I purchase items a few days too early without a coupon. I went back to kohl's and asked if they would honor the family and friends coupon in my items previously purchased and they said absolutely. stopped into Kohl's today to use their "convenient" Amazon return service and had a very frustrating experience. They were apparently short-staffed, so they simply closed the Amazon returns counter and put a sign there saying it was unavailable. The problem is there were no signs at the entrance or on the windows letting customers know before walking in. I had to carry all of my return items through the entire store only to find out the service was closed once I got to the back. If a major service like Amazon returns is unavailable, customers should be informed before entering the store. This was poorly handled and a complete waste of time. Kohl's needs to do a much better job communicating with customers. read more

I shop there when I need candles - they have a great selection of quality candles. But every single time I go, weekdays or weekends, there are long, long lines at checkout with only two cashiers on. And today the cashiers also had to answer the constantly ringing phone! It's a shame, really, for one of the last remaining brick and mortar department stores to treat customers this way. read more

Rude cashier to a military person. He asked for a discount and presented his military id. The cashier said she would not recognize it. He explained the id to her but she was not listening. It was real and correct. He was very polite and with a small child but the cashier was very rude. Can you imagine being in the service to fight for our country and protection, yet the i.d. is not accepted at Kohls for a ridiculous pittance of a discount. Kohl's is off my list. I had a wonderful experience with a young woman named Darlin at the Kohl's store in Saugus Ma. She was working in the Sephora department. Darlin was very helpful ! She answered my questions with a smile and in a very professional manner. It's important to me that when I receive great customer service, I point it out . Worst customer service! This store cashier Ellen was so rude, I actually left the store without purchasing any of the items I intend to purchase. I don't know what her issue was, if you're going to be miserable, why work in retail? Go retire rather than working and providing people with your non existent customer service, she had a whole attitude for no reason. The store wasn't even busy, there's no line. After reading some reviews, seems like this lady been miserable for quite some time, if you're shopping at this location, I would avoid her. Customner service in non existent. I returned items in February, This is now April and my credit card still have not been credited. I went back to the store and I was given a phone number to call. They could not find my return number. I will never shop the Saugus store again. Poor customer service and and I am out money for items that were returned. This is my favorite Kohls. The return policy alone gets 5 stars. If you get a credit card you get so many awesome coupons. The clearance racks are awesome. I do so much of my Xmas shopping here. It's so awesome to see how much money I'm saving on great quality clothing and I don't have to worry if something needs to be returned. Other stores like target are too strict. They make you feel guilty about returning something. Not Kohls. Especially this one. The staff is usually very friendly and helpful. I love the women's section. Love the shoe section. Good prices. Love the home stuff. The clearance stuff is great. I have bought some bed n a begs here and they were great. Men's Dept is great. I really like the entire store. You only have be of a shopping age to know that there isn't such a thing as a perfect place all the time , and Kohl's isn't any different. Yes sometimes the lines are long, yes sometimes you encounter an associate having a bad day and down right rude like i have, etc..... Overall, Kohl's of Saugus is a great place to shop and associates are nice and helpful. I was livid when I was spoken down to by a Kohl's associate one time, and when i called the store to relate my experience, the manager on duty showed empathy and i took it for face value and moved on . Oh, the Kohl's of my memories back home in our mutual birthplace, Wisconsin. No more! This one is understaffed to say the least, with overflowing dressing rooms (I was more than a little nervous to use one at all, given there were no staff in sight, much less any kind of attendant), and long, long, LONG checkout lines. I am a frequent shopper of Kohls.....no more!. There is an associate there whom everyone knows. I will not mention this older woman's name, however, I know so many people have complained about her. Lazy, rude and just plain miserable. Yesterday I had the misfortune of getting her at the register again. She was very annoyed at me for putting my 30% off coupon on the counter without the bar code going in the right direction. I was flabbergasted and asked why she was so cranky. Old fashioned department store morphed into a Walmart light shopping option.

I never go 2 kohls & I was approved 4 a charge card there so I said why not. Well there was no one interested in assisting me. I looked at jewelry w/ a nice girl however she must of been gone by the time I was done shopping. There was also 2 women I would say more my age which is 40 that were extremely helpful. However there was 1 young girl who really offended me. I had just tried on a pair of boots I ended up buying, I had just taken them off when I saw her so I could grab her 4 a ?. I asked her if they had any nurses scrubs she said "no we don't u might want 2 go 2 work & gear" and " do u have shoes because u have to have shoes on to be in the store" when I went to stop @ the men's register to put them on she then called every1 2 the men's register. A # of young girls came w/ strange looks on there face. I caught her rolling her eyes and notioning dirty looks towards my way. If I had not spent so much time looking around because that was my 2nd time in that store I would of put it all back. I'm actually sitting in the target parking lot thinking about going back to return all. I work very hard for my money as many do & to b treated or assumed of what kind of customer I was "it was not what can I help u with " never did she use the word please. She just assumed I came into the store with no shoes and road with that. I also spent 200 dollars. When I asked about the jewelry again male @ the register says idk you'll have to ask her pointing to the girl who clearly thought I was a thief or less than. I now remember why I never shop @ kohls because of these same reasons I remember back 20 years ago. I'll never go into a kohls again @ least not that 1 & that's the closet to my house. horrible! I came in to get some dress pants and more than 3/4 of the pants are on the wrong hanger so you have no idea what size they really are. There are PILES of clothes on the floor and the dressing rooms were gross. This store is a pit and I will NEVER go back. read more

They have quite rude customer service lady. I returned a few items and wanted to buy a few right at the customer service desk. She refused to allow me to buy it despite having nobody behind me. She never smiled, refused to give her name, and when I mentioned that I would write about her in store survey, she said that returns do not come with survey. I later called the store and spoke to a manager, who said that she should have helped me since there was nobody behind me, but generally they cannot allow buying at customer service because it is very small and the store is of outdated design to handle such service. Stay away from this store unless you have no other choice (which you do). read more

Wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. I was an employee there for 2 years and i've never worked at a company that was so rude to their employees. Management would tell the cashiers to offer customers $10 off their order if they wrote a positive review before they payed for their merchandise, most times where they made the employees take the customers phones and write the reviews theirselves. Management is also rude, when it was slow days; the supervisor (won't mention any names) would yell at us in front of customers and say "Make yourself useful, and go fold clothes". I've gotten threatened by a supervisor to lose my "position" in front of customers because i wasn't folding clothes due to the way the supervisor demanded us to. They also don't give hours for younger students in college. I worked there for 2 years and only got 1 shift a week. A 4 hour shift once a week. I asked why couldn't i get more hours and they told me "i guess you're just not friendly enough with management".Honestly kohl's and the store manager and supervisors are a joke and honestly should be evaluated, it's a poor choice for a job option.
