Today I ordered one of each Asada, Pollo, and Carnitas. I have a favorite but I couldn't remember why the others fell short to I ordered a variety to remember. This is food truck parked behind Valley Wide Country Store. They have limited hours. The service has always been friendly and quick. They give you a buzzer thing so you can wait in your car (great when less than ideal weather). Traditional double corn tortillas for street tacos, but theirs holds up well, and I can usually get away with ditching the second tortilla. Cilantro and onions are FINELY chopped, which I like personally. Your styrofoam plate comes covered in foil and they include a couple of decent absorbent napkins, not the super cheap ones. Green salsa is one the side. Asada: Diced pieces that have a good taste but seem dry to me. Pollo: Although there was moisture, the taste was "dry" if that makes sense. Saving the best for last, Carnitas: my favorite, very moist, very flavorful, it does have a little unavoidable grease. Three tacos for $9.00. Filled this gal up! One suggestion, a small portable picnic table would be nice, not seating for everyone, just one table.

Pork is so easy to cook and get juicy delicious meat, but these were the driest carnitas I have ever had. Seriously. Bad batch? I did notice a food trailer. Not sure if that the right word, but it didn't have four wheels, so it's not a food truck per se. They offered pizza, but just regular pizza, Detroit Style Pizza. I've never experienced Detroit Style Pizza and didn't even why they call it Detroit Style. For those that don't know, here's the definition, "Detroit-style pizza is a rectangular pan pizza featuring a thick, chewy, focaccia-like crust, Wisconsin brick cheese spread all the way to the edges for a crispy caramelized crust, and thick tomato sauce piped or spooned in stripes directly on top of the cheese and toppings." I spoke with a young man and he helped me navigate the menu until I found a possible option. Veggie Pizza I like pineapple but not on my pizza. Yeah, I know, I'm going to lose some Yelp followers and friends, it is what it is. I also like Basil but not on this type of pizza. Here came the dilemma. They didn't have any vegan cheese which means I was going to have to deal with the consequences of consuming cheese. With Detroit Style, there's a lot of cheese, but I explained my dilemma and they said they could make my pizza with light or easy cheese. Ok. ok. I throw caution to the smokey wind and said, 'Sure' I was given a buzzer and went back inside to have some beer. About 15 minutes later, the buzzer did its thing, and I went to pick up my veggie Detroit Style Pizza. I've seen a lot of pizzas. Matter of fact, I've attended and managed a booth of vegan cheese the International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas several times. This pizza was gorgeous. See the picture! The previous week in Oceanside, California, I had the Luscious Lola at Gianni's, and it was one of the best vegan pizzas, I had ever had, but this Veggie Detroit Style Pizza with easy cheese was one the best pizzas I've had in Boise. That sauce, sweet with a touch of heat. The veggies and the crust. soft inside, and crunchy on the bottom. I enjoyed all four slices. It was amazing. I don't know where Boise Crust is most of the time, but if I see that little pizza trailer, it's going to tempt me to order the veggie light cheese again.

The meat was good and both of our dishes had a good amount. The quesadilla came with pico and lettuce inside. I was asked if I wanted "everything" and I did say yes, but I've never had lettuce in a quesadilla so I assumed it was on the side. My bad. I will definitely ask for no lettuce next time. The two salsas they gave us were ok by themselves, but were very good on the food. Our order was ready in about 10 minutes. Customer service was very nice. Small menu, but what is on there is mostly done right. No seating outside the truck, so definitely prepare for to-go or eating in your car.
