A long time ago (when they first opened), my wife bought a gift card for a family Christmas Gift exchange. The family member went shopping and found the gift card wasn't activated. Yesterday I decided to take my only off day and go shopping. I had my son and his 2 friends with me. While we were in Kohls I noticed we were being followed by security. As I was looking at pet clothes for my puppy, my son asked if he could go in Sephora to see what cologne he wanted. I told him to go ahead and I was coming in a second. As I was leaving the pet clothes I saw a lady and a tall bald man watching me. As I kept walking up the aisles I saw and heard another lady request security to go to Sephora. He literally watched us the whole time we were there! I will never come back. I work way too hard and spent way too much money. This is literally the second time I have had an experience like this at this Kohls. To be stereotyped and profiled is crazy. I work almost 80 hours a week and deserve to be able to shop where I choose. But, I will never come back to Kohls!! read more

J'adore the online shopping experience. The store itself is just convoluted. No variety in sizes, small shoe selection, purses etc. I always order enough online to get free shipping and return anything I don't like or that doesn't fit. Return process is pretty painless. However, if you have the patience you can find some really great stuff here for some super cheap prices (you just have to be prepared to dig through the sale racks). Most recently I was able to find a super nice pair of dress pants for $8 and an extremely cute dress for under $20. read more

I LOVE Kohls. It's my favorite store in the whole universe. Some are better than others. I have been to better ones than this one. However, overall this store is good enough. I do find it always to be busy. I also don't like how messy it is. I will say that I absolutely love Mercedes. She is wonderful. I have done 2 returns with her and a purchase. She is very nice and friendly. She is very helpful and will make your transaction quick and efficient. I normally don't leave reviews but my experience at this store today was mind blowing. I've never experienced this type of rudeness in a store of any kind before. I was perusing for clothes and maybe had 8 pieces from all around the store. Went to find a dressing room just to find they are all closed. Went to ask for assistance and an older woman with shorter hair (maybe a few inches long) with glasses approached me. She said they were closed due to Covid (in a matter of fact sort of way) but I could buy it all and return what I didn't want. I have about $400 worth of clothing in my hands...no, I'm not buying it all and returning it. I'm a normal person who does not spend that much on clothing at once. She told me to "put the clothes back" and waved her hands a bit and turned around quickly to get back to her conversation with the other employees. I explained to her I had gotten these from all over the store and did not know exactly were everything went. This enraged her. She said something along the lines of "so you're telling me you are going to LEAVE these up here with me??" And scoffed at me several times. Normally their are people that put back the stuff that doesn't fit you in the dressing rooms back on the racks, right? Apparently I'm an a** for assuming this. I was a bit taken aback by the return policy for gifts without a gift receipt. If you don't have the receipt, you can only choose an item that was the EXACT price of the item you are returning. ie: I was given a hideous nightgown by my mother-in-law for Christmas that was $30 and had to find another item that was EXACTLY $30, otherwise, I was given store credit of $10. WTF? Also, I was a bit underwhelmed in their selection of bra sizes for my size, which is usually pretty easy to find. read more

I really like shopping at Kohl's because it's usually quiet and very relaxed, especially in the men's section. It definitely beats the hustle and bustle of the malls around town. They have a wide selection of clothes, too! Everything is on sale at some point and time, the trick is going when the items you want are on the sale. This can make a huge difference, because the prices can vary WIDELY from week to week. The weeks when they give Kohl's cash are really good, too. Usually you can get $10 for every $50 you spend, on top of whatever sales are going on at the time. read more

Kohl's..One of the best places to get great clothing at great prices. I have only been to a few locations but this location seems to have more of variety mens clothing compared to their other stores. I also like how they make it easy picking out what you need and not having to search for someone to get something. I had to get a new wallet on Tuesday and the cashier was friendly and asked if I wanted to save $10 by going to their site and scanning a code? Of course I did and was shocked as most companies do not proactively ask the customer if they want to save money. I will be coming back soon. read more

I've bought many things here and I would say about 75% of the time they're defective. Clothes get holes in them after bring worn twice, wedges fall off shoes, crystals fall out of the jewelry...etc. Needless to say, you get what you pay for and that's why everything's so cheap. read more

