There's both stairs and elevators that you can take to the 2nd floor but we took the elevator. After we checked in and signed waivers, the staff helped us set up in one of the VR spaces. There are benches to sit on and small lockers to store your stuff. The staff taught us how to use the controls and also made sure our VR headsets were comfortable before starting the game. I wore my glasses and they fit just fine inside the headset. All headsets and controls were in great condition too. It was such a fun experience! We played the combo mode which is their newest option where it has a mix of both puzzles and shooting. The shooting part was a bit tiring for me. It was wave after wave of aliens to shoot and my hand got really tired by the end from having to pull the trigger constantly. I wish there were more than 12 bullets in the weapon as I constantly had to keep reloading and it was just two of us shooting. I think if your group is bigger you'll be able to defeat the aliens faster. It was quite a workout so be sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes! I definitely want to return and try out the escape room option. There are two bathrooms as well as a water fountain with a water filter so you can stay hydrated while playing. read more

This place is incredible, I had the time of my life in here with about 8 of my coworkers! We played zombies and my friends were screaming with joy and laughter with the crazy ass zombies running and jumping on us lmaooo! It was definitely lit, I highly recommend this place! Amazing and fun experience! I went with a group of friends, 6 of us, and we did the Zombie mode which is called "Viral". Fun, engaging, immersive, and just an overall great time. Amazing and kind staff. Not sure of the gentleman's name but some members of my group were late and he was really understanding and kind and was able to do some switching around to make accommodation for our time slot. He explained directions really well and the game also explains as you play. Afterwards they send you a report on player scores and pictures which was awesome. I have never done VR gaming so this was such a great place to experience for the first time. Overall 10/10 experience and I will definitely be coming back. read more

Super cool VR experience - the place is on the top of some long stairs so you do have to go up quite a few flights, but the experience is worth it! We did the shooting VR experience and it was really nice to have a lot of different types of play. TBH the co-op part was a bit boring and easy - since there were a lot of powerups and the enemies were all fairly similar in terms of gameplay. The PvP part was super fun though since me and my partner were super competitive people and this part just tickled the competitive side of me a lot - super fun to be ducking behind the fake walls and see the other side go up and down and perspectives shifting to make it all feel like we were in a different dimension. Overall a solid VR experience, very high quality game and want to try the other one next time! read more

This was a really fun experience for us on our recent trip to NYC. We made our reservations online for an 11 am slot (their earliest). You will need to walk up 3 narrow flights of stairs, but once you arrive there is a comfy sofa to rest if needed and a touch screen to enter your information and sign waivers. This place is different from other VR centers in that you are the only participants at a given time. My family has done a Star Wars VR game in LA several years ago which was fun, but I remember the headset being very heavy and it was cumbersome and restrictive having to wear a heavy vest just to have the experience of being shot at. At Tidal Force the headset is much lighter and even after two hours it wasn't an issue at all. Just the headset and controllers on each hand and you are ready to start! We did the Escape Room/Tidal Force which we finished in 41 minutes. I don't know if this a respectable time, but it was SO MUCH FUN! Words can't really express how awesome the experience was. At times you are on a conveyer belt or an elevator being transported to different locations on your ship and it really feels like you are in motion! I really loved this option of solving puzzles in a VR setting in addition to just shooting at things. Space Defense (shooting at aliens) was hard but in our defense half the team (the adult half) don't normally play video games. It was still a lot of fun and a great time for the family. I would definitely recommend Tidal Force VR if you are looking for a fun VR experience! read more

I went with my family and boyfriend! We had a blast ! It was so much fun. The staff were very helpful and answered all of our questions. In the middle of the game i was sweating because the game was so immersive and thrilling. A staff member came to ask us if we would like her to turn the AC on and she did. They were nice enough to let us play VIRAL before it came out. The creativity, originality and visuals were so awesome! It was worth driving through the rain from Long Island. Also they were super nice to call and leave a voicemail to let us know one of us left our book bag. They held onto it for hours until we came back to retrieve it. That was so kind of them to do that. I am writing a review because I found this VR experience AMAZING. I went there for my birthday, we were 5 (you can be up to 6 in one game), and we did the game that has a mix of puzzle-solving (think escape game) and aliens-shooting. I should note that most of us were not big video games player --- quite the opposite --- but WE ALL LOVED IT! Both male and female participants. It is incredibly immersive, you feel like you're going all around this big spaceship doing stuff while in fact in real life you're just going circles in some Manhattan space. We spent the first ten minutes throwing virtual pizza boxes at each other (this wasn't the mission at all) and we were LAUGHING like twelve-year-olds... (note: I am more than 3 times 12). The fact that it's multiplayer and you can interact with your friends in this virtual environment makes it all the more immersive and incredibly fun. We were all completely amazed and I couldn't recommend it enough! I'm very glad I picked this for my birthday. We all went for drinks and dinner after that. Oh also, we played for about 45-50 minutes, and none of us got dizzy or nauseous (I tried a PlayStation VR thing once and I was a bit seasick after ~25 minutes. But here not at all) My only regret is that I wish I had set up an iPhone recording us in real life, so that we could see how absurd our behavior probably was when seen not in the VR environment... They have water and sell a few cold sodas too. read more

This was SO CRAZY FUN. We did the escape room with a group of 4. We chose this place over VR World because their reviews were bad and I'm so glad we did. The owner is a nice guy and runs everything efficiently. We've done a ton of escape rooms and a couple other VR experiences, but this was the best out of them all. The graphics were amazing and the game operated smoothly. I was really impressed with how easy it was to interact with objects in the game - I can imagine it would have been really frustrating if the game was glitchy, but that wasn't the case. I also liked that the VR equipment wasn't huge and bulky. I'm a weak person and it was fine for me. We didn't finish the escape room, but we'll be back to try again! And another time after that to do the shooting game. This is def our new go-to activity for whenever we're in the city. read more

Super fun to go with a group of friends! Highly recommend booking a 2 hour session so you can experience multiple game types. We did an escape room mission and then played a few rounds of shooting alien drones (and at each other lol). It's such an immersive experience. After we went home, I was thinking about our mission to "save the space ship" and my brain is legit convinced I picked up canisters of chemicals to repair our engine rather than it was just me bumbling around in a room pretending to pick up objects that don't exist.
