I…read moream writing this review because Pam went above and beyond when helping me with an important framed print for my daughter Sarah's rehearsal dinner. The framed print was purchased by Sarah's future mother-in-law to display at the event. She initially asked me to do the lettering--the wedding couple's names and title--on the matte, giving me less than two weeks to complete it. (I must admit, she initially thought I could do it by hand, but I didn't feel comfortable with the task.) While searching The Tin Bucket website, I saw the beautiful work Pam could do with lettering transfers. I reached out and asked if she could possibly take on this project. With a smile on her cheery face, Pam went right to work, providing possible different lettering choices within just three days! Once the lettering was agreed upon, Pam took apart the frame only to find the matte was glued to the frame itself. This is the remarkable part, especially with the rehearsal dinner just a few days away: Pam actually bought another frame and matte herself and finished the lettering! It was all done within the needed timeframe, even with the unexpected matte issue. I cannot thank Pam enough; she was professional, delightful, and truly committed to helping me. I believe this level of service is extraordinary these days, and it is so important to know we have Pam and The Tin Bucket in our town. Once I checked out she offered to wrap it for me with no extra charge. I thought it was such a special touch. She also has an adorable dog that was behind the counter who was a friendly old lady. Well I tried to give this store another chance today. I looked up what time they were open until…read moreand it said 8PM. Just to be sure I called the store and the woman on the phone verified that they are open until 8 PM. I then got to the store and saw a few customers walking out as I was parking. So I walked up to the door and it was locked. I see two woman at the register in the middle of the store. Now, keep in mind I had just called not even five minutes prior and confirmed they were open until 8. So I started walking away and called the number back (I didn't want to be rude by knocking on the glass door, plus I thought maybe I misunderstood when she said they were open until 8). The same woman as before answered the phone & confirmed they're open til 8. I explained to her that I'd just tried to come in and the door was locked. She sounded frazzled ( I guess would be the word??) and said "oh it shouldn't be locked, are you still here??"... I told her I was walking away but would turn back around. I get to the door and see two employees standing at the register & one comes over to the door, undoes the lock, & cracks the door open. This woman had her purse on her arm and a set of keys in her hand. I explained to her that I had just called and was told that they were open until 8. She tells me that no, starting next week they'll be open until eight but they close at seven now, and if I "really want to" I can come in and grab what I need quickly. The way that she said this made it very obvious that she did not want me to come in, especially since she had her purse in her hand and was blocking my entrance to the store. Now keep in mind when I first pulled up to the store at 7:30 I saw customers leaving, so clearly they didn't close at seven. I told her to forget it and that I will come back a different day. This entire situation has me very confused because I called the store at around 7:20 & don't understand why I was told they close at 8. Obviously if someone is calling 45 minutes before you close they are probably planning to come in that night. I spend a lot of money at the store because I use their premium flat wrap in my business. Anytime I am there I spend at least $50 and I go there multiple times a month. This is the second time I've had a bad experience at this store and unfortunately at this point it doesn't matter how much I love their products, I will be finding somewhere else to shop.
