I like coming to this Kohl's, even though there is one only a few miles from my house! First, they have a much larger petites section and there women's clothing section is just more extensive and organized than other stores. The staff is very friendly and chipper ( I've worked in retail, it's not always this way!). Got home only to find a security tag on the item that was purchased. Wasted more time and gas to drive back, wait in a long line, and have the tag removed. Btw, the security tag did not set off any alarms on the way out of the store when I purchased it, and did not set it off on the way back in to have the tag removed. read more

I frequent Kohl's because of their great sales, especially the 30% discount and $10 bonus bucks. It's a clean store and the clerks are often friendly and efficient. I came in to shop for a dress for my daughter's Valentine's Day dance. Not only did she score a beautiful dress that she can wear for multiple occasions, but she also found a t-shirt on clearance that had Hogwarts Academy on it. She is a fairly serious Potterhead. We came in on limited time, and easily found what we were looking for, had an easy time at checkout, and walked out as happy customers. Yes, I did get my bonus bucks, so I will be back! :) read more

My wife and I found ourselves here on Black Friday, the sales and the coupons lured us in. I was amazed that they allowed us to get the sale price and then use 2 coupons on top of that!! Crazy! The line to get to the check out was short, but we did go around 10 am. The staff we interacted with were friendly and very helpful. The cashier was very nice, he is the one that helped us with the coupons, way cool! We went in for some specific stuff for the wife so we didn't get to see much more than the front of the store on this visit. I have visited a few other times in the past and the experience has always been positive. If you need affordable work clothes, or just something to lounge around the house in, this is a good alternative to those that like to shop the big W store. It seems they offer better quality merchandise for not much more money making it a good value. Don't forget your coupons for extra value and shop on!! read more

Came into the store in search of a black polo. I asked a woman who was walking around if she could point me on the direction of where they'd be. She huffed, rolled her eyes, and got so irritated that I would ask that. Her response "ugh they're everywhere you just have to look". And with that response she just turned around and walked away. After that, I couldn't shop there. I walked to the front nicely let another manager know and left. No apology or anything either. The reason for two stars is because the store is clean, organized, plenty of parking, and easy access from the street. I really thought I was going to have a wonderful experience especially after I was greeted so wonderfully by the young girl up front. I will not be back to shop there anytime soon. read more

I love Kohls because I'm a picky person when it comes to clothes and I can always depend on them to have something that I like in my size. They have good deals and the prices are fair & affordable! The quality on most clothing items is excellent. They have nice costume jewelry and they're always sending me a $10 gift card in the mail! The cashiers are friendly with smiling faces. The only thing needed to improve this place in my opinion is the housewares department. Some of the bathroom sets, bedroom sets are bland and lack variety in color and detail. For example; Embroidered towels with tassels etc. The Kohls in Wisconsin always had luxury type housewares comparable to Macy's or Boston Store so I was kind of expecting the same thing here. Worst Kohl's ever. Stood in a line with 6 customers while no new checkers were called. I called the manager and she refused to add more. Two checkers who were working at the counter were pulled to restock. They don't give a flying fuck about customers. Recommend no one ever walks in the door at Kohl's south in Reno again. read more

I have shopped at Kohl's for a long time. They always have a large selection of items from clothing to houseware. I have always loved using the Kohl's cash and coupons and feel like I find really good deals shopping there. Not long ago I shopped there and presented my Kohl's cash at checkout and it was one day past the expiration date and the cashier wouldn't take it. I was not happy because they always did before and was told they changed their policy. Last week I went into the store and had a great shopping experience and the cashier was very personable and helpful. After she rang me up and applied my 20% off I told her I had rewards that expired (not Kohl's cash) and they expired three weeks ago. She said she would ask a manager if she could still apply it. I told her that would be awesome because I knew they didn't accept Kohl's cash past the expiration. She said that they do but it has to be within a week. Good to know!! She called a manager and asked and was able to get approval and accepted my $30 rewards!!! Thanks for taking the time and making a happy customer!! Kohl's in general has excellent value for clothes, shoes, and home goods. Using coupons saves even more money, so look for promo codes online before coming into the store. Kohl's has a very liberal return policy, which makes the process easy and hassle-free if you ever want to return something (either purchased online or in-store.) My only beef is a select few members of management - by and large most employees are polite, professional, friendly, and very helpful. However, last Wednesday night, the manager (Marcia) locked the store almost 15 minutes early, then denied it, which was incredibly annoying. Whatevs. Also, if you don't have a Kohl's credit card, or a rewards card, prepare yourself to be inundated with invitations to apply for the card. Annoying? Yes. But still be kind to the cashiers, as management puts pressure on them to reach a certain credit card quota every night. I've heard groups of employees/managers talking about credit card goals - right in front of me at the checkout stand. If you can put up with a few awkward moments at checkout, it is worth the money you save! read more

I have been in the store twice, looking for trousers. The bins are never sized properly, and the men's department generally appears junky and over crowded. There is never anyone available to help, either. Maybe they should hire additional sales people, and train them on how to clean up. read more

I agree with most if the reviews on here, and it comes down to this: if I am looking to buy something for less than $50 or so, I would prefer to use kohls.com, because I don't have to WADE THROUGH the freakin mess that is this store, and I won't miss out on the "Kohls Cash"! I am a Kohls-baby from the midwest, and I am used to both grocery stores and department stores that are neat as a pin. As a closet obsessive-compulsive, I have waking fantasies about straightening this store out after closing time - meanwhile I have been told TWICE in the past year by little boys who are working the cash register while I am buying frilly things at the register "how BORED they are!!!" PLEASE!! I BEG YOU!!! Send someone (maybe the bored little boys?) to the women's lingerie section - as well as the women's professional clothing section to arrange the clothing by size and style!!! And get the clothes off the floor!! Maybe save some duplicates in backstock for later so the clutter doesn't choke us out and overwhelm us. I am surprised no "higher ups" ever come to this store and insisted on organization! Of course I will be back. The people really are nice, and I appreciate the great deals - but come on - you could do so much better business-wise if someone could walk in and find the clothing or lingerie of their choice in their size in less than 30 minutes! read more

I checked out at 10:58 AM. I spent $271.60. I was treated poorly by the cashier when the Gold Toe socks did not ring up properly I advised the cashier that the sign in men's socks listed them as buy 1 get 1 half off and she insisted that was not correct. My husband had to physically go back to the department to prove that was an accurate price and we were made to feel like criminals. She said the Gold Toe socks were always excluded from sales. She begrudgingly adjusted the price. Also, she did not want to combine additional discounts from the coupons we presented at the end of the transaction even though the coupons scanned and were accepted in the system she said we could not have the discount. I asked for a manager and they sent up a young blonde heavily tattooed female who was obviously not a manager and I said please get a real manager so a young man who was obviously not a manager came up to reiterate what the cashier said and at that point I gave up hoping to talk to a real manager and completed the transaction. Funny thing, I was not offered a Kohls survey during this transaction. Not sure if I wish to shop at Kohls anymore which means I probably should close my account. This is poor customer service to say the least. read more
