Your girl forgot about this magical place. To all my Harry Potter fans, I feel like this store is like the room of requirement. You walk in and what you need you will find in some area of the store. I was here over the weekend and popped in after getting my nails done next-door. I went in with one goal, and one goal only . Get an ugly sweater for our upcoming party. Not only did they have a plethora of sweaters, they came to play with a whole bunch of assorted holiday apparel. And was it expensive? No, not at all. There was a sale on the holiday apparel, as well as an extra 25% off if your rewards member. Pro tip: you do not have to be a credit card holder to be a rewards member. Now all you have to do is put your phone number in after you quickly register for free and you get the perks. Gone on the days when we used to have a store credit card for these things. Also, I felt like such an old lady at the checkout. Now, this location has self service checkout kiosks. And even though I thought I was smart enough to use one I kept on beeping because the security tag was still on my ugly sweater. Staff came over to help and they did not make me feel dumb about it at all. They also explained to me how to properly use the kiosk as I was completely doing it wrong. And for the holiday season, it wasn't too packed. The stores kept nice. There was so much stuff that I really kinda wanted to go back and shop for myself . Have you seen the new transformation of Kohl's joining forces with Sephora. My daughter is finally in heaven hanging out trying the numerous samples while I do my old lady thing looking for bed sheets, towels, shower curtains and shoes. If you don't already know they have a drop off here for your Amazon returns, you don't even have to put it back in the original package they will take pretty much anything and they even give you a coupon to shop with when you do a return. The Lake Ronkonkoma Kohl's. After spending a week in Long Island, New York with my family, I left with more than new experiences. I also left with a larger wardrobe. On Monday, March 29 my dad drove my brother and I to the Lake Ronkonkoma Kohl's. A nice thing about Kohl's before even walking in the door is that you get a close experience to a mall department store without the headaches and prices. This is an easy shopping center to park at. That is not by design. Recently the King Kullen went out of business which opened up a lot more spaces. We parked by Wendy's which I remember being a Roy Rogers that I ate in as a child. Once inside Kohl's a nice aspect of it is the attractive presentation of clothing, jewelry, apparel, housewares, bedding, and even Lego. I see Kohl's as an upscale version of Marshall's and T. J. Maxx. It was interesting to read that some Yelpers were comparing it to the upscale discount department store Target. Ironically in the 1980s and into the early 1990s this Kohl's and the ones in East Setauket/Port Jefferson Station and Rocky Point were formerly Caldor Department Stores. They were an upscale discount department store. With the upscale presentation of clothing and hardly anything out of order it was a pleasure to shop here. I'd end up with two pairs of jeans, boxer shorts, shirts, and the New Balance sneakers that I like. The Kohl's discounts were kind to the wallet. The Kohl's credit card gave 35 percent off. During my visit there was a promotion that for every $50 spent on certain items, Kohl's reciprocated with $10 in Kohl's bucks. Exchanging over $250 for clothes resulted in $50 Kohl's to use between April 12 and 25. I left the Lake Ronkonkoma Kohl's satisfied and with a larger wardrobe. I am glad that there are two Kohl's near my place nearly across the continent from the Lake Ronkonkoma Kohl's. read more

What's unfortunate is that a few years ago Kohls was the place to go for good deals on clothing. Now, it just seems like they inflate all the prices to then knock the prices down and you end up not with the greatest deals. I wouldnt attempt to shop here without multiple coupons and kohls cash... and I'd only go when they are having sales (which admittedly is often). Also, pay attention at the register and be sure your items scan at the right prices and you get all the discounts you expect. As for this location, it's nice enough. It usually fairly clean but a bit understaffed. All the cashiers I've ever dealt with were pleasant. Location is convenient, parking lot is substantial. I really just wish it was like it used to be... you'd get to the register and be pleasantly surprised how cheap everything was. Now, not so much. Update: it's even worse now. Whoever the brunette lady w/ the glasses is at the check out register needs a new job. Literally giving me an attitude cause I wanted to exchange clothes for my daughter. "You can't return these again" Huffing and puffing like it's so hard to exchange clothes when I worked in retail and it literally takes 2 seconds to do so. Had an attitude from the start before I even said anything to her. Seemed like it was a racist thing cause she was eyeing me down from the start. Was literally just walking out of the fitting room, and the fitting room attendant started raging at me. She said I was in the wrong fitting room (?) - if I wanted to try anything on, I needed to go to a different fitting room. Meanwhile, I was done trying on just ONE item anyway, and that was clear, since I was *walking out of the fitting room*. Therefore, not sure why she felt the need to even say anything to me. She was talking to another customer, and interrupted her conversation, just to pointlessly embarrass me in front of other customers. Lol. The deals aren't great and the store is kinda filthy - location needs a renovation for sure. This was my first time shopping here in years - and last time shopping at Kohl's as well. read more

