    Spinny ride!
    Jill M.

What a cute little park! Found this gem on Yelp and I couldn't wait to take my son here to test it out. They have a few separate play areas, and some of them are shaped like fruits! My son really liked climbing on top of the Pineapple! He didn't really go into the Apple slide, but it looked fun. And the main play structure, which had a nice sun shade over it, was excellent for climbing. My little one loved trying to climb as high as he could. There was a pretty big slide, too! One of his favorite features is the spinny merry-go-round thing. He and other kids from the park got on while a good samaritan spun them round and round. No one wanted to get off! There's plenty of sidewalk around the park, so I was able to jump rope and a few kids rode their bikes around. Overall, a great neighborhood park for keiki and families to enjoy!

Aloha neighbors! Gotta give a shoutout to Konane Neighborhood Park - it's seriously one of the better parks around. The fruity vibes, fun obstacles for the kiddos, and that spacious green area with a cemented path But what I love most is that it's nicely fenced, giving that extra peace of mind. Now, here's the real talk - with HOA on the rise, let's all cross our fingers they keep this gem patched up. It would be such a shame to see it go downhill. Public announcement; to everyone who utilizes this park, let's do our part and make sure Konane Park stays the amazing hangout it is. Mahalo!

The park is very nice and is open to Hoopili residents and their guests. Depending on the time you go, it can be very crowded. I've been here numerous times when there were over 30 children playing on the apparatus. It is a pretty big park in itself and has different areas for kids to play on. There is also a big field for playing ball or other games. There aren't any restrooms in the park since the park is for residents and their guests and using the restroom would be done at their residence. Many that live in the Kapolei and Makakilo area also come to this hidden gem as I have learned from meeting other Parents at the park. It's a great place for kids to play and they also have a water fountain and Pavillion that can be rented out to Hoopili residents.

Heathly Puakenikeni tree with many beautiful flowers at the Apple Park.

Konane Neighborhood Park is so cute.... The playground equipment is very unique and children love the different style structures. My grandchildren call this the "Apple" Park because of the unique Apple climbing structure. This is kind of a secluded park at the end of Keahumoa Pkwy in Kapolei, but it has all the amenities most parks offer and in very good condition. We decided to have a picnic under one of the many trees on the beautifully manicured grass. It's really hot in Kapolei so I appreciate the shade from the trees. Speaking of trees there are several Puakenikeni trees with so many beautiful delicate flowers on them. I was amazed at their beauty and the fact that we were able to enjoy their tantalizing fragrance. You don't see these trees in your typical community parks. There is lots of parking along the park because most of the park growers just walk from their homes. A big pavilion with restrooms and lots of colorful garbage cans for trash. Best park on the Westside for a picnic.

Also know as the "Fruit Park" and located in Hoopili this is one my children's favorite park. There is a giant apple slide, a jungle gym with a lot of climbing activities, and also a round-about. There is turf on the playground which I absolutely love because of the fact that the kids run bare foot and their feet won't get muddy as compared to real grass. It's very windy on the corner of a residential neighborhood with about 15+ street parking along the park. There are also benches for parents to sit on to watch their children. There is shade over the playground so I don't need to worry about the kids getting sun burned.

Important info about this park: - It is for the private use of Ho`opili residents and their guests. - There is no restroom because it is assumed that residents will use the bathroom in their homes since they live in that area. - Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash.

    Beautiful playground!

I love coming here. The area is peaceful and not crowded. This park is nice and clean. I come here to bring my god kids all the time to play and let energy out. The playground is well kept. Parking is around the neighbor hood so be kind for everyone else to park.

I didn't even know this park existed until my cousin invited us to go to the park near their home. This little park is tucked away, you won't know its there unless you know someone living in that area. How to get there? Turn in by the Kroc Center in Kapolei and go all the way down.. it will look like you are going no where and all you see is houses being built but i promise your going in the right direction. Once you hit the end of the road the park is located on your right hand side, next to houses and town homes. You will need to find street parking. They have the cutest playground equipment ever! A apple slide, a pineapple play structure, and even ropes for children to climb. There is also a large green grassy area for children to run around in. Located on the opposite end of the park is a small pavilion. There is also a water fountain over there. I love the fact that there is avocado trees growing in this park. My kids enjoy going to the park here. This park is clean and like i said hardly anyone knows about this gem. I'm hoping it stays clean and doesn't get vandalized once people find out about it.

