I go to this Rogers Park institution for Reisman's cinnamon babka, my favorite brand of kasha (buckwheat groats), and anything else I need or want in a pinch when I'm in this part of Chicagoland.

Shulam led a wine tasting for my staff summer party. He was amazing!! So knowledgable, so fun, so relatable! This was a mixed crowd of religions. He was sensitive to that & wonderful!! HIGHLY recommend!! Also, the wines were fabulous!!

This place is FIRE. My girl is Jewish, and her family recommended we come to this supermarket for some Kosher foods. I am a convert for real when it comes to this great bakeries and foods I have the opportunity to indulge inside. Our first time coming to Kol Tuv Kosher Foods. We bought tons of bread, pastries, and Kosher meats. Store is clean, and it smells like good cooked foods inside near the Deli. The Cinnamon Babka is FIRE. Taste really good, I am not pulling anyone's skin when I say FIRE. Nice people and employees here. We will be back on our next trip. read more

Love supporting a local business. The checkout line can be a little rough. Customers seem to not pay attention to the line formed unless you're right up against the person in front of you. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Store prices could be a little more distinct. Some items are difficult to know the price of prior to checkout. Love the variety of snacks and candy. read more

Better than getting what we ordered, we got what we really wanted! I didn't pay attention to the on-line screen showing the size of bottles in the case of wine I ordered. So the smaller case, which I ordered, was made ready for pickup. No problem. They were happy to replace what I'd ordered with what we really wanted (larger bottles vs smaller) at the nice on-line price we would have gotten had we ordered as we'd meant to. And though I tried as hard as I dared, I wasn't even allowed to carry the heavy case to my car. It was taken out and put in the car for me. Gerry S. read more

My wife and I had a really nice experience working with Shulim and Kol Tuv to cater a personal event with kosher wine. We really can't say enough about how convenient, kind, knowledgeable, and flexible he and Kol Tuv were. (As a bonus, we were permitted to return any unopened bottles after the event, making it much easier for us to ensure we had enough without being wasteful.) We highly recommend using Kol Tuv for wine and various other goodies. The staff is really pleasant and nice, and Shulim particularly is a joy to work with. We'll be returning soon and we wish this business much success. read more

They have the best kosher wine selection in the metropolitan area! I should know because my finance and I have been all over the city and burbs looking for high quality kosher wine for our wedding. Shulim the wine expert is amazing; he is like a sommelier at a fine restaurant. He's familiar with a wide range of excellent kosher wines which he can pair with your menu. Kol Tuv is an entirely kosher grocery store that is both cozy and has countless products filling every corner! From household staples like tahini to candy that doubles as toys, Kol Tuv has every kosher item I could think of. Kol Tuv must have the largest selection of kosher wine in Chicago - the best price on Bartenura Moscato, of course, the classic Manischewitz, and hard-to-find Israeli wines, too! Shulim, Kol Tuv's in-house wine consultant, is always so helpful every time I come into the store, pointing me in the direction of delicious new wines within my budget. Great kosher selection! The manager even made a custom gift order for me. They had a great selection of pastries. My favorite ones are the fudge brownies! If anyone happens to go to the store I recommend getting some of those brownies. read more

My family love this small mom and pop shop. I know heel has a much larger selection of kosher food but this place tries hard to make people happy. They often go out of there way to order items I am looking for. The nice guy Shulum has on many occasions Goan out of his way to correct the minor issues that arise. There is parking across the street and it's free. Most of the workers here are nice and friendly and they try to be helpful when needed. The pricing here for kosher food is good. It's truly the customer service that will keep me coming back. read more

I enjoy shopping here and take my time as they have such a variety of items. Their prices are a bit high but some of their specials are decent. I like that it is a "mom and pop" place, so i do not mind paying a bit more occasionally. They also have a nice wine selection for a smaller store. It is much larger on the inside than it appears from the outside. Staff is nice and helpful, too. I recommend stopping in for Pesach goods! read more