I really, really dislike this Kohl's location. It's the closest one to me and I'll still avoid going there if I can. The line is always HUGE. They have less cashiers than some of the other locations in the area. I went in on the last day of my Kohl's cash once and turned around and walked right out when I saw the line. I went here recently since I needed something last minute for a wedding and wouldn't have time to get to another location. Of course the one time I go and the cashier was so rude! Not pleasant at all, then when I asked about a coupon I said, "I have a $5 off $25, but the item has to be $25 before tax, right?" The new manager Angelica went above and beyond to search the packed boxes loaded into the truck and was able to return my money to me. Clothing / department store I am a fan of Kohl's and love that I can pop into one any where I go and find something I need if on a trip. Oddly enough, I used to live in NY and found myself back in the are area and needing some items the day before Christmas. Kohl's has tons of reasonably priced name brand clothing and items for the house. Because it was the holiday, they had exceptional prices as well. The best thing of course, is if you use the Kohl's charge card, you always get coupons in the mail, but since I was far from home, the girl who rang me out gave me a scratch off coupon to use right then and there. To me Kohl's is the upscale version of Target or KMart. Kind of like going to Shake Shack over McDonald's, or Ruth's Chris over Tad's Steaks. Better selection of clothes and housewares than the other cheapie department stores. Fair prices and many good sales. Clothes, shoes, jewelry, home goods, bedding, and more can be found here. Clean and organized store with a nice layout. When visiting family in the dreaded suburbs I will sometimes drop in to do some shopping. Great place to shop for inexpensive gifts for friends and family while not looking like a cheapskate. Lines can get a bit long and slow here especially during holidays, but that is to be expected. Just take a deep breath and ride it out. Parking lot can get crazy crowded too here on the weekends. Always be sure to get a Kohl's card for some decent discounts like percentages off and extra 'Kohl's cash' back to you when you shop at certain times. I went here on Christmas Eve, which is on a Saturday. Much like the rest of the people in the store, I was picking up last minute gifts that slipped my mind. The check out line wrapped around the entire store and almost made it back to the cash registers. There were about 100 people in front of me and I have to say I was only on line for about 10-12 mins. The line moved fast and seemed to constantly move. This store seemed to have perfected the Christmas rush, which other store should emulate. Great job to the managers and employees working. After my obvious negative Yelp review of the incident, within one day Kohl's posted a response to my own, asking us to reach out to them. I did so quickly and surprise, surprise, over one month later, still no contact back. I'm willing to bet they wanted to post a response on the Yelp for window dressing, like they were going to address the issue so anyone seeing MY review would be lead to believe that they cared. I really am surprised by the low rating of this Kohls! I LOVE this store!! This is by far my favorite Kohls location. The store is always stocked up and with amazing deals. Specifically for men's clothing this store has such an awesome clearance section. With that their primrose jewelry is also stunning and always going on sale. With Kohl's you look like you are wearing expensive clothing/jewelry/shoes ect but really it's all a bargain. For sports wear, signs, or anything with sports logo on it here they have a huge selection. Buying fan sports supplies anywhere else like online can be so expensive. Here they have such reasonable prices and sales going on constantly. This store is clean, staffed well, and stocked up. I really love this store and enjoy coming here. The workers are always so helpful and sweet! I really have never had a bad experience. Returns are easy too! Here are some of the things I have found great deals on, women's/juniors soffee shorts, men's dress shirts, jewelry (rings specifically), wall decor (picture frames and signs) and more! I think this store might have the nicest and friendliest cashiers ever. Every time I come in they are so nice and even try to get to know you within the couple of minutes they're helping you. They always find some sort of a coupon to help you out. Kohl's prices in general aren't the best, but the variety of products at the store make it a great one stop shop. read more

