So I hate to rag on Kohls but the after-Christmas sales were just okay - and it is SUPER FREAKY to see Valentines and St. Patrick's day merch out on the day after Christmas - in the case of the Valentine's Day stuff it's EN MASSE. Why were the sales just okay? Well, there wasn't much in the lower ranges where you could get half off and many of the sales were BOGO. I don't need BOGO. I need one item lol. So I ended up passing on everything I intended to investigate today. On the positive side, I was very surprised and pleased to find them open before 10 and all set for Christmas returns. So Kohl's. I can't say I've ever purchased anything here. Oh, actually, I did buy one white knit sweater back in 2016 It's very close to my house, But I'm just never inspired to come shop here and I'll tell you why. I am appreciative of them having an Amazon return station in the back of their store, though. 1) The stock is very reminiscent of early 2000's department stores. I enjoy dynamic businesses. Nothing really ever changes, and I think that works perfectly... For a certain demographic. 2) to me, their prices have never been what I would call competitive. Sure, they have some sales and incentives like Kohl's cash. The original price of an item is way beyond what I would ever consider paying, So if the sale price is a bit more reasonable, is it even a sale price? I'm not a stingy person, honest. I love investing in high quality items that will last me a long time. But if I'm going to pay fast fashion, it's not going to be at these prices. That white sweater I mentioned earlier, it pilled like crazy and completely lost its shape that same year. So even though I'm here at least once a month returning Amazon purchases, I'm simply not inspired to become a Kohl's shopper. read more

Never shopped here until we had kids - love Kohls! The ease of ordering online for mailing to home or pick up is super convenient. Unfortunately there is no more drive up option. It was nice for when kiddos are napping. The instore staff is great - always pleasant and helpful. The options in store are somewhat lacking (more available online) however there is something to be said about being able to feel the product versus guess from the internet. Tip: make a profile to use online/in app/instore. Plenty of discount - never pay full price! I use to enjoy Kohl's because their prices were cheaper than the mall but now they're on par or more expensive. Their quality of clothing has gone down hill over the years and I got tired of tossing out clothing I bought three months ago because it came to heavy wear and tear in just little time. I'm gentle with my clothing, cold was/line dry so it's not me it's the manufacture drop in quality. This location seems to have an issue keeping staff. I noticed really high turn over here. Enough so that shelves are not getting stocked like they use to, they're carrying less/fewer products than they use to.... The changing room gets neglected a lot and neglected a lot and there are often huge mounds of clothing by the area I have had many issues with returning online product. I find they get pissy with you if you try to return more than 10 items at a time. Even though you ordered them legitly you still get the look like you stole them. I'd neatly organize my returns with everything in order. Then the reps would fuss, fumble and moan about the returns. Due to the metal roof over the return area you loose cell signal so you can't pull up your receipt to show them you bought it from them. I've had issues where the reps just dump the items on the counter and take them out of the plastic sleeves you nicely put them in then complain about how everything is out of order... No returns are hassles. This if anything is what made me stop supporting Kohls. Bras. I don't get it. Kohl's has an amazing plus sized section but their bras only top out at double digits and there is nothing for women that need larger sizes. Another issue I have is kohl's clothing runs large for the curvier side of society. This means most of your clothing will be built for chunkier people. So those that are not curvy have a hard time finding reasonably fit-able clothing. I also noticed that designers have an unrealistic vision of what people want. A few times I've seen profiling of people at this location and that's not right. This summer (2024) there was an incident and I saw it too. The lady was just shopping and she got profiled and was asked to leave. Done nothing wrong other than try to find clothing to fit. This isn't the first time I've seen loss prevention profile people. Another reason I don't support this location any more. I have had issues with buying product online. Many items go to last act and once they do that you're stuck with it. No return, no nothing. This sucks especially if you buy it then two days later it goes to last act. Macy's does this as well and I refuse to support companies that stick customers with an item that may or may not work in this business practice. This looses customers and does not keep them. There are many other reasons why I no longer support koh'ls. Main reasons are clothing quality drop and returns are hassles. read more

Shocked that Kohl's would hire someone like Kody as a manager. I came in to simply apply a return coupon to a new purchase and was treated with total disrespect. Not only was the service denied without reason, but Kody used excessive force and even threatened to call the police. This is where my mom likes to shop. Store is bright and nice. They have some pretty good deals on brand name items like Calvin Klein etc. I picked up a pair of earring here and they were buy one get one free at that time. They also have their own products as well. LIke the blanket each year they sell and the duvet cover all made for Kohls. I got one of those and eventhough its Christmas patterns but I have to say the colors are bright. Good quality but the prices are not cheap for $40. I have no clue why my mom got one of those. Prices here are hit and miss and when you first walk in it can be quite expensive at first sight when you look at their products. But I like Kohls more then other big stores like JC Penny at least you know they are at a higher end than those stores. read more

