Breakfast tacos were delicious! Had the 24s. They even gave me the extra salsa I requested. I definitely recommend trying the tacos. Fresh tortillas too!! Heller! Definitely my new bfast taco spot!! Mexican cokes tie it alllll together!!!

Best breakfast tacos. Got the vegetarian egg and potato on corn tortillas, they were excellent! Red salsa is very spicy. Everything was freshly made to order. They serve breakfast all day and lunch offerings including donuts, kolaches, Mexican pastries and some spices and snacks.

I stopped by on my way to work to see their selection. My job does Taco Tuesday once a month so I ordered some bacon, egg, cheese, and potato tacos. They offer them in both flour and corn tortillas. I got both. I ended up with a flour tortilla taco and it was good. I had to add some salt but no big deal. Their salsa was also tasty. It was tomato based and it had a great smokey flavor. I also got some pan dulces that were also a hit. The guys that took my order were also super friendly. I'll definitely be back

The cookie was baked to soft perfection. I went with a friend who thankfully knew to join the waitlist about an hour before we planned to arrive, which made the wait very manageable. Had we not known that important little tip, we probably would've been waiting close to an hour. Overall, it was such a pleasant experience, and I'd definitely go back again.

Let me preface this review by stating that I have been to this establishment multiple times & had…read moreglowing, amazing service each time. However, my last experience with this establishment left a horrible taste in my mouth. Therefore, I am giving them an extra star for the previous experiences. On May 17th, 2026, my best friend and I had been looking forward to coming to Water Oak all day and had our taste buds set for the occasion. We were famished and had quite a day up until arriving. Upon entering the restaurant, we were very briefly greeted by the a Hispanic man who I assume is the manager and told that they were "no longer seating for the day". I glanced around and saw that every table inside WAS seated, however there were many tables outside that were empty. I asked about the patio stating that us where we preferred to sit anyway, and was met with that they were also not seating the patio at all for the rest of the day. However, there was a group of 3 women seated outside on the patio at that exact time. I didn't say anything, simply turned and left. After having "one of those days" hashing out something so minute with a person who clearly didn't want us in their place of business was not something I was about to do. Keep in mind, we came on a Sunday afternoon. Prime brunch time. We arrived at the restaurant around 2:30PM, and their website says they don't close until 4PM. I am a biracial black woman and my friend is white. I noticed a significant amount of White and Latino patrons, but a shocking lack of Black people. With Houston having one of the most diverse populations in the US, it is almost impossible not to see at least one individual of each ethnicity in a place at any given time. I am definitely not one that likes to pull the race card, because oftentimes that is not the issue. However, as someone who is familiar with the service industry I understand Sundays can be extremely overwhelming. And I am cognizant that not everything is that serious. But, I am also aware that a lot of people in the industry discriminate against people of color, with stigmas that we don't leave enough gratuity or we "don't fit the vibe of their establishment". And those 3 women seated on the patio? All White. After reading recent reviews, it seems that management is discriminating against people of color, more specifically Black folks. This is an extremely disheartening and sickening realization to make, seeing as I have given well over $1,000 worth of my money here but also enjoyed many meals without issue. To management: It breaks my heart to have to write this review and to be honest, I wouldn't have written it if I hadn't seen others posting about similar experiences in addition to also feeling discriminated against. I highly suggest that if you are "not seating" after a specific time, you announce this via social media or alert potential patrons with a sign or something of the sort. & obviously, there is such an issue with treatment towards POC that it is a noteworthy problem via your Google & Yelp reviews. You will have a much bigger fish to fry on your hands if you continue to let this issue go on unrectified. I would be willing to return if I felt things were to be changed for the better in the future! Hopefully this review sparks a much needed conversation and brings attention to an area which needs work.

First, I have to give a huge shoutout to our waitress. I wish I had gotten her name because she was absolutely delightful! She was so personable, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. To drink, I ordered the Rejuvenate for a little morning pick-me-up, and it was refreshing and just what I needed. For my meal, I had the Bravocado Toast, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Our waitress also insisted we try her favorite pancake--it came topped with candied walnuts (and another topping I can't quite remember!), and I'm so glad she did. I'm typically a waffle girl, but this pancake may have converted me! It was incredibly fluffy, light, and perfectly balanced--not overly sweet, which I really appreciated. Overall, this was an excellent breakfast experience from the food to the outstanding service. If you're in the area and looking for a great breakfast or brunch spot, Snooze A.M. Eatery is definitely worth checking out.

The ambiance was nice as we walked in, and after being quickly seated next to a window, the atmosphere was nice. They did end up covering the window before we started eating, and the little bulb way above us and candle did not really provide light enough for us to eat (I get it is mood lighting, but I like seeing what I eat). The food was really solid, though. A few times I've been in the past it was all too salty, but this time around it was much better. I got the Farm Bird, and it was very juicy and had a very nice crunch. The Fish and Chips were nice and flaky, while the Pork Chop was extremely juicy and rich. The shrimp in the rigatoni was definitely oversalted, as well as the broccolini greens in the pork chop dish. The appetizers we got (Brussels Sprouts and Spinach Artichoke Dip) were both okay, though I prefer garlic bread to the chip for the dip and the sprouts were a little one note. The whiskey cake itself was very good, though I recommend only one plate for a group of 6 or less because of how rich it is, especially if you get the ice cream addition. Overall a very surprising experience, and while it carries a heavy price tag, it is absolutely a good choice if you're looking for a nicer meal out here.

I ended up ordering their Farm Stand which is a bagel sandwich that has an egg patty, American cheese, and bacon. I had that with their Cuban Latte with soy milk and vanilla. My friend ordered their Avocado Toast, crushed avocado, Pico, cream cheese, and topped with a crumbled/crushed hard boiled egg on your choice of toast, she had that with a Cuban Latte as well with caramel. Everything tasted good! The only complaint I had was that the Latte wasn't sweet enough for me so we had to add sweetener, but the gentleman who made our order said we could ask them to make it sweeter next time when we put in our order that way it blends better with the coffee. They also offer baked goods such as mini donuts, macarons, cheesecake bites, mini cinnamon rolls, and more! I thought okay a new room no big deal, accidents happen. Until the new room's toilet was clogged and running loud the entire time upon arrival. You could hear it running from the elevator ... and I was essentially at the end of the hallway. I was told they have old plumbing so again I was like whatever. Then the pool wasn't clean in any capacity and was being drained during my stay, which wasn't stated anywhere in the lobby or online. It's texas so swim season can start when the humidity turns on during my stay it was 84 -87 degrees both days perfect swim weather. Next the pool / lounge area was locked entirely so we couldn't even fish next to the deck or the grass area near by without begging a worker to let us walk through. The first night I tried taking a shower and the shower / water spout broke off entirely. There was also no bathtub stopper so I couldn't take a bath, I had to crouch down like an animal and use the bath water to give myself a shower in that fashion. I kept looking on the bright side which is that this place is about to be torn down anyways and decided to go downstairs for some complimentary tea. After drinking a cup I felt nauseous and decided to check the ingredients on the tea packet only to find it was expired in 2013. I do not recommend this hotel at all, I got overcharged there was no fitted sheet on either of the 2 room's beds and it felt old and run down.
