Omg. Very delicious. Filling sandwich wrap. The shwafel wrap blew my mind. Light and fresh and delicious. My fiance liked the beef shawarma wrap: "I've never had beef seasoned like that before". Try it!

Very cool spot! One side is a little restaurant where you can walk right up to the counter and order some amazing food. Theres a good amount of tables to sit and enjoy the food, but we also saw a few people taking their orders to go. The plates were prepared quickly and were absolutely delicious! We ordered a meat combination plate to try a bit of everything, and it was a ton of food for a reasonable price. We were able to share 1 combo plate between two people! After eating you can walk right over into the connected store that has a huge selection of baked goods and groceries! We only briefly walked through the grocery to see what they had to offer. I cant wait to go back to do some actual grocery shopping here and try some of their other menu options very soon!

Came upon this treasure by accident. When we walked in, we were immediately taken with the charm and coziness of this market which included a deli and bakery. The refrigerators were well stocked with home made goodies like hummus, lentil soup, sauces and more. The bakery had a nice assortment of middle eastern delicacies.

Delicious Middle Eastern cafe in the middle of Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago. This wonderful café is adjoining a popular grocery store where you can get delicious fresh falafel, and gyro plate plates for a reasonable price . Full platter was about $17 and fed two people pretty comfortably for lunch . Food is quick to cook and staff is friendly and laid back atmosphere. #middleeastern #gyro #chicago

Was gonna get middle eastern food next door but it's closed so I got this one instead. Glad it's also pretty good. The wrap is not dry at all. The meat goes well with the slight sour yogurt like sauce inside Falafel is never my things but it's decent and not too dry Baklava is amazing! Have to try! So crispy and layers of flavor! Plus it's really cheap! Definitely visit if you can

Local restaurant/grocery store with a wide variety of premade food and ingredients. I come here commonly for the hand pies ($3 for one) and they are beyond worth the price. They have so many different kinds - lamb and potato, lentils, spinach and feta, triple cheese, artichoke and cheese and potato to name some of my favorites. They are densely packed with flavor, they are soy/sesame/peanut free and a good portion for the price. A few makes a great snack or lunch. The grocery store has many high quality ingredients - fresh cheeses, all types of dry bulk grains and beans, olive oils, canned goods, fresh nuts and dry fruit and more. The prices are reasonable for the goods too. The staff is helpful and friendly. I can't speak for the restaurant food but i intend on eating here sometime. This place is a staple to me and my girlfriend!

Ordered from here for pickup. They were pretty fast despite being busy when I got there to pick it up. The place was bigger than I expected, and a very casual sort of place. It seemed like most people just ordered at the counter and grabbed a table or took it to go. A few people were working on their laptops. It was an interesting vibe. I ordered the falafel plate, a piece of baklava, and the kufta wrap. The baklava was very sweet, but it was quite small so it wasn't overwhelming. My husband and I split it and it was a nice little treat to end the meal. My husband didn't really like the kufta wrap, though when I tried it I thought it was ok. A bit of a "fishy" flavor to it which I couldn't really identify as it was supposed to be beef and lamb, but not terrible. I did like the falafel plate. The portion size was good. Probably more than I needed for myself for a single meal, but not enough to save leftovers. The falafel itself had nice flavor and didn't suffer from being too dry like a lot of places' falafel. For the price it was a good deal, though we usually try to get takeout that can work for 2 meals. I would definitely go back and try some of their other items in the future.

Good quality middle eastern food at reasonable prices. It gave more grab-and-go than eat-in kind of vibes but there were a good amount of tables available. Service was not the friendliest but efficient and the food came out quickly. I ordered the veggie wrap, which consists of roasted eggplant, roasted cauliflower, lettuce, and tomato in a lavash-style toasted wrap. The texture of the wrap was lovely because it was a bit crisp on the outside. I enjoyed the filling too but I'm deducting a star because it was so incredibly greasy. Oil was literally dripping out of my wrap as I ate it. I'd definitely order something else if I came back.

Big and busy place acting as both a market and restaurant in Andersonville. It's okay to order something from the menu then walk around the market until you get called. Middle East Market is a place to get something to eat later, or if you would rather not wait, then order up front in the cafe and eat here. Has lots of favorites. The service is okay usually. After making it up Clark to Andersonville, we came in. It wasn't that busy but there was a line. They're kind of more like a market. Dining area is kind of cramped. Even so, try to get a few containers of things. It's about $5 for an item. We got the Falafel Wrap. Loaded with tons of stuff on it. There was garlic, Jerusalem salad, onions, pickles, and tahini. Also looking around the market, we found big bags of candy. There's also treats like halva. Good place for looking around and sampling Middle Eastern. It has some hard to find groceries. There's lots more including baked goods, salads, and about the only bad thing is there can be a long wait for service.

The rest of the store has the bakery and deli counters, and they have fresh meats if you like getting meaty. Also they have a stand to get fresh gelato. The prices are pretty good, and they had lots of cheap specials. Clean and organized with everything looking fresh. It's certainly got Indian products, but there's a whole lot more, and good prices. The sugar cane and the strawberry / watermelon were real standouts for us. Definitely worth checking out for both groceries but also to get some fresh fruit juices.

It was only AFTER that I found out that they have another location in Uptown, a mile from my house. Apparently they've been in the shopping center across from the Broadway post office for about four years now, but I never had a clue. I liked this location more not just because of the convenience factor of being in my neighborhood, but also because it's a lot more comfortable to shop. The aisles were much larger so you weren't squeezing by folks when trying to see all the goodies. The produce and fish/meat sections also seem much larger. So overall the store has a bigger footprint than the one in Chinatown. They also had merchandise at this store that I didn't see at the other, such as woks, bowls, and other such items. Parking is so-so. The parking lot itself isn't necessarily small, but there's a lot of businesses that share this lot and some of the spots are marked specifically for those businesses. For instance, the medical office here has about 10 spaces that are for their patients only. But given the location it's within a few blocks of the Wilson station, the Argyle station, and (when renovation is complete) the Lawrence station, as well as the bus lines, so there's lots of options for getting here if driving isn't your choice.

Their baba ghanoush is also creamier than others I've had, seems quite similar to their hummus, with a lot of tahini mixed in maybe?
