I interacted with 2 workers while here. Both appeared that they didn't want to be there but their parents insisted they get a job (or something like that). When I first walked in, I couldn't see the signs for self pick up, so I asked a lady who was tidying nearby. She looked at me with a "why the f*** are you asking me a question" look, then just pointed behind her. When I got to the counter, I asked the person behind if I just needed to push this button on the link I was sent. He looked at me like I was slow in the head and scoffed "yeah" like I was already supposed to know. All I did was pick up an order that I had placed online, but I'm gonna bypass this location next time I want something from Kohl's. This location has reorganized, and is one of the cleanest of the Kohls stores that I shop at. The clearance area isn't overstuffed into one lication, and all clothes are well organized. I usually find what I am looking for since they carry most named brands. Located on the outskirts, there is plenty of parking but easy access to the I-10 freeway. Checkout is very quick, abd prices are reasonable, especially clearance items. read more

We went in to return an Amazon item. The return line was not that bad when we arrived but after several minutes it grew. The two cashiers were a bit overwhelmed. We were the next in line when this man who is an employee walks by the line and tells us that kohls customers get to go first and that the Amazon returns were a curtesy. He asked who was purchasing something and the lady behind me said she was. Since I'm just a curtesy I let her go before me. When we got up to the register the friendly cashier apologized for the long wait. She mentioned that she hopes we come back. I told her we wouldn't be returning because of that rude employee. I was going to Kohl's often to shop , also to return Amazon items and customer service was good, but they made some changes ! The Amazon returns was at the back of the store before, I walked all the way to the store to find a sign that said Amazon Returns now at the front Register. Back to the front I went and there was 2 lines, one for the Amazon Returns and the other one for Kohl's customers, 3 registers open, they was calling the Kohl's customers line , so people that came after me was called, so I asked there is no one for Amazon returns register ? They said we serve the Kohl's customers first! I was Kohl's customer too ,that is No a good customer service at all, and no respect for people that are in line waiting and being ignored because we are in the Amazon returns line there's no courtesy at all. Whenever i tell them i dont want to give my info, they snicker, talk about how theyll get dinged by management, etc. its ok to ask. But take my "no" and ring me up. I usually do Amazon returns here- Palm Desert Kohl's - but no more. Today was the first time I went there in a few weeks. Used to be able to return to a separate Amazon line in the back. However, that is changed. Now, all Amazon returns go to the registers up front. Amazon returns get right in the register line with the regular Kohl's customers buying or returning. Who's the genius that thought slowing both Kohl's customers and Amazon customers was a good idea? A man behind the registers seemed to take exception to this and said that they take Amazon returns as a courtesy. So I guess we should be grateful that now we can wait in a longer line than before. I ordered sandals that were sitting on the shelf at the store I selected. Five days went by and no email to pickup. I look online and the sandals are available at my selected store. I go in pickup the sandals off the shelf, take it to cashier and she tells me I cannot buy them because my sandals are being shipped in and should arrive in two days. Though I shop for lingerie here routinely (Kohl's has a great selection), they are invariably out of my size or any size close to it. If you shop there, prepare for some heavy hunting and for coming up empty handed. Also, if you buy online and pay via PayPal,receiving no Kohl's receipt via email, you will have to call the customer service number to get your actual Kohl's order ID. Switching cities way out to the Inland Empire, Palm Desert, CA. I last drove here prolly was about a few months ago! I used to make day trips here to Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar, Downtown Palm Springs as well, but I stopped doing that due to gas prices. I just have been sticking to their Newport Beach location for now. This Kohl's location used to be my restroom breaks, and I would still browse around from their Clearance section. A few times, I uncovered there were actually some Ring Neck Doves, cousins to Mourning Doves in the parking lot here! (I'll have to dig through my camera roll to post those pics again.). Went to Kohl's to return an Amazon order at 4:45 today. I had to wait for one woman in front of me to exchange several shirts. This young gentleman, Colton, was patient and kind during this transaction. He handled everything quickly and efficiently. My return was super quick (seconds). I told him that if I'd had a kid, I'd want him to be just like him. Thanks, Colton. And Kohl's, understand you've got a great human here bringing back the "SERVICE" in customer service. Wow so surprised at all the negative reviews! I actually really liked this Kohl's -next to Redlands & Torrance locations. (All other Kohl's aren't as nice or stocked) This one had a lot more merchandise and it was by far the most organized one I've seen. I used to really like this store. It's been harder and harder to find clothing my family likes in the last few years. Now there is a giant, tacky Sephora make up store in the middle of the store. The jewelry and accessories appear to be gone and everything is displaced and moved all over the store to fit the monstrosity. Now there is hardly any mens dress clothing, especially for the mature aged adult. They used to have the best selection of mens wear and so much cute stuff in the juniors and womens sections. There have been fewer and fewer shoes on display which seemed to start before supply chain issue. Extremely disappointing. I hope all the locations aren't doing this. read more

I used $15 kohl's cash for an online purchase. I needed to return as it did not fit. They do NOT refund or credit your rewards account for the full value of your Kohl's cash. Went in to the Monterey store in Palm Desert. Could not find one salesperson on the floor. I searched for dress slacks and dress shoes and found only 3 pair of dress shoes on display and could not find any dress slacks at all. I went to the cashier to ask if they had any salespeople available and she called for one. I waited and waited, but no one ever came. I can usually find a nice skirt, shirt or pair of trousers for work at Kohl's. Not at the Palm Desert Kohl's, unfortunately. I left very disappointed. There was no work attire in the 'Juniors' section. Sure, they had business casual items in the women's section... but I am 26 not 46. All of the juniors section was shorts, tank tops and jeans. The shoe section left a bit to be desired. It seems they were running low on a lot of the sizes. In the three shoes I picked up, anything from an 8 - 9 was gone. :-/ Hope they get new inventory soon! If you're coming for anything else other than juniors business casual wear or a variety of shoe sizes, this store might work for you. read more