I'm really impressed with this family-owned grocery in the heart of Rogers Park! First, I'm primarily concerned with availability of products and customer service. Kol Tuv excels in both of those categories. I'm consistently satisfied with the products they carry, from the products they bring in from area kosher restaurants to the wide variety of kosher liquor and wines! The customer service is always excellent, with plenty of staff present to answer questions or find items. I have also utilized carry-out [where a staff member brings my groceries to my car for me] and free delivery [where a staff member actually brought my groceries to my home]. Second, the location is really convenient for me and I like the free parking available in the lot off of Devon Avenue. Last, I like to patronize small businesses and I love being able to give back to the Rogers Park community by buying my groceries at a community fixture for the last 30 years! Highly recommend! TIP: You can get delicious items from Emma's Bagel Cafe & Tabour Grill here! I love being able to run in after those restaurants close to pick up a LoxLuLu or Yemenite Soup and Matbucha! read more

It's a beautiful store full of all your kosher needs. You walk in and you're immediately greeted with a smile and a "how are you?" They have everything you need from day to day, to Shabbos essentials, to pesach friendly foods. They have lovely selection so you can choose the right products for you. Their deliveries are timely and they bring it right into your house if you need some extra help. I have no complaints and I'm more than likely to shop there again! If you ever are confused or need help in the store, Kol Tuv has an amazing staff willing to answer any questions. The family that owns the store is delightful as well. Great grocery store. I highly recommend to people looking for kosher who don't want to go to Hungarian. Also, they have a bunch of hard-to-find/unusual products that you won't find in the bigger groceries, including Israeli items. They also have a much smaller sister-store on Touhy, called Kol Touhy. read more

On the positive side they have an extremely extensive inventory at pretty reasonable prices and have never not been able to find what I'm looking for. It's standard, nothing that blows you away but they have the basics. That said, I can't get over the interior. I'm not someone that puts a lot of stock in the decor of places I go to but it's really dilapidated inside to the point of falling apart and doesn't inspire much confidence in what you're buying, particularly the meat or the store itself. Based on this I would give it a 1+ or a low 2. I gave it a 3 to be nice, but it needs a lot of work in terms of updating the appearance inside and maybe a fresher inventory. read more

Kol Tuv is as ALL GOOD. I travel really far to go here because it is more than worth it. Besides an amazing selection, they are always willing to help or even order what they don't have. it is small and personal, like a corner grocery. We need to give these places our business because they feed our souls besides our stomachs. It may not be sparkling and fancy, but you are known inside here and you can find what you need. They will even carry it out to your car for you! read more

I ordered scrambled eggs with corned beef hash, hash browns and toast, then worked my way down to the hot bar where I added some macaroni and cheese and a knish. And THAT was the move. Everything was really good, but the mac and cheese and the knish were the stars of the entire meal. Manny's is famous for the gigantic deli sandwiches, but after today, I'm convinced the real adventure is working your way through that hot bar. The sides are where it's at. While I was waiting in line, one of the guys behind the counter noticed my Dave Matthews Band shirt and started talking music with me. On to the sandwich. The first thing I noticed was that the carver didn't pull a chunk out of a steam cabinet. They had a slicing machine running constantly forming a mound from which the carver grabbed a handful of corned beef, then a handful of pastrami, which had already been sliced and griddled to add to the corned beef. I asked about the smallest size side of chopped liver they could offer and he gave me a tiny chilled dose sized cup of liver pulled out of the fridge. So far I wasn't impressed. The chopped liver tasted very good but it was hand chopped and in large pieces with very little schmaltz. The sandwhich wasn't anything special. Not hot, not piled and the pickle was a kosher dill, not a half sour. I left half of my half sandwich, the pickle (except for the one bite), and even some chopped liver. For the cost of this average lunch , I would have rather eaten at my favorite deli in Atlanta and had tongue which wasn't even on the menu at Manny's.

This place is small and kind of like a hidden gem, hidden on devon. Yes this place has been here for a long time. Still so few know about the amazingness found within. The alcohol selection is small but when ever I ask the owner to find a bottle or that I have been having a hard time getting my hands on, he always seems to be able to find it for me. They have had many improvements over the years. The new ordering app is very easy to use and they deliver very fast. When I was in there yesterday I saw that they now carry fresh sushi. I am so excited about all of the great changes that will happen. read more
