The first time I came here was for a massage which was literal magic for my migraine. I've never had a migraine cured so quickly and appreciated the last minute accommodation. I have also been here about five times to do the 30 minute infrared sauna session. It's super easy to come and sweat it out for 30 minutes and leave. They leave you tons of water and towels, so you have everything you need to detox and I also love that there's a very long phone charger. If you need to detox come to Kollectiv, you won't regret it. Don't go here. Rude staff. My wife traveled over an hour to get there and hit traffic. She emailed and said she was running late and did not receive a response. When she arrived 11 minutes late, she could not be seen and had to leave. Every other wellness destination in the city that we have been to (and that is a lot since the cancer diagnosis - way to feel good and happy) has always been kind, welcoming, and upholds a 15 minute grace period. Mind you, we're very rarely late, but at all other places I've frequented, i am always met with warmth and kindness and that behavior was not displayed at Kollectiv. Given the amount of competition that exists in the wellness space, there's no need to go somewhere that doesn't immediately display compassion or good customer service. Go somewhere else. read more

I am only reviewing the food here which is listed on ubereats. I've never written a review for a food place before but I feel like I have to in this case. Extreme false advertising on Uber eats. Shows a photo of a large açaí bowl which looks normal and fresh for 8 dollars. When I received it, it was a small 6oz pre made jar. Tasted horrible. Also they advertise a "cold brew coffee tower" for 8 dollars. The tower was at most 8 ounces? Get out of here!! My 50 dollar order which I expected to feed 3 of us, barely was enough for 1 person. I would never recommend the food to anyone and I think this company has very dishonest advertising on ubereats. I've been ordering delivery in MASSIVE size in manhattan for the last 8 years and this is by far my most disappointing order EVER!!! read more

Unsafe, unprofessional & disorganized. This kind of place should be closed down. Booked four services left after first one after numerous red flags. The individual who opened the door for me was the cleaner and spoke zero english. The issue here is that it was confusing on what I was doing, where to put my belongings and what the spa schedule would look like. There were absolutely no other people (workers or costumers) in the facility when I entered the property. This was 10AM on a Friday. As this was my first time here, it felt confusing and disorganized. Sauna had dirty towels and slippers with wooden slots coming off sauna walls. I was uncomfortable the entire time! Worst costumer service I have ever encountered at a spa, especially Ricardo. He gave me old socks and men's size 11 crocs to wear in the cryobody, didn't explain why these were needed. It seemed like He had no understanding of cyrobody service and laughed at me when I asked any questions. Basically no privacy as well, most services are out in the open and as a young lady in her underwear (their recommendation) I felt completely unsafe around their staff. Safety is NOT a priority and neither is hygiene. As I said I left early because it was a joke and didn't want to get injured. Felt gross the entire time, wish there was more regulation to stop these types of facilities. Do not be fooled by pictures or other five star reviews, it is not a zen experience. read more

I had Hanoi as my masseur. I moved to NYC Aug. 2019 and i've been looking for my massage "spot" ever since and let me tell you this is my SPOT!!! I was soo impressed with the fact that after my massage he reminded me to breathe. He said everything was fine but he told me that I would forget to breathe a lot because of all the stress which is true. I really appreciate the intent and mindfulness in this business. The upstairs cafe is stocked with green juice and fare they make on-premises (I really love the wrap: all raw- so much green- the cashew cream is delish) + they offer amazing tea infusions and hot beverage blends. The hot chocolate blend is DIVINE. I also love that they make their own almond milk, which is an option to use in case you don't want the boxed almond milk. Then, of course, there are the incredible tinctures, candles, crystals, incense, angel cards, a sprinkling of natural beauty products, and CBD galore. Downstairs is wellness mecca - Higher Dose infrared saunas, NutriDrip (Vitamin IVs), Theraphi (book a session and thank me later), facials, and the like. The spa downstairs offered infrared light therapy, but it was in a sauna where we weren't allowed to lower the heat "because it needed to be hot for the next client". This place is my East Village oasis. I actually can't believe this place doesn't have more reviews . But I'm kind of glad, because I hope it stays as chill and authentic as it is right now forever... Everyone who works here is so sweet and down to earth, which is super refreshing in the NYC wellness scene. The vibes are genuine and positive. There's an apothecary on the main floor (Alchemist's Kitchen) where you can learn more about what herbs and tinctures are right for you, and the cafe has the MOST delicious beverages like elixirs and healthier coffees that are SO delicious and a nice change from the sugar-filled options usually available. Last week I had my first cryofacial in the spa downstairs which was the most noticeably-different treatment I think I've ever gotten. After texting with someone called Angel at Kollectiv the day before my appointment to confirm my appointment time the following day. I turned up for my appointment on Friday morning and no one bothered to show up for my appointment!!!. No one knew how to get hold of anyone at kyro so after wasting all morning to get across town for my appointment. Waiting almost 30 minutes I realized they are a completely unprofessional company that can't even remember or bother to show up for their booked appointments.
