I've been coming here for a while now, and I'm always happy with my food. Everything is freshly baked and clearly made with care...you can really taste the difference. The service is always great. The owner is very kind and welcoming. One time I asked her about a juice I used to get that she didn't currently have in stock, and she told me she would order more, which I really appreciated. The ambiance is very cute, and the shop is located in the historic, preserved area of League City, which makes it even more charming. There isn't seating inside since it's mostly a grab-and-go spot, but there are nearby seating areas and cafés where you can sit and enjoy your food. Definitely give this place a try! read more

What a delight!! I asked Taylor, the owner, to just give me a huge box of anything she picked and everything was AMAZING. She put in an assortment of every flavor of the fruit kolaches. Every single one was fantastic, the dough is addicting. She added the ham and cheese and sausage kolaches, we couldn't stop eating. She also added a long pastry with (I think) raspberry filling and a little bit of frosting. I have no idea what it was but it was divine, I took a picture to make sure we get it again next time! Picked up an order from the Too Good To Go app, where you're supposed to get a variety of things, and found out I got just dinner rolls that taste like either there was way too much yeast put in, or it was over fermented. I've lived in League City for seventeen years and I'm sad to say this was my first time here. The kolaches are very fresh and taste wonderful. True Czech kolaches are not stuffed full of ingredients like you find at "factory" locations. The Kolache Bakery in League City makes them perfectly. Wow, they are delicious. Although I did not try them, I did notice they also had an abundance of cinnamon rolls and other treats. They all looked delicious. I will definitely be back soon to try others. Today I had a sausage and cheese kolache and a strawberry with cream cheese kolache. Both of them were wonderful. Look at my photos too. Bottom line - fantastic kolaches made fresh daily. After the original owner sold the business it went downhill. We heard there were new owners and it was good again. Kolache Bakery is a great option when seeking out a kolache. Light, fluffy and filled with goodness, these are a great way to start a day with a great breakfast. I first came across the wonder of a kolache in Mobile, Alabama and loved them at first bite. These are definitely a regional thing that exist along the Gulf Coast and it is a shame that their footprint is not bigger across the United States. Anytime I see a kolache, I have to get them. Yay!!! They are back open after taking a month and a half off! My husband made the trip down this morning and picked up a dozen of the fruit kolaches - actually, 4 cream cheese, 8 mixed fruit. Ahhh, little pillows of fluffy, yummy goodness. Nothing else like them. And this bakery makes the best in Houston. Not only are their kolaches the best, but they do something that separates the Real Deal from wannabees - they put on a sprinkle of the streusel topping. This is something I don't see with other bakeries. I consider a fruit kolache incomplete without it. Living with my Czech guardians (over 50 years ago), a few women made them, while others bought them - but they all had the sprinkle of streusel topping. This place is fantastic! Light fluffy, delicious kolache's. All the other places I've tried have dense, heavy kolaches, but this is the best, softest melt in your mouth rolls ever! Their sign on the inside says fluffier, not stuffier. When we were growing, they had a place located off of Bingle Road. It was a family tradition to go there and buy them by the dozen. Sad to report that the Kolache Bakery on Main St. In League City will be closing next month. The owner decided to retire and close the business after many years of making the best fruit and sausage kolaches anywhere around - we drive from Pasadena once every month or so for their delicious bakery treats. I have been coming here since we moved to League City 6 years ago. I was sad when the original ownership sold a couple years ago afraid it would change but I'm pleased to say the level of quality both in the food and the service have stayed true to its roots! It's not run by a Mother Daughter duo and they are both lovely. Jalapeño kolache is my favorite but the fruit filled kolaches and cinnamon rolls are great too! I had to update my original review. It's taken me a couple of years to go back (it's out of my way or I would have gone sooner). This time the poppyseed was spot on, as was everything. The breading on both the traditional Kolache's with fruit, cream cheese, and what I know as pigs-in-the-blanket with sausage, was fluffy, delicious, and simply perfect! It's hard to find a good poppyseed kolache in this part of Texas, but you can still find them here. Highly recommend, and I will drive out of my way in the future for these bad-boys. read more

I have had kolaches all over the city of Houston and the surrounding suburbs, this place has what none of the others have....an amazing selection of fruit kolaches! They even had the elusive and delicious poppy seed kolache. A true delicacy. If you have never had one, do yourself a favor...but you won't find them anywhere else in the city. They had every flavor of fruit kolache in quantity, an entire case full. I'm not going to say I had a cinnamon roll (my wife reads the reviews) but if I had, I would say it was out of this world good! Like a fluffy cloud of icing over heavenly sticky goodness. The meat Kolaches are absolutely melt in your mouth delicious. The key is the light, buttery bread.
