First experience with any form of Escape the X. We did the robbery that changed the world. We had a total of 6 people. Very elaborate and well designed. This is my first time to experience an escape the room quest and I have to say my time at Komanata was beyond amazing!!! Definitely keeps you on your toes every step of the way. The puzzle solving here gives me the same feeling as when I play any Zelda game series. It is a superb group activity to do with friends. As a veteran of room escapes, I can say that this is the greatest introductory escape room we've ever done, and the best production out of all of them so far. The room was a little easy for our experienced team, as we got out in a little over 30 minutes, but for people who have never done one before, this is the one that will get you hooked. This is a great idea for people who know how to follow instructions. I went in a group of 5 and it felt like they were going to cut us up and eat us like in a horror movie because they take your cell phones. DO NOT kick down the door. You will lose. Have patience. Try to enjoy. The russian ladies are nice but they got upset when i kicked down the door. Try this if you want but be prepared to go through a whole shady corridor. read more

This was a once in a lifetime experience! I really didn't know what to expect and was completely baffled for a few minutes. I went with my boyfriend and his sister and it took us 55 minutes to escape. It was the most fun and thrilling thing I've ever had to do that wasn't an amusement park ride,...and this is better because the adrenaline kick stays with you all day! They did a great job at the Saint Angelo's Castle, the set-up is great and I would recommend this to anyone and everyone who would like a a real-life good mystery. Needless to say, we are planning our next adventure, we are thinking of doing Boxed Up next and cannot wait for 1408! ;) Also, thank to you Oksana for helping me with the booking because the phone system was down. This was a great experience. 5 of us came here for my birthday and it was so much fun. It was enough of a challenge to keep us all involved, entertained and having fun. We did make it out before time was up but it took some brain power and we had to work cooperatively. Thought the costumes were hokey until we got into the game. I'd do this again! This place was definitely great, I didn't expect it to be so suspenseful. They first put you in robes and a hood which makes you really feel into it. Definitely a great experience and worth the trip. Difficult but not TOO difficult, loved the historical bent, and definitely going to try one of the other scenarios. clues/ challenges were varied, and the experience kept us very engaged and immersed. We came here after completing all of the Komnata Manhattan rooms (which are AMAZING) and weren't disappointed. We started at the 104 West Street location and did Doctor Frankenstein and Hex of the Chinese Jewelry Box, then moved on to the 67 West Street location for Joker's Cafe and Bullets and Broken Hearts. These rooms are the BEST in NYC, hands down - and we've done dozens. Also, shout out to Chris at 67 West - he was one of the best game masters we've worked with! read more

Great Room Escape! Challenging and so much fun! Great sets, puzzles, costumes and accessories. David was a great host offering just the right amount of support. Super fun and immersive. A group of friends and I did the room challenge on 1/29. We loved it and would highly recommend this one. The puzzles were thought provoking but not impossible for the average room escapee. The room was well crafted and small detailed touches really made this experience stand out. My group was small (2 people), but we were able to get things going in a little over 40 minutes.
