It's like any other retailer.....hit or miss with merchandise,price,service. Some things are way overpriced and some things seem to be ok.

The inside is well decorated with lots and lots of stuff to keep you occupied throughout walking through the store. They judge hard though I come in with a neck tattoo and they all stare at me like I'm some thief. I pick up a chocolate bar at the check register and I go back into Sephora, where my aunt was she was picking out makeup. They then asked me if I paid for the chocolate bar. No, I did not you dumb fuck I'm in Sephora. That's connected with Kohl's this place needs to get therapy not everyone who looks likes aTheif is one. read more

Horrible. All workers are not even at checkout. Amazon return never has a worker. I wanted to buy a chocolate bar I waited at the front for 10 minutes no worker ever showed up. I had to make it upon myself to just take it. read more

Last time went in, sign said certain price got to front, it was not on sale. Went in today,2 different signs- 1 said buy one get one half. Understood. Sign on other side said items 70-80 half off (no buy one get one half off- just half off). I worked customer service- I know how to read signs. Got to register, tried explaining the signs, lady started raising her voice slightly, told me "no" it's only buy one. Wouldn't listen, became a bit rude. Just seems signs are either always wrong or computers wrong. Kohls used to have good deals and good sales. Just sucks now- way overpriced. read more

Lindsey, who is a manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. There are glasses marked as50% off very clearly above the sign. But ring as full price. Instead of explaining calmly she just got very defensive and kept saying it's not 50% off. This is no way to run a store. You cannot mislabel product and then yell at your customers when they ask. Also she made me wait 15 minutes before speaking with me and no one is in the store, so literally just made me wait because she's lazy. My family and I Will not be back or shopping with Kohl's ever. read more

You can find great bargains at this department store if you don't mind a little digging. This store has been a staple at the university mall for a long time. This is a great place to go for Christmas shopping as you can find something for everyone. The quality of the apparel is good. They usually have a good clearance section with discounted clothes for half the retail price. But this is still a department store. The store can be hit or miss in regards to deals and service. read more

We have had good luck finding quality bedding at Kohl's but were disappointed to discover that the special discounted prices were no better than in other local department stores. But most disappointing was a trip there yesterday in the late morning. The store was a mess, dressing rooms included, and there were no staff visible most of the time. We had to wait for someone to appear at a cash register to ring up our purchase. read more

Kohl's is a fairly well put together department store and it's ok as staffing goes. There are a few departments that aren't so helpful but in general there's a friendly approach. The prices aren't bad and they use a kind of baffling pricing tag system on LCD displays which takes some getting used to but helps when it comes to sales. The checkout by the mall entrance is a bit awkward as they don't have one line and there have been cases where I've seen one cashier working while one other was chatting it up with another associate. The checkout itself is a bit inefficient but you eventually get out. read more

It's not a bad store. There are good deals here for sure. I don't like how the price on the tag is sky high and the "sale" price makes it look like a good deal, particularly with clothes. I find the sale price of some clothes makes it a good deal whereas with the cheap quality of a lot of the clothes, the sale price is still high for what you get. That said, if one is careful and wise, one can find a good deal on clothing here. read more

The customer service lady was a bitch to me. I asked to return something and wanted cash back, and she rudely told me "NO." No explanation, nothing. I returned something a few years ago and whoever it was, was much more friendly and helpful. read more

I've been a loyal Kohl's shopper in South Burlington, Vt since you opened your doors. I have always had positive shopping experiences, this has changed in my last 3 visits. Alot of us working people do our shopping after work during the week. My first negative experience is after working all day and stopping in to buy a few things, I went to the checkout there were 2 people working on the registers which is ok, if they are both working. One of them was working, the other girl was talking to another female worker as she leaned over the register and they were both engaged with conversation with a good looking guy. Meanwhile we are all waiting in line, after about 10 minutes, the girl that was doing her job was waiting on a woman who bought a while cart full of sale clothing. These other 2 were not doing much at all. So I left the line after 10 minutes, I was second in line, but it didn't move so I put my things down and walked out without buying them. Ok so I tried again, 2nd time only one person working the register on each entrance of the store, lines too long so I left. I decided to give it one more try I went last night after work. I had quite a few items in my cart, again 1 person on register at each entrance. One line was 5 deep with alot of merchandise in everyones carts or hands. Meanwhile 2 female employees are stand standing over in the women's department next to work out clothes and jeans and just visiting. I did ask someone in the store if they were going to open another register and they said no, so again I left my cart. I'm not sure I am going to go back again, very frustrating. read more

The store is laid out like a department store instead of a discount clothing store which is a bit more attractive. I was excited to find a simple Nike t-shirt in the activewear section for $25. Everywhere else in the mall the t shirts were oddly fitted, transparent, and/or with strange logos, zippers, glitter etc. The only trouble I had with Kohls was upon checkout, my cashier pushed the Kohls credit card on me, which is no different than any other Kohls. However, when I said no thank you, he continued to press on. Then when I explained that I don't want another credit card because it would negatively effect my credit score he corrected me, to tell me that the ding to my score would not be significant. It may not be significant to him, but it is to me. I don't blame the cashier but I do blame Kohls for giving their employees incentives for pushing credit cards on customers. This interaction marred my experience. read more

I love all of the Kohl's stores that I have gone to but when I asked for help the staff was incredibly rude. I spoke with the manager and she was even worse. The customer service skills here (at least for the two women I spoke with) were appalling. I will NEVER go back to the South Burlington Kohl's. read more