The staffers working here are always helpful, pleasant, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable :-) The store itself is well organized and heat. 3 stars may be a little generous, but I'm feeling generous today. While unpacking from a move, we couldn't seem to find the box that had warm-weather clothing for a nice dinner out. So we headed to nearby Kohl's for a bargain. I found a nice dress at a good price, and the bf got something that suited his needs, but we were both disappointed in the selection. Not sure if it is just this location, as it's been a while since I've shopped any Kohl's. It appears that instead of stocking discounted designer items like Ross or Marshall's, Kohl's has mostly a few lines of clothing made specifically for their stores. For example, you won't find discounted the same Vera Wang you'd see elsewhere; you'll find items from Vera Wang made just for Kohl's. That might make it more consistent, but there's less variety. I'd rather shop Ross and take my chances on finding something unique. read more

Not sure about the bad reviews but I liked this Kohls. I mean it's only Kohls not Nordstrom. My friend and I came here after shopping at Walmart to look for some more stuff for his family. They had really GOOD deals on their clothing and their clearance stuff for kids was great. We got adult shirts as low as $4.99 and toddler shirts as low as $2.60! We were checked out in a timely manner and I was pleased with my experience here. The next time I'm in the area I plan to come here to do some shopping for myself! read more

KOHLS.COM Is my problem. Order cancelation policy is ridiculous. 10/11 placed an order 2 minutes later realized the address was wrong called kohls.com to cancel. 10/13 I called kohls.com to make sure it canceled. It wasn't and I was told as soon as it was delivered I could get a refund to my Kohls card. 10/20 called to get a refund because my product was delivered to a house I hadn't lived at for 4 years and I was literally told....its your fault you placed the order with the wrong address not our fault NO REFUND! After I was told on 10/13 I would receive a refund. I'm paying for product I didn't receive. I will never shop Kohls again and closing my Kohls account. April 2021, Kohls will still not allow anyone to try on clothes in their dressing rooms. You ahve to buy clothes, take them home to try them on. It doesn't matter how many times you need to return your clothes for the propper size. Kohls really DOES NOT care about the customer. All of the other department stores have their dressing rooms open. There is no scientific proof you can catch Covid from trying on clothes. Once again Kohls is being cheap. They are doing the minimum to get through this pandemic, even with vaccines available to everyone. Take your business to a department store that really does care about the customers. Kohls is a pretty pricey store if your don't ttake advantage of the coupons they send in snail mail and on line. I recently moved and wanted to buy myself a Kitchen aid stand mixer. I had a 20% off coupon. Ordered the mixer on line, as well as a bowl scraper. I earned $50 in Kohls cash. With the cash I bought two sauce pans that I've been looking for. As it was Wedsnesday, I got an additional 15% off for seniors day. I'm happy with my purchase, and happy with the associates I encountered. I've never had a problem with any of the associates in this store. They've all been helpful, and smiling as well. Maybe the problem lies with the people who come in to shop? Maybe I understand more because I worked retail for a number of years? I tend to think so on both my questions. read more

Stopped at kohl's wanted to pick up shoes and clothing for out daughter. We interacted with 5 employees and they all had about the worst attitude we ha e ever experience at a retail store. The young girl in charge of kids shoes told us the store no longer had the shoes we were looking for. She has a really bad attitude and was not willing to help us look for other shoes. Then while on way out there was a display with a large section with the shoes we were looking for. Two employees at the register gave us a really hard time when trying to use a valid coupon. They didn't even wanted to scan the valid coupon as they stated they didn't know about the coupon we had in hand and had received from the Kohl's website to use online or in store. We tried to ask for help from Two other employees that were showing pictures to each other on their phones and said they didn't work on the children department and could not answer any question. We were extremely disappointed that Kohl's at this location seem to have a large number of unhappy employees who are not willing to help customers make purchases at the store. This store is the WORST in customer service! Bad bad bad. I am a card holder, I opened my account when the store first opened. For the past 2 years or so I have been extremely frustrated shopping here. The employees are nowhere to be found. They don't greet their customers, and if you find yourself in a situation where you need a price or a size on merchandise, you are on your own. I went yesterday, to buy new pillows. They have a sale, buy one, get the second half off. Great right? If you knew what the full price on one was. No price listing and NO associates to be found, as usual. As always this Kohl's is well lit and safely located along a busy thoroughfare. I shopped at night when I had the parking lot and store nearly to myself. I needed to return a large number of pieces, and the customer service cashier processed these quickly and efficiently. Selection was minimal, but since weather is supposed to be warm here year round (it's raining and storming and therefore isn't warm right now), this store has fantastic Candie's flip flops on sale. They are still $15 per pair, but the pair I bought is like walking on a cloud. The front of store cashier has some good and bad points where her customer service is concerned. Her good point was giving me the maximum 30% discount for using my Kohl's card. Her bad point was insisting upon seeing my ID for a small purchase on my Kohl's card. She proudly announced that this is standard practice for her because some Kohl's cards have been stolen, although I patiently explained that showing ID is one of the main ways IDs are stolen. She shrugged, and checked mine very carefully, and that of everyone else using their Kohl's card. I am going to complain to corporate.