Holy cheap clothes, Batman! As my superfriend and I jetted in the direction of Peso's on our way from Ikea, she screamed! DSW! Shoes! I looked up from my stupor and realized that we were in the third circle of hell, also known as Southcenter, and almost objected. Until I saw Kohl's. Kohl's? Since when does Seattle (yeah, I know it was Tukwila) submit to the likes of Kohl's? Who gives a fuck? Park the car. We swooped into DSW (TBR - To Be Reviewed), stopped by InSpa (she got her brows waxed), and then, stormed Kohl's. Two pair of jeans (no, not Mom Jeans) and a couple of tops later and the total was $78.25. Seriously. This is the shit that I was missing about the Midwest and South. Reasonable prices for reasonable goods. This ain't no Barney's, so don't go expecting designer shit (although they do carry Vera Wang's streetwear line and I almost bought a pair of KILLER boots for $75). There is ALWAYS a sale going on. Better deals than at Ross, but the gauntlet is less traumatizing and the staff is actually NICE here. Go get them deals! read more

This is a nice big location, that has not ever been too busy when I've gone, but also does not have a great selection of clothes. I'll admit I've come here in search of work travel clothes on a budget and been quite disappointed with their inventory. Either it's been picked through, or they just don't receive the stock that other stores do. There is also next to no one on the floor to help you if you have a question or need help finding something that was put in the wrong place. The deals at Kohl's are what bring people in, but this location sadly doesn't carry enough of what I'm looking for or the personnel to help point me in another direction when I've given up. In the future I'll stick to the Lynnwood location, as they have both good inventory and enough employees to help the folks who come in needing help. read more

I love Kohl's! The store is never too busy, always has staff at the registers and has an amazing product selection. I habitually check the flyers that come in the mail! 50-60% off sales happen regularly on specified days and on many cases you get Kohl's dollars! Kohl's dollars are awesome. They are credits you get towards your next purchase; for example a couple weeks ago, I spent $150 on cold weather boots and a coat and for every $50 I got a $10 Kohl's Cash. It was $30 towards my next purchase ON TOP OF the 50% savings that day and was able to get two pairs of $30 gloves for free! Heads up though: If you are doing returns and you received Kohl's ca$h from that sale, it will reduce your Kohl's ca$h amount accordingly. However, if you choose to take merchandise credit instead of credit back to your credit card, you get to keep that Kohl's ca$h (the full amount)! read more

Went here yesterday shopping for Christmas presents for Mom & Dad. It was impossible to find anything in the store & even harder to find a salesperson on the floor. Found 1 person who was a vendor stocking shelves. Finally found one salesperson at the same time another shopper did. We both obviously needed assistance. Store shelves needed tidying. Who makes such a mess of things??? One side of the store had 2 registers open with a long line so I went to the other side of the store where there was only one cashier with 3 people in line. Unfortunately the first person in line needed to have her receipt adjusted for her senior discount so we all had to wait til the manager came to adjust. I asked for gift receipts but they weren't given so I too had to wait for manager assistance. Sad thing is I saw lots of stuff in the store I would like to shop for but they are so understaffed I don't look forward to shopping there. read more

