I brought my computer in after trying a DIY GPU upgrade with a refurbished card from eBay that just wouldn't work. After seeing all the 5-star reviews, I decided to bring it to Jose -- and I'm glad I did. He tested the GPU on two different systems, updated the BIOS to the latest version, and confirmed the card itself was bad. During this process, he also discovered a cooling pump issue that could have caused serious problems later. Jose helped me order a new pump, installed it, thoroughly cleaned years of dust from my system, reassembled everything carefully, and kept me informed every step of the way. We communicated over multiple days, and he was always easy to reach by text, very responsive, and extremely attentive. What really sets Jose apart is that he explains everything he's doing. You can stand there and watch him work, ask questions, and actually learn. He also gave me great tips for maintaining my system going forward. With all the time, effort, testing, cleaning, upgrades, and communication involved, he charged only $85 for the service -- which is incredibly reasonable. I came in October 7, 2025 for a diagnosis on my gaming PC. It was having issues where the frames were choppy at high temperatures. I requested a time and date through the phone the day before, and told me to bring it in the next day. I Brought in my PC and they had it done the next day. They updated some stuff I neglected to update, cleaned the hardware, and installed an additional fan. Jose was very transparent and knowledgeable. They gave me a very reasonable price for the service! Will definitely come in the future for upgrades! They sold me a stolen computer. They wiped it and filled it with illegally pirated software, turned it into a Hackintosh, and tried to hide the fact that it was STOLEN from the ROWLAND UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT. I stupidly trusted them so when the computer looked good at a cursory glance, I took it home. It took four days to remove all the junk they had installed on it. I had to reinstall the operating system from a bootable USB because it was so far gone. Once I removed all their pirated software, it was loud and clear that this was a stolen device. Every time the computer turns on it tries to connect to "Rowland Unified School District." When computers are sold legitimately, they are not held under management of a school board. Accidentally found this place on my way to buy a chicken sandwich from Popeyes. I already had an existing problem with my computer at home so stopped by and asked if they can fix it. Jose and his wife seemed very knowledgeable about computers so I came back and dropped them off my computer. A day later it was fixed. I had a virus on my computer that they were able to fix. This is a small single family business. I got my hp laptop fixed here back in February. Upon picking it up, I was told that there was a warranty on the cable, and if I was experiencing any problems with the screen display to take it back in and they would fix it free of charge. A couple weeks later, I brought my laptop in because there was a problem with the screen, the screen was flickering like a tv screen with a bad signal. I dropped off my laptop a little before noon on a weekday. I was told I would get a diagnosis within an hour. FOUR HOURS LATER, I called the store because I still haven't received an update. I was told that they were still not sure what the problem was, but that they would give me a call back. about 40 minutes later I received a call back from the repair guy saying he still needs more time with it and that Wendy (the receptionist/his wife??) would give me a call back. Finally at around 8:40pm, thats right, 8:40, I received a update. I was told that the charger stopped charging when they were working on the laptop, they were looking for a charger that had the same voltage as mine to try to charge it. Wendy continued talking about the charger and how she thought it was so strange, the repair technician has seen nothing like this before in the 10 or 15 years they've been working in the industry.She mentioned the office hours in case I wanted to pick up the laptop, but that they were interested in keeping the laptop a little longer to try to figure out what was wrong. I stopped by the store a couple days later to be told that my laptop died when they were working on it, according to the repair guy; "it was bound to happen and it happened to be on our watch, I don't know what to tell you" The only plus about this experience was that they transferred the contents of my hard drive for me. This was a frustrating experience for me, I wished they weren't beating around the bush about the charger not working when in fact the laptop just broke. A+ Raiting! I found this spot on Facebook on EL Monte city happenings. My Toshiba Satellite laptop screen wasn't turning on and had been like that for a while. I took it to Jose and he diagnosed the problem pretty fast. Turns out I had a bunch of oxidation on the board and he showed me pictures. So he gave it some love and got it working again. My laptop looked brand new he cleaned it inside and out and gave me a fair price. We got to talking and Jose has been doing this a while and knows his shit. We also got to talking about how some ppl have been putting false negative reviews about his business and some coming from his competitors! ppl bringing in broken laptops and saying he broke it.
