Wow, what a cool place! I've never seen anything like it. They had so many different seating areas…read moreincluding an outdoor patio, a room with picnic tables and vintage cars, a bar area with high tops and open windows, and a fourth section with picnic tables, stage and bar. Since Pride Bingo was going on in the latter, we chose a spot there. Service was outstanding the entire evening! They had plenty of staff who were actively busing tables and who were available if we wanted additional drinks. Being vegan, I ordered the nachos and warm pretzels. Both were absolutely delicious! Bingo night was fun. They had fun interesting prizes for each game as well as a raffle at the end for $100.

It's spacious and a super cool venue, which was used for my daughter's high school fundraiser last weekend. I visited Double Clutch twice within one week. The first was a meeting held at the venue right before the event where everyone got to enjoy some beer (except those of us who don't love beer and opted for water) and some of the food that would be served at the event the following weekend. I munched on some turnbuckle pretzels, fried buffalo bites and cauli wings- all were pretty good! A few days later we sold out with a 300 person event, although honestly we could have fit way more in the space because there was plenty of room to move around. The band Go Ask Your Mum was playing lots of fun 80s and 90s hits, there was a buffet of the food we had tried a few days beforehand and the bar was busy. I opted for wine, which was good. The acoustics here aren't great, which i noticed during the meeting and during the event. The band was fun to listen to, but i could hardly hear anyone i was speaking to. But that's really my only complaint since it's a great space!

Dear Vegetarians, I…read morewas hungry for a veggie burger and fries. In my haste, I misread the web menu as having a mushroom/swiss cheese housemade veggie burger. Upon arrival, I realized any of their beef burgers could be substituted with a Beyond burger (which I accepted in this lost era of *Big Plant-based Burger*). Unfortunately, they UP-charged $6 for Beyond burgers, but I (again mistakenly) assumed this meant for 2 patties, like they emphasize for their meat burgers. In my hunger I accepted this high price. But then on the receipt I saw I was UP-charged $8 for 1 Beyond patty. [A quick search says Whole Foods sells Beyond burgers for $8 for 2 patties. Therefore, surely there is a business option that lowers this price.] Good luck out there and beware of Beyond pricing. ~~~~~ Beyond this Vegetarian price scandal, I enjoyed myself: chill and attentive staff, cute patio, yum fries and dijon aioli! Dear R Public House: Please consider vegetarians and offer a housemade veggie burger, or find a way to cut the cost of store patties. At the very least, make sure the menu price matches receipt price. Thanks in advance, I do want to return! But for now will be sticking to only drafts.

They also have a great selection of local brews and cocktails. The staff is very friendly and this is a great pre or post location if you're attending a Northwestern game. I live nearby, and have been going to Bluestone for 10 months. Each and every time I would go--the…read moreservice just gets worse, Worse, WORSE...to the point of completely unacceptable (today). I sat at the bar, did not get so much as an icewater, let alone any eye contact, or even any acknowledgement that I have a pulse; I am at your bar; and at some point in time, down the line--I actually might want a MENU--which I had to personally ask for--over 20 minutes after seating myself. There were four workers on their staff, behind the bar. They did not seem to be doing much (of anything). I had to personally ask for my water refill, each and every time. The service is so completely slow and incompetent, I had to cancel an order and leave--it took so long, and I was having diabetes problems--still, however, for the price they try to charge for their drinks on tap, and the price they try to charge for their overrated (at best) food; the "bar talent" and/or professionalism/efficiency of their staff, from top to bottom--is considerably lacking. My experience at Bluestone is worse, Worse, WORSE--each and every following time I make the (poor) decision to go. I really wish Central and Prairie had other bars, with better culture, better professionals, and better "bar talent"--because a place like Bluestone would be GONE in FIVE MONTHS. As I checked out today, one of the bartenders, a young African-American male--made it a point--to tell me "he was giving me a great deal on my tab; half price off my second beer." There is a problem, though--I only ordered, and drank, one beer. He was clearly embarrassed (as he should be), when I explained this to him, and then he 1)stared me down, and 2) threatened me. That is a walking definition of U N P R O F E S S I O N A L. I will happily drive across the North Shore--than walk 200 yards to Bluestone. The food is decent. The beer on tap is solid...but the Glaring, overall lack of Bar Talent, along with the piss-poor and UNPROFESSIONAL service--I just...I can't...I can not, in good conscience--bring myself to ever go back there, again. I am 46 years old, and have worked in the restaurant/bar industry for 30 of them... It is "Amateur Hour" at Bluestone, every moment of every day. They do not even look at you (customers). Totally unaware, spaced-out, not-at-all focused...Not just (anybody) can be a decent bartender--it kind of helps to be somewhat "sharp", somewhat "alert", be somewhat cordial, friendly, or amiable...Nope! NONE of that, at Bluestone. What a waste--of perfectly-good real estate--in an otherwise beautiful part of Evanston. Bluestone is a STAIN on the Community.

Molly was wonderful to work with--organized, responsive, and genuinely invested in making sure everything went smoothly. The second-floor party space is fantastic. It feels private and perfect for gatherings, with its own bar and restrooms, which made hosting incredibly convenient. (The only thing to note is that the space is accessible by stairs only.) We were also able to stream a slideshow at no additional cost and play our teens' Spotify playlist, which added such a fun and personal touch to the event. The food was a huge hit--guests couldn't stop talking about the Detroit-style pizza, chopped salad, and chicken wings. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. A special shoutout to Steve, our bartender, who took excellent care of us throughout the event. His attentiveness and friendly service really elevated the entire experience. If you're looking for a venue to host a party or special event, I highly recommend Firehouse Grill. They made everything easy, seamless, and memorable.

The pretzel, while huge, was literally coated in salt to the degree it was inedible. The cheese sauce that came with it was grainy, separated, and terrible. The chicken quesadilla had completely different ingredients than the menu, and it seemed like they just threw it together. Never again. If I could give zero stars, I would.
