I'm sworn off Pizza and junk food in general but every now and then that craving gets the better of me. This place is Old School Pizza at old school prices. The owners tell me they've been going at it for 30 years and it looks like the decor hasn't changed in all that time, but hey, they make a good pizza. A great thin crispy base. Good balance of support and toppings. 1 price for all varieties. They're open late. It's not exactly gourmet decor or menu, but I loved it.
I note the 'Double dogs" look diabolically delicious but I am yet to succumb to one of the most unique looking fast food option I've seen in a while. Imagine pizza folded in half over a couple of serious looking hot dogs. Diabolical right? Nothing on the menu board would tempt me to go there but then I saw some in the flesh. For now, I remain just a voyeur for this treat but the people seated next to me looked like they were regulars and loving it. If you're up for something different and not worried about that kind of thing, you just might love it too.
The occasional Pizza is enough of a guilty pleasure for me but I am definitely tempted to try downing a double dog - they look so unique. read more
