Unfortunately, this place breaks two of the three pillars of a good place: service and quality. For starters, some of the staff that work here are notoriously unprofessional. No hi, no thank you, no enjoy. They will straight up ask what do you want and not acknowledge you after you've paid. Tip at your own discretion. Second - the quality of the actual teas are super hit or miss and none of it tastes natural. Someone else pointed out that they taste synthetic and that's probably the best term to describe it. They are also overloaded with sugar - to the point it just tastes like sugar water and nothing else. It's so incredibly overbearing. The location itself - a simple stand in the middle of the mall - is hard to navigate because it's located right smack dab in the middle - so when lines pack up, you might end up needing to wait a little bit. Seating: there isn't specific seating for Kokee Tea, but there are seats and tables in the mall. So you will be able to find seats somewhere! Food: the drinks are refreshing and there's a variety of flavors! Most have caffeine, but they do have some fruity drinks without caffeine (in case you wanted non-caffeinated drinks). They also only have one size. Bathroom: there isn't a specific bathroom for Kokee Tea, but the mall has bathrooms. This review is based SOLEY on what we ordered. We got the coffee cloud drink with coffee jelly (no changes) and the Kokee milk tea (no changes). Our total for these two large drinks was ~$17. And when I say it was quite possibly the worst boba I've ever had, I'm not being dramatic. Even after spending $17 it was unpalatable so we literally took 2 sips and threw it away. The coffee cloud was so bitter and tasted like burnt awful coffee. Actually gag inducing. The Kokee milk tea was more bearable than the coffee cloud, but it also was just so bad I threw it out. Sickeningly sweet, doesn't taste at all like tea. Huge waste of money and incredibly disappointing. Location might be ideal, but my god the service (the girl taking our order) was whispering and annoyed when we asked any questions. And the food is severely lacking. Will not return. read more

I got the cookies n cream brown sugar milk tea (I forgot the name of it, but it was a special) and I thought it was alright. With my sweet tooth, it was pleasant to drink, but it may not be for someone who does not have one, or wants to watch their calories. I wish the oreos were blended or smaller, since the large chunks get stuck in the boba straw. I also think the drink could have been blended more as the toppings and syrup were all on the bottom. I ordered the lychee black tea with lychee jelly and added tapioca. I'm so glad I order the drink 25 percent sugar because the lychee flavor and the lychee jelly made the drink sweet enough for my taste. A nice balance of lychee and tea flavor. Taro milk tea is my goto drink from kokee. I have been to fairoaks kiosk a couple times. Although drink quality is okay, I find their staff always act snobbish. No hi thanks or bye and they always act like I'm disturbing their conversation. My daughter always gets strawberry latte from boba stores and she rated kokee strawberry milk tea zero star today. I checked and It tasted like water; nothing like strawberries. Travel down the road to Yi Fang and get higher quality milk tea there. Won't be visiting again. read more

They offer milk teas, fruity teas, and macarons. You can choose your sweetness level (25%, 50%, 75%, Regular) and toppings (add $0.50/topping). Some toppings include honey boba, strawberry bubble, peach bubble, egg pudding, mango jelly, rainbow jelly, strawberry jelly, etc.). Tried their House Milk Tea w/ Honey Boba. The tea had good flavor. I wouldn't say this is my favorite place to get milk tea but it was very convenient. The Honey Boba had a great consistency and flavor. The macarons were delicious, fresh, flavorful, and had super cute designs. I'm so glad we checked this place out. Will definitely be back to try out some of their other drinks. read more

I ordered over $70 worth of drinks and snacks from here and I was foolish enough to think their quality was good. I paid $6 for avocado bubble tea thinking (like all places) it had real avocado in there. BUT NO. It tastes synthetic and gross and not at all what I paid for. I asked for an exchange for anything else because it didn't taste right. It didn't even taste like avocado and had a bad after taste but the lady in charge said that because I "tasted it" she can't exchange it. Really? How else was i supposed to know it tasted DISGUSTING. You have the option of ordering hot tea, bubble tea, etc. Toppings such as bubble and jelly are extra. I came during a weeknight and I hardly had to wait at all to place my order. Since it was my first time here, I decided to order the classic Thai tea with bubbles (tapioca). They were quick and were nice enough to give me a Choco pie too! My review is based solely on one visit. A small kiosk in Fair Oaks mall, Kokee Tea is one of its kind in the mall (I believe there are no other places serving bubble tea). And that is why there were quite a few people swirling around on a Sunday afternoon, from bubble tea veterans like myself (lol) to curious first time customers. Their menu is weirdly taped to a glass stand making it somewhat uncomfortable for people trying to figure out what to order, especially when there's a line. I usually get milk based teas, but this time around I opted for a Rose from San Fran which is a combination of jasmine infused green tea and lychee and rose. I was pleasantly surprised. The drink wasn't too sweet and was very refreshing. Unfortunately, they serve only large cups and that is way too much bubble tea in my opinion. I'm a newbie to this tea! My first and only experience was Kung Fu tea. Fast forward to a quick visit at Fair Oaks mall. This cute kiosk is located on the lower level of the mall. Lots of flavors and instructions on how to order. There was a bunch of staff in the kiosk so my order came out very quick. I got the 25% worth of sugar and it was still super sweet. As a boba lover, I am always craving it. However, I avoid ordering from here. It doesn't taste like the tea that I normally drink. It tastes a bit artificial. It's not horrible but it's not good either. It's just there if you're in desperate need. I normally have go-to drinks when I order from a boba shop, but I have yet to find a drink that I want to order again and again. Went here on a Saturday and ordered the earl grey tea with sea salt crema and coffee jelly sooooo good! The topping was both sweet and salfy and just perfect, the coffee jelly was a burst of flavor in my mouth! My sister and niece had the taro boba and they loved it so much, they ordered it twice! Not very good, customer service is mediocre at best, sanitation is horrible. I noticed many things wrong at this Kokee Tea but I will only mention a couple. First the guy mopping the floor in front of the kiosk kept on picking up trash and placing it on the counter (at the same place where the drinks are served). It was gross and I asked him why he is throwing the trash there and he said that's where it is supposed to go - I asked him does that include trash off the floor? His answer was yes. Smoothie with bubble tea was pretty bad - asked for 20% sugar but still tooo sweet - not sure if they actually reduced it or kept it the same. The consistency of the smoothie was bad too.
