STAY AWAY. I had what was easily the worst massage of my life here. Earlier in the day, I specifically called and requested Tony. I was told that wouldn't be a problem. When I arrived for my 9 PM appointment, a woman walked into the room instead. I asked if Tony was available, and she responded with something I couldn't understand before immediately beginning the massage by wrapping my head in a towel with the force of someone trying to start a lawn mower. I genuinely thought my earrings were about to be ripped out of my ears. I asked her within the first 5m to go softer, but the pressure wasn't even the main issue - it felt like she wasn't actually working on my muscles. Somehow she managed to spend an hour pounding on bones I didn't even know could be massaged, including my tailbone and elbows. To be fair, even if she had reduced the pressure, she was still working all the wrong places. The entire massage felt less like bodywork and more like being attacked by a hundred tiny crabs while an angry toddler threw bricks at me. I spent the session counting down the minutes until it was over. Every time she finished one body part, I felt relieved simply because that meant we were closer to being done. All the movements weren't slow and calm; they were quick, frightening, and aggressive. I had hot stones as a part of my treatment, but her carelessness throughout the regular massage portion made me terrified of what the hot stones were going to be like (thankfully, they were a normal hot stone temperature). I was visibly uncomfortable the entire time - wincing, flinching, and even making noises because the massage hurt. I've never spent an entire massage staring at the clock and mentally calculating how much longer I had to survive. Usually massages make you lose track of time. This one made every minute feel like an hour. I left feeling more stressed and sore than when I arrived. I've had many massages over the years, and this was by far the most uncomfortable, painful, and disappointing one I've ever received. The fact that I specifically requested a particular therapist, was told that request would be honored, and then received a completely different therapist only made the experience worse. Absolutely amazing experience! I always have tension on my neck shoulders and back. The lady was breaking the knots on my muscles. You can ask for lighter pressure as well. They will tailor the massage to your needs. The room is clean but it's a little small. Convenient location to get to: right out side of L or 3 mins walk from NQRW union square. The first time experience:I called 10 minutes before visiting, they said it's okay to do 1 hr foot massage. But during the massage, they asked me if I can change to 30 mins because "we are super busy tonight." I don't want to give them hard time so I compromised. The second time: I called to make an appointment with a specific masseuse, the lady on the phone said yes to me again, unfortunately, same thing happened. After 30 minutes, my masseuse told me she has to leave to serve the other walk in customer, so the lady on the counter took over the rest part. I was like, is this because I can speak Chinese so they took advantage of me as I have to understand and accept all their problems? Bad experience. I had been here once before. Had a strong one hour massage that left me sore but better 24 hours later. The second time, however, despite telling Kim to be more gentle at least 7 times, she would consistently dig way way too deep. And she wasn't paying attention to the time or the rest of my body. A real professional understands that as you release one area, you go back over the others. So she ended kind of abruptly without checking in the rest of the spots after digging super deeply. I woke up this morning with bruises on my shoulders - and I do physical labor for my profession. Instead of helping me, she actually set me further back than I was before the massage. Definitely not going back. Only reason it's not one star is because the first one was passable. read more

I do not leave bad reviews as a practice, especially during Covid, but I just spent the entire night wide awake and in pain from what happened today. I asked them repeatedly to back off and lighten up as did my girlfriend. They laughed and made fun of us like they always do and kept on doing what they were doing. This is the 2nd time I have left this place with bruises and the only reason I went back was because my friend asked me to go. I understand if I am just sensitive, but when I ask you repeatedly to ease up, maybe listen. We used to come here all the rime and it makes me sad that this is now what they have turned into.
