unload" or something to that affect but the older lady (bless her heart again) continues to paged the actual store manager right away and immediately started apologizing for what had happened and said "there was no place for this type of treatment especially to customer". I told the older lady she shouldn't be apologizing as it was not her fault. The actual store manager came right away and she too started apologizing for what had happened and I told her the same thing that apologies was not needed from her since it wasn't her doing but I just want the young girl to be spoken to and/or proper training if needed and if she doesn't like her job as a customer rep then she should quit. Thinking back now as I'm writing this review, the first woman working the cashier should be reprimanded along with the young girl and stop pretending to be somebody she's not (probably with good reason why she is NOT the manager). I will mention this poor customer service experience to my next door neighbor, who often shop at this Kohl location as it is near our neighborhood. My neighbor can make up her own mind. But as for me, I will take my business elsewhere as long as these two unprofessional people still working there. I'm sure there's a video recording if Kohl wants to verify the incident. Kohl's is one of my go to stores for presents and sometime clothing. If you have a Kohl's card they give you an additional 15% off there sale that are always going on. You have to look at the ad and try to go days that have 50% clothing and you can add the 15% off the end. The men's clothing on clearance you can find some good items. I found nice collared shirt for a Friday or Saturday night out for only $9.99!!! I urge you to check out the jewelry when it is on sale for 60% because you can get some amazing fun pieces for cheap. Don't tell anyone ;) but I have some diamond jewelry which looks like a million bucks but got it for $31 after coupons originally $150!!! I have also got cubic zirconia in sterling silver and I have gotten so many compliments and no one but myself knows that it's fake. read more

Kohls is certainly a step up from any other stores, but don't expect to get the same personalized service you might-get at JC Penny or Mercy's I don't like the bogus sales statics of their 15-30% discount for their Store card holder. I do have one. I use to spend lot of Money to get use of discount coupon they send without realizing they have kept the price very high when they send those discount coupon. It's a mid-range department store. I shop here for things for my goddaughter, since she grows so fast and changes her idea of fashion rather quickly. Great buys on just about everything. If you're shopping for kids, this is a must. Also, if you want to experiment with the latest fashion trends without committing to the look, this is a great way to try them out. You can also score some really great buys on things that you need for your home: towels, rugs, dishes, cookware. Once you're on their mailing list, they regularly send coupons for 10-30% discounts on your entire purchase - even off the sale price. The quality is not the greatest, hence the three-star rating. Today at kohls, I was in a rush and needed a little something last minute so I thought it'd be easy to go to kohls... I was wrong! I do understand that kohls tends to get busy around the holidays so I'm can't be too upset about it being busy.. the lines were extremely long and the workers were nice.. expect for one. I looked at the time and remembered I had somewhere to be!! Being impatient, I went on down to customer service to check out my TWO items, then I simply asked this impolite lady this exact question, "can I please check these out really quick.." she then said "no I'm sorry. I cannot do that for you". After that I was beyond frustrated so I got back in line. Then there were two women behind me in line and I overheard them saying "we can actually go check out in the customer service line really quick", the two women then went to the customer service and they were able to check out. I am beyond frustrated with this establishment and I will NOT be going again. As I was walking past the customer service desk to leave, I saw the impolite worker holding a very clearly injured and bruised woman at gunpoint. This is extremely unacceptable. read more

I have watched Kohl's in Leesburg go downhill the past several years with very poorly trained employees. I remember the previous manager was very efficient, high energy and trained her employees properly. There was always a friendly and helpful face who knew what they were doing and were confident in their job. On my most recent visit, I had a question in the women's athletic department. I waited about 10 minutes for help...which isn't that big of a deal, but the woman who appeared to "help" me was so insulting. She told me that I needed a bigger size than I requested because "I was not a teenager," and when I told her I was a medium, she further insulted me and would not stop...she was almost talking to herself and not me...kind of crazy. It was so over-the-top insulting that I went to the manager. The management was very polite and apologized for the episode, but kind of smiled when I told her who the employee was, as if to say...that's just her.. I will be bypassing this store for now on. read more

We shop at Kohl's all the time and we love it. We get email coupons for $5 off all the time and they mail us $10 off coupons often as well which helps save a ton of money. There is no minimum purchase you just simply must spend at least the amount of the coupon. So you can pay a penny for something that is $5.01 which is pretty cool. It's off the entire purchase too so you can bundle small items and pay nothing for them. They have awesome clearance which is great for Christmas shopping, you can find some really good stuff for up to 90% off if you look at the right time. They will load you up on gift boxes as well which is cool as most stores in the area have started charging for them or have ditched boxes entirely. The only downfall is the employees who are a little like vultures with the Kohl's card application thing. They get comission on every new account they open so they pretty much attack you to open a Kohl's charge account. Not a huge deal, just kind of annoying, you would assume if they see you 5 times a week they would know the answer by now but it's probably company policy that they must ask at least 3 times whenever they see you. Great place to shop though and they have everything under the sun and the prices are pretty good. read more

I went to Kohl's on my lunch break today. first of all the store is a mess. I was purchasing a few things for a wedding that were on clearance. 2 of the items had clearance stickers on them and the other 2 did not. They were all under a clearance display and they were all identical. When I got to the register they only 1 rang up clearance and the cashier would not give them to me at clearance price even though one had a clearance sticker and the other 2 were the same thing. She called the manager who agreed with the cashier that it didn't matter if they were marked clearance.REALLY! I refused to buy anything and left. The funny thing is the people who patiently should in line behind me met me in the parking lot and told me that the cashier and manager were ridiculous and they too were not going to shop there anymore. Where are all the employees? I have never been in a messier or more unorganized store. There was merchandise laying around everywhere and since my husband was trying to buy slacks it was like a scavenger hunt looking for his size. All brands and styles just dumped on any old shelf! We had been there the morning before and left because there was one checker for way too many in line. When we went back the next day, I noticed that the messes from the previous day were still there and had grown. Evidently no one cares and the manager should be embarrassed at the very least.
