There was a very hardworking young man that helped us in the shoe department on Sunday May 24, 2026 in Round Lake Beach Kohls. Went out of his way to look in the back for other sizes for us at the same time he was running to help other customers. Very motivated and anxious to help and went out of his way for everyone. No other staff was coming to help him but he did a great job. A pleasant change from employees that arent motivated to help people. Dont lose him. Hardworkers are hard to come by. This Kohl's is okay, but a little short staffed. More or less clean and orderly but some recently displaced items weren't put back yet. Had to wait a bit in line. I can never seem to spend my Kohl's cash before expiration, but the cashier did help me get a different discount. read more

I've been shopping here for a very long time, and even as my style changes they always have something that appeals to me. The prices are reasonable if you stay away from name brands like Nike, and if you shop clearance and sale items you can really get some bargains. Using Kohl's cash helps too, it's basically free money you earn for buying the stuff you already wanted! Yes, it's a ploy to get you back in the store, but a free shirt is a free shirt. The staff has always been helpful and friendly, I've had them look in the back for my size multiple times and never had an issue. I have had a few instances of security tags left on items, but they were apologetic about it when I returned to have them safely removed (although they clearly dont work if I can get home without an alarm going off). The dressing rooms could use more frequent tidying, but it's also the customers not properly removing their items that contributes to that problem. Everything said it's a solid shopping experience. They won't beat Walmart price wise but, I'd rather have an 8 dollar shirt that fits comfortably than a 5 dollar shirt that won't breath and shrinks up on me after one wash. read more

I generally like Kohl's as a store. I tend to only go there when I need an outfit for a special occasion. In a world of online shopping and eternal sales, their prices are extravagant. I mean, who would pay $60 for a baby outfit? Kids grow so fast, they would only wear it twice! But when I need something a little nicer than everyday clothes, I tend to head to Kohl's. (Or when there is a great sale.) When I went to the store was almost abandoned. I mean employees as well as customers. I saw two employees near the register and one on the sales floor. I took a star off of my rating because of the lack of cart availability. There were two employees at the front of the store. There had just been a pretty aggressive storm that rolled through the area. Therefore, all of the carts that are intended for children to sit in were wet in the seat area. Except for one cart, the loudest... the squeakiest... the most embarrassing cart I have ever had the pleasure of being saddled with. At this point, I would have been exceptionally pleased if one of the employees (who were watching me test these carts) would have offered to dry the seat of one of the wet carts. Or even better, if the front end employees were bored (which they clearly were) they could have started drying carts so potential customers wouldn't be inconvenienced or so the carts wouldn't rust and become squeaky burdens. The cashier who rang up my sale was friendly and kind. She said she was new to the position but everything went very smoothly and she did a great job. She even acknowledged my daughter who was babbling for her attention. If the prices could be reviewed and maybe increase the employee count, this would be a great place to go shopping. read more

The people who work here really care about customers. I walked in as I was looking for a birthday present and a lady at the front showed me where I could find some choices. She was so kind. I was having an issue accessing my Kohls Cash as there isn't much of a signal in the store and some other problems with it yet the team there helped me a lot. The cashier was kind and the supervisor was kind. They should be the trainers for all Kohls store. This location is doing everything right for a positive customer experience. I would not normally do a review on a department store but I couldn't pass this one up. I wish I would of taken pictures but I missed the opportunity. First, my daughter needed to try on some outfits in the young girls section. When she walked in she ahead originally assumed people were using all of the stalls but no there was clothes piled up and thrown in the corners of every stall. Now granted she is the only person in there besides me standing by the outer door, the lights kept shutting off. I would have to continually walk in and out to turn on the lights. Though the whole time she is in there trying on clothes and moving around it would still shut off. Next, I go and pick out a couple of running pants and shirts and I want to try them on. I figured you know since kids can be messy and maybe no one has had time to clean up that dressing room, the woman's is worse!!! The rack that customers are supposed to put their clothes on is so extremely full people literally had clothes all over the floor. Every hook in every stall was full of clothes, the benches were all full. I had to put the clothes on the floor so I could sit down. I can't believe it. You guys are going to sell the stuff that has been literally thrown all over this dirty floor! While I am trying to change, my 11 year old daughter is cleaning YOUR DRESSING ROOMS!!!! It's so horrifying and I spent over $400!!! I hope you hire people for the holidays as we are approaching quickly and it seemed to be extremely understaffed. Where was the management checking on this? Honestly if there are other customers reading this, when you try something on, CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF!!! I have learned my lesson with this store. Go to buy a pair of gym shoes on a Tuesday and the shelves were pretty empty. So many so called sales, which is their way to get you in and it's a lie. Can rarely find my size but if you wear a size 5 no problem lots of those. Cashier is rude and so not helpful. I will go out of my way to never shop at kohl's again. Find it funny that nike and Levi's are not discounted part of their agreement and yet that's the majority of what the sell. This is such a con artist store filled with rude people. My dislike for Kohl's goes beyond just this store. Personally, I think there is a huge mark up on all their items, only to make their clearance section seem like a steal. Which makes their clearance sections in every area within this store a mess. Unless you invest a whole day, there is absolutely no way to properly navigate through this area. For me, the only benefit for this Kohl's would be to drop off Amazon returns. read more

Barbara is rude, argumentative, mean, and makes things as hard on customers as possible. When I have to check out at " Customer Service" ( What a joke ) I ALWAYS have to go back and have the security tags taken off. Even after I tell them to MAKE SURE to take them off. They always rush and ignore what the customer is saying. It's just another reason why so many people are losing their jobs to store closures. Wake up people !!! read more

Store is too crammed together. Dirty looking at times. Not enough cashiers most times that I have shopped there. Online shopping is much more convenient for me, But please be aware, returning items turns into a big hassle at times when dealing the staff. read more

Every single shopping cart had a broken child safety strap. We had to go back to the car for our own stroller which meant pushing a stroller and cart to hold purchase items. Also, fitting rooms full of boxes of hangers that we had to navigate around or trip over. Only one lane open. Never asked if we needed help. This store needs work. read more

They do not have enough employees. My first and last 2 visits I could not find anyone on the floor to help me. Well, there was one young male employee roaming around but he was 100% clueless and zero help. I gave up both times and left. Glad I did because the check out lines were crazy long. This store is just a friggin mess everywhere. Clothes thrown all over the floor and the place is filthy. Dressing rooms are full od filth and dirty diapers and pins on the floor. I would not shop here if I can help it. A Bunch of kids are always running around and screaming. Local parents take their kids here to act out just a head ache to shop here not worth it I'd drive 10 miles to the next store. read more

I went tonight with my girlfriend to do some shopping and we found the item relatively quick. The problem was with the costumer service, or lack there of. Upon reaching the cash register, the cashier had a scowl on her face, overtly not in the mood for any kind of customer service of any kind. My girlfriend had some kohls cash but upon review, the kohls cash had expired. The cashier said in a condescending manner "no discount for you". She then drudged the kohls card discount opportunity in what can be described as the least amount of effort in the history of life itself. The ironic part is that she pointed out a survey were we could rate her and she told us to give her a 100. My girlfriend is one of the sweetest and kindest people and I was soooo irate that I told her I would give her a survey and give her a scathing review.