Kohl's is a mini department store that I go to once in a blue moon when shopping for clothes. A lot of their clothes in my size are old grandma style or from the hood, and I'm neither from East LA nor ready to start wearing giant flowers all over my body. However, sometimes I find good pants, dresses and shirts for work, but I really have to look through every single rack they have to find them. I've yet to see an employee on the floor. This time I interacted with a great cashier. I was all over the store from one side to another and never saw another employee. When I asked the cashier for help for where to find a wristlet, she wasn't sure if they would be with purses or cell phone cases which were in 2 far different locations in the store. I found one I liked and it was the only one I found. They didn't have any wristlets at all or they were very good at hiding them. I needed to get tennis shoes but they had limited styles and they were still selling last season's Nike's. I had on my feet what was still on the shelf. No stars based on management. I used the AMAZON return service here & didn't realize I had left a personal item in the bag I returned. This was during the holidays when they closed much later, so I frantically call & explain my situation, the item I left was my passport. I spoke with a Dana who told me she'd look & call me back with an update, 2 hrs later and no call so I decide to go in at 11pm. I speak with a CS person in the back corner & she calls her manager who then tells her that they didn't find anything. So I asked why wasn't I called and told this, the manager (who is still in the phone) has no answer for me, so she says the AMAZON pick ups don't come until the end of the week & they'll look again tomorrow when the AMAZON rep comes in so she tells me to leave my info. Next day comes, it's now almost 5pm so I call for a follow up. The manager I got was a male, I wish I remembered his name. At first he said it was his office day so he want sure what the status is because he hasn't gone through his emails yet, then I ask when the pick up happens he said it already happened. I asked why, AGAIN, did no one follow up with me. He then says a rep found the bag, but nothing was in it, so now I'm confused and I ask him to clarify, he then tells me he spoke with the other manager from the previous night who said she didn't find anything. Upset I explain that I am 1,000,000,000% sure my passport is in the bag, he then responds rudely and says "ma'am we looked in the bag and there was nothing there!" I contact AMAZON, 4 weeks later AMAZON returns the bag WITH my passport still in it. I realize that what I asked that night was truly a lot, but if the reps & especially the MANAGERS could just be honest and not tell me things just to get me off the phone I could have appreciated that. If the first manager had said unfortunately you have to contact AMAZON I would've accepted that and gone from there. But they gave me some hope & strung me along only to be rude in the end. I have a couple shameful secrets when it comes to shopping and Kohls is one of them. I discovered it about a year ago during one of my regular trips to the Nordstrom Rack (next door) and now I always have to pop in when I'm in the area. For clothes I like it MUCH better than Target, which is always picked over and crappy. Plus, the clothes at Kohls are always 30-60% every dang time I'm there. And here's where my shame shows no limits. Last time I was there I checked out the Jennifer Lopez clothing collection and was stunned to find how cute the stuff actually is. I'm also a big fan of the Lauren Conrad clothing! Wait, it gets worse...Remember Daisy Fuentes from MTV? Well, I'm not really sure of her relevance either, but she has an underwear line for Kohls and it's the best underwear I've ever owned. I even went online and ordered a crap ton of it because the store was running low (apparently I'm not the only one who loves the stuff). You have to kind of be in the mood to rummage around, but there are usually some well priced, affordable gems. I never leave empty handed. read more

Kohl's seemed like a great store to shop. But in order to get deals you have to use your Kohl's card. Ok no problem. I pay my balance off of any card every month. If you go to pay online, good luck trying to get online.If you call them to pay they want to charge you15.00 yes 15.00 for paying by phone. If you go in the store to pay them they can't tell you what you owe and you have to go to phone and wait online there to find out the balance, oh and they repeatedly did not send statements by mail. Game over. Won't do any business with them. This seems like a ploy to snag people into being late. read more

Well, Kohl's may have great bargains, but we had a negative experience at Southcenter store. My husband and I were surprised that the Men's dept. (suits) was in such disarray, so we asked a passing clerk for help. She said Okay, she would send someone-but no one came after about 20 minutes. We observed 2 clerks chatting with each other on our way out. We gave up, especially my husband, who dislikes shopping anyway. I doubt we will ever go back to that store. read more

I don't know what it is about this Kohl's, actually, I do. It is their understaffed poorly trained employees that make it such a chore to come here. The down and dirty: The store is always clean, the shelves are moderately arranged, the aisles are nonexistant in an attempt to fit more clothes and products in.The sizes will be out of order. Finding men's dress pants will be a nightmare because it's rarely folded or in order. The return/customer service counter is located all of the way in the back left of the store - reminiscent of department stores of the 90s. If you're in a rush, I recommend using their website to do your shopping. Either that or make sure you are well fed, well rested, patient, and have something to read while in line. The nitty gritty: When asking for a sweater that was in an ad, the employee that I asked had to find another to tell her where it was, even though I found her stocking in that department. She didn't know where featured merchandise was. On a different visit, I asked if a different sized sweater was available, possibly in another loctaion, in a stock room, etc. I had to run through three employees, 2 cashiers, 1 manager, 2 RFC scanners to find out: "No." The first two employees didn't know how the merchandise was stocked, nor did they know how to use the scanners, and the second girl kept saying that the first sweet timid girl broke both of them. The manager finally swooped in, used the scanner and walked us back to their "Online Shopping Portal". When we finally got back in line for the checkout, two of the three cashiers went on break. Leaving one confused cashier by herself with a long line. We went to the second cashier station with naive dreams of getting out of there quicker. The line was longer, because the cashier had stopped to have a conversation with a customer after their transaction was done. We were second in line. It took 20+ minutes to buy a pack of socks and a single giftcard. I think for my patience and sanity sake, I will be avoiding this Kohl's in the future. read more

