Rogers Park Provisions is a place I go frequently. This store has a thoughtful and well-curated selection of self-care items, home goods, cards, food, snacks, drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic)! The rewards program for frequent shoppers is good too. I really have enjoyed the candles I have gotten from here, as well as the Meredith Dairy cheese, Casamara Club herbal soda, and Sukker Sweet candies. Definitely check this place out. read more

I messaged Rogers Park Provisions on Monday 1/22/24 to see if they carried the delicious vegan artisanal cheese from Rebel Cheese in Austin, Texas. I got a response from the owner, Erik, the very next day, saying that he had placed an order which would arrive in a couple weeks. That is amazing customer service! Then yesterday, Thursday 1/25/24, just a few days later, I got a message from him that the vegan cheese had arrived. He put some aside for me and I picked it up this evening. I love this place! They carry a grapefruit rose wine and it's amazing. The staff are always so welcoming and knowledgeable. You have to check out their cheese selection. They have a few different type of goat cheeses to choose from. Their wine is incredible, and if you are ever unsure what to get ask the staff member on the floor. We also usually try a new spirit each time we go. The selection is unique and if there are local options they try to support local, which is great. read more

It's a little bit of a haul for me (I live down south in Edgewater Glen)...but it's always worth the effort to get up to Rogers Park Provisions (it's also ridiculously close to the Morse el stop if I'm being super lazy). Rogers Park Provisions always has something interesting on hand...something I haven't tried...but which ends up catching my eye. Lots of local stuff...neighborhood microbrews, Metropolis Coffee, Edgewater Candles, Jeni's Ice Cream, etc. I think my favorite thing currently in stock is the Stillhouse Spiced Cherry Whiskey...I'm totally addicted to it (although I do wish that they'd bring back the Mammoth Cherry Bounce someday...a boy can dream...). Basically, everything is super curated...it's all really good stuff...no duds. I also like the little micro-neighborhood there on Glenwood...really fun area...it's so weird, because Glenwood sort of turns into an alley...but it's filled with small outdoor spaces...really nice places just to hang out (like the adjoining and affiliated Rogers Park Social Club). The staff at Provisions has always been super nice and helpful to me...I've yet to have a bad experience (I try to go about once a month). A couple of commenters have noted that it's a little pricey...and I'd agree to that...but if you put yourself on the Provisions customer list, you end up getting email coupons all the time. I always apply a $5 or $10 discount whenever I visit...it basically ends up making my total bill really reasonable. I'm hopeful that Provisions will be selling me whiskey for many years to come. read more

My friend and I are having a picnic in the park and we saw Rogers Park Provisions just nearby it. One of my friends says that the store has a lot of good wine, beers, and other liquors. That is why we decided to visit the place before going home. The place is really beautiful, clean and organized. There were a lot of nice selection of local beers, everything needed for a booze, some fancy food and even cheeses. The staff in there was very kind and friendly. He is also knowledgeable on every items inside which is surprising because there were a lot of it. He helps us on choosing the best drinks and he has a lot of suggestions. I got a nice bottle of whiskey for my dad. My friend bought a lot different kinds of liquors. Hadn't been inside in a while and felt like wandering around. While their prices are a bit steep, I don't mind supporting local businesses, especially during the pandemic and one with such friendly people and that goes out of their way to stock local items. (Not everything is local, but many, many items are!) They have a nice selection of local beers, including now a few choices from Hailstorm Brewing, which makes me happy. I was also excited to notice a cute lil six-pack of Malort because a friend in another state was asking for some, and I wasn't looking forward to buying and sending a big bottle (especially since it's so awful so it's silly to send big bottles for the novelty of it all. Now I have five more for novelty purposes). And of course, the delightful selection of specialty foods and boozes and other Chicago-specific things, like stickers, t-shirts, housewares, etc. are so fun to look at, making this a great stop for gifts for friends both local and distant. read more

Haven't spent much time in RP for a while but I will def go to their Weds wine tastings. The owners put some serious skin in the game with quite sophisticated products - it truly a socially conscious general store for discerning sophisticates. Very discerning. You can get craft liquor, local cheeses, organic personal care products - Papersource-worthy cards and papers. The brands are all unique and hard to find. Nice friendly guy works there. I love this place! It's great to stop in for a picnic and get basically everything I'd need (snacks, drinks, dessert, surprise candy because it was there) or if I get a great drink at Rogers Park Social I can get components to make it at home from Provisions. I used to live around the corner and unfortunately moved about a mile away, so I don't get there nearly as often as I used to, but I still love it. The staff is super friendly but also don't really hover, so if I say I'm just browsing they let me browse, but if I say I need help finding something they'll always help. read more