Tell me why on earth the line is almost to the back of the store when you have 5 associates working the check out? You would think this is Black Friday. Either re train your workers to move the line or schedule more workers. Bought a cheap watch in Kohl's a few years ago at the Peoria, AZ store. Never had any problems. Once a year, bring it in for new battery. On a trip to Long Island, NY, I made the mistake of going to the dump of a store in Ronkonkoma. Waited at watch counter with my receipt from my battery I bought in April of 2016, as it stoped working on a trip here. She wouldn't even look at watch. Said they don't change batteries! Even after I told her it has been changed in AZ store for years! Wouldn't look to see what battery it was, I had to. She then gets said new battery and wants to charge me again for it after I've been told it's guaranteed by AZ store!!!! Say what??? It's 5 months old????? Kohl's you're such a rip off. You sell junk and don't even back your merchandise up! You should be ashamed of yourself. UPDATED: in response to Kohl's, I never asked for a free battery. RUDE! I stepped on a bunch of hangers that were laying on the floor last night in this store. A gaggle of employees were "arranging" the clearance racks. I stepped on those hangers, said something like "whoa....that's not a great place to leave a pile of hangers..." Not one employee acknowledged me, so I said, "Excuse me..you do know these hangers are right in the way, right?" To which one girl said, "YEP." That's it...YEP. Not, "Oh, sorry..." "Not, are you ok?" BUT ....YEP. Marched right to manager and told her what happened. Her response? "Oh, I"m sorry....I'll speak to them about it". The Lake Ronkonkoma branch is the best by far, everyone in that store tries there best. Every department is kept neat and organized no matter what season you go there. the shoe department is the best out of all the other branches. This store operates as a team when it comes to moving large crowds through the registers; even the longest lines I've timed it to be no more than five minutes. good people work there. read more

It's a Kohl's. It most definitely has way too much of one thing, and not enough of another. I feel like Kohl's is incredibly overrated in general, and they are always trying to make it seem as if you are getting some sort of a great deal, when you are absolutely not. Yesterday, I came in to find new work shirts. I work at Cheesecake Factory as a server and we are required to wear all white, all the time, so our clothes are constantly getting stained, and have to be replaced fairly often. I was in the young boys section because the shirts are incredibly specific- full button down, pocket on the left side, yatta yatta. I couldn't find my size, so had to get a a size bigger than usual, I didn't care much since I will be back in a few months for more shirts. I then checked the price-tag... $28, and a buy one get one half off "deal". These shirts should be fifteen to begin with! So I have to spend about $45 on two shirts, which are intended for young boys. What? Why? At first I wanted to be safe and get four shirts, but with the realization that I'd be spending ninety dollars to do so, no thank you. read more

This store is always clean and has a gret section of clothing. Though their "low prices" and "sales" don't fool me! What I get for 60% off is the actual only price I would pay! An original price of $79 dollars for a cheaply crafted dress is a joke, so yes try is why your clothes are always 40% off or more. After going to Kohls for over 20 years and using their credit card each time we shop there, they hit me with a fee and refused to do anything about it. Basically, I received the bill after the due date(of course they blame it on the post office). I always pay the bills as soon as I get them and this was no exception. Only thing was I didn't realize that they sent it late until I saw a late fee and interest a week later when I received the following months bill, the only reason I even checked because I thought it was strange that I received another bill just a week after I got the last one. That's when I realized I didn't get it until after the due date. they did refund the fee but not the interest. ugghhh after 20 years of being a loyal customer???? then I said can you also email me the bill which they said they can not do - you can only get a paper statement or email. Guess they sent it late because I don't pay interest on the card or they don't like that a get a paper statement etc. something just is not right. No wonder why brick and morters are going out of business - this would never happen with Amazon - their customers are still important to them. read more