This particular location has inexperienced customer service representatives. When I made a general complaint to the manager, Sarah, she did not acknowledge my issue she simply stated that there may have been some miscommunication but our policies do not allow what I was requesting. Although I did suggest to her how I could get what I was requesting and she agreed that I could go about my transaction in the manner that I suggested. This store does not uphold the zero questions asked return policy or the attitude that the customer is a valued aspect in the retail environment. I have shopped at Kohl's locations throughout Alabama and the East coast. This location is one of the largest in the Huntsville area, often has the items I am looking for available and in stock. However I will not be back, I'd rather order online than to visit this establishment. I'm giving this two-stars because I love Kohls. read more

My wife and I often shop here. They have good quality clothes for reasonable prices, plus they run good promotions with percentage off offers sent by mail and "Kohl's cash" on certain dates as well (spend $50, get $10 in Kohl's cash to spend later). Their return policy is very lenient, so when I bought a gift for my wife that she ended up not liking as much as I thought she might, they took it back with no hassle. Normally there is at least some badgering, but their only question was "Is it damaged in any way?" and then they were handing us the new receipt with the refund. The only down side for the husband-in-tow is that they have no seating available in the store near dressing rooms. A friend of mine and I are considering one day starting a class action suit against stores like this, because we're forced to stand idly by in some random section of the women's department. So, get some chairs (preferably soft and plush, but I'd settle for a wooden bench or a metal folding chair) and I'll bump this up to a five star store. read more

I will not return to the Kohl's in Madison Alabama. The store was unorganized and a mess. It was a busy day but there were no sales people in site except at check out and the salesman at checkout was unhelpful. The restrooms were hidden in the back and disgusting. From the broken toilet paper holder to the faucets and towels dispensers that you had to touch with your hand to operate ( aren't we more advanced in germ prevention). This store was much bigger than my Decatur store but I found none of the normal finds I do in my smaller store. Bigger is not always better. read more

I have recently moved to Alabama from Minnesota. Kohls has always been my go to store for my children and me. The clothing is always in style and the deals are fantastic! The only Kohls I've been to in Alabama is the Madison location. I have been to the store during first opening in the morning, mid day and evening and it's ALWAYS A MESS!! I was very disappointed when placing an order online. These were christmas gifts for my stepdaughter. I ordered four items of clothing it said all four were in stock and gave me a day it would arrive. I get an email a week and a half later stating only two of the items are in stock. I just had a meltdown in khols lol. Not a single pair of jeans in khols was anywhere near where it was supposed to be in the entire store. I literally looked at every pair and none of them matched. It was completely random. I just like chewed out the manager. I was like look they're all folded. You guys intentionally put them all over the place. I just want to buy pants. Get ur sh*t together and I'll be back tomorrow. My gf said it was hilarious. She wished we caught it on video. I was like have you ever looked at these ever??? Look the sizes are no where near the signs and nowhere to be found. This whole section says lee relaxed boot cut but these are slim fit and classic fit... They're not even clustered... completely random! It's not like they were just mislabeled. You know how much energy it would have taken to randomize all of the jeans in the entire store? I'm confused physically how this could have happened. It's not like it was just 1 section, it was all the jeans. They were like taking the racks down. I had to leave. Lol. A cash register blinked out during my transaction. I was left to stand alone at the cash register for over 15 minutes. The cashier left and started operating another cash register. Finally, another associate came and re-booted the register. I was told that my transaction did not process and that my purchases would need to be re-rung. The short version of this saga is that I was double-charged on my debit card for the $79. Now, NINE DAYS later, after three visits to the store and multiple calls to the customer service associate, I still have not received a refund for the $79 double-charge. Totally dissatisfied and disappointed with the unprofessional manner in which this has been handled. Plus, I am still out $79.00! UPDATE! Now at TWELVE DAYS, plus another trip to the store, and still no refund. UPDATE AS OF 3/20/17. STILL no refund, and no effort from local store or home office to compensate me for my inconvenience. SEVENTEEN DAYS and counting! The way Kohl's has handled this matter is completely inexcusable. UPDATE AS OF 3/29/2017: Still no refund at TWENTY SIX DAYS. Documentation has been submitted multiple times to corporate offices. Every individual that communicates with me offers a different excuse or explanation, but my bank account is still "out" $79.11. read more