But I do love their selection and low cost of the childrens clothing, forgot the brand but theyre good quality for such good sweat pants and all for my son. Most of the time this place is pretty clean and organized. Love their kitchen section, its so wonderful. Lots of so many cool things that we dont need but want. LOL. I believe this was only my second time stepping foot inside of Kohl's and I don't know why I don't shop here more often. I got really lucky that my boyfriend and I happened to check out what they had here. They had lots of racks full of sales and mind you, this was just the weekend AFTER Memorial Day weekend. There were racks of 60, 70, and 80% off! I managed to find 2 pairs of shorts that were about $6 each and 2 camisoles that were about $3 each. So I spent a little over $18 and my receipt said I saved over $64!!! What a steal! I'll be making my way back here. ;D read more

I discovered Jennifer Lopez, Lauren Conrad, and Daisy Fuentes' clothing lines there and love them. It's always my first place stop for sandals and boots. One year I kept going back for more and more sandals 'til I had just the right pair for everything. With their prices, I could afford to get all I needed. Kohl's takes high-pressure debt peddling to a new level. Let's see how short I can make this rant. I go to Kohl's. They ask me if I want a Kohl's credit card. I use my debit card. They decline it. They ask me if I want a Kohl's credit card. I know I have the money. I show them I have the money (through the Chase app and text alerts). I call Chase. Chase says I have the money, and there are no problems with my card, and that there are no transactions coming from Kohl's, the problem is with Kohl's, they aren't really running my card. They call a manager. She asks me if I want a Kohl's credit card. I explain my situation. She looks at my card to see that it's a Visa so she knows who to call. I ask her to call Chase, it's a Chase card, and they can tell her what I am saying is true (it's not that it's being declined, it's that Kohl's isn't sending them a transaction). She calls. She says she's sorry, the number she calls only deals with Kohl's credit cards. I ask her to call my bank speak with them (like the decline asked them to). She says, and this is what gets me, that she can only help me if I get a Kohl's credit card. I go to an ATM and use that very card to get cash, then return. ONLY because my wife really wants this item, and it is on sale for 50% off. TO MY WIFE: Don't bother to apologize, I am nothing but happy that I was able to get this for you. What happened has nothing to do with you, or the item to which you will soon be the delighted owner. TO KOHL'S: You suck. read more

One of our favorite stores. Just wish it was closer. Open a store in Issaquah, Sammamish or Bellevue. Some great deals and we can find exactly need and other times not. I put five stars b/c the cashier seemed a bit removed, but honestly the young woman who helped me, Ashley, was lovely and wonderful. She was SOOO helpful since this was only my second time in a Kohl's. I was DEEPLY IMPRESSED with the fact that: A.) She asked me if I needed help and initially I thought I did not, but when I did tell her I needed help and asked a question, she was there for me, with a smile and intently looking at me with an answer. What amazing customer service! I am 44, and as someone who has been in customer service for 28 years, it was wonderful and refreshing and I was so glad that she was there! I have fibromyalgia and was having a really bad day and man, she was and is just lovely and wonderful and she went through all of the clearance pricing with me and explained what the different tags meant. She also seemed happy and proud of her job and I have never met anyone in retail like that in many, many years. B.) The selection of the plus size shirts in the Clearance section were wonderful. What I liked were the different prints, selections and textures. Most of them were 8.80, but I got one for 3.00 and one for 6.00. Amazing prices. Incredible, Beautiful clothes. I am impressed with the Jennifer Lopez brand. 3) They pushed the credit card on me, which I did not get, but that was okay. They also honored that and gave me two discounts, one for that and friends and family. As someone who is unemployed and lives in public housing, I got several shirts for 26.00. I was happy. 4.) The Manager got there two weeks ago and the store is shiny, clean, organized and beautiful. After a horrific experience on the same day (St. patty's day 2018), i was so happy to have this experience after going to Burlington Coat Factory, where I had a horrific experience. This Kohl's has some of the worst customer service I've encountered at this chain. It's a complete nightmare to return or exchange something to this store. So much for their "No Questions Asked - Hassle Free" return policy. My fiancé and I came into exchange some jeans that didn't fit him properly and it just seemed like we were bothering the employee since she couldn't figure out how to scan the jeans back in (the tags had been removed). I told her I had my Kohl's credit card with me and she interrupted and said that wouldn't help. She sent another employee to the jeans department to find some with tags and then proceeded to GO HOME. She told us she had to go and left the other employee to help us instead. Very unprofessional. This entire process took about 20 minutes and all we wanted to do was exchange them for another size.