Charcuterie solo box eating it while I sit on the cute strawberries at the park....soooo good.

This park is sooooo beautiful. We went to Kapolei to pick up a great charcuterie board from my friend to celebrate my mom's birthday with a picnic. Check out her IG @grazehnl. We wanted to go somewhere where my little nephew can run around and we can enjoy our goodies. We saw this park on YELP and it did not disappoint. It was so clean and well maintained. The only thing is there are no bathrooms nearby. It was a really sunny day and there's no shade for those on the benches, but they have an umbrella looking shade for the kids and that's important. We definitely enjoyed our time there. It's definitely a great place for a picnic.

This Park is Beautiful! My son has friends who live in the neighborhood and I'm so glad he does or I would have never known this little gem existed! (Heads up the park does NOT have a restroom). I'm a plant and tree lover, I looovee the landscaping there are 'Ulu Trees and Hala trees and Paukenikeni, and native plants all along the perimeter! Seriously love it! There are also Avocado trees! The playground looks pretty new and is ideal for little one's who love to climb. There is a nice grass area, and a table and bench area. There is also a take a book nook (bring a book and exchange it for a different one). My son is learning about wind in Pre-K and was so stoked on the weathervane on top of the pavilion.

    Field and pavillon area.

Pros: peaceful, not well known or used, usually pretty empty, has b-ball court and large maintained grass area Cons: hot, no shade, playground is suited for 5 - 12 yr old (says the sign), not very toddler friendly, dingy bathrooms Some ppl come and just sit in their cars (maybe eat, meet up, or ?). I bring my kids occasionally since I work in Makakilo. Nobody bothers. Sometimes there are homeless, but it currently looks cleaned up! The park maintenance does pretty good maintaining this park. C&C could upgrade the bathrooms tho! 2 stalls in women's side, not good lighting, but water fountain works! Always bring your own TP in case...it is C&C parks afterall.

The two times that i've brought him here to play, there were no kids and we stayed pretty long, still no kids came. However there's a bunch of randoms that do park here for lunch break or to come chill in their cars or a bathroom break. Both times i came here, there were tow trucks that scout the parking lot making sure cars are using the appropriate parking stalls etc. i do like that The playground is fenced off due to the fact that it is right by the freeway.. by the way the freeway noise does not bother. I jus really like this spot because there isn't any kids whenever we go, perhaps not really favorable or well known spot.

This is exactly what happened to me! As we turned the corner bend, "Whoaaaaa this park is spacious and the playground is colorful"! Need to say both me and my son was super excited to check it out! 1) This is Park has its own lot. No need to worry about Parking on the street like most. There are ample parking. 2) Restroom is not your typical Park Restroom! From the outside is a small building on the right side of the playground. The Women's Restroom is very clean inside with 2 stalls (1 small / 1 large) and the best part it has *Baby Changing Station*, *Seat Covers* & *Soap Dispenser*! If you need to bring your baby in a stroller, no need to worry about getting the wheels dirty and wet. 3) Can't say enough how the colors really brightens the mood and has my son excited to play! It's safe for ages 3+ and with a fun challenge in the middle to get their mind stimulated. 4) Here's a fun twist, on the left side there's a Fitness Equipment Area. It's super convenient to incorporate a quick workout while your keiki play at the playground (of course, if they're old enough to play without assistance). Either way, there's playing space for both parents and keiki! 5) If you're an Ohana with a Family Dog, there's also a fenced off Doggy Area to the far left! I haven't been inside, but from the outside it looks quite roomy for the doggies to run around. 6) Alongside with the great variety of choices, there's a large field of grass! Perfect space to have practices, large groups to workout, let the keiki run around loose, and even kite flying! As large as this park is, you may want to bring an umbrella or baby tent for shade as there's not really anywhere to relax other than a tree in the back or near the restrooms. Upside, there's 3 tables if you want to kau kau as well! Hoalauna Community Park hits all the aspects you'd want for everyone! Let me tell you, it's a "ONE STOP SHOP"!

What more can you ask for in a community park?…read more Hoalauna provides something for everyone in your family, no matter their age! Your fur babies, too! 2 dog parks, multiple exercise equipments, playground for your little ones, picnic tables for you parents and kupuna's, an entire 30+ space parking lot, CLEAN restrooms; need I say more? There is also a ginormous grassy area that can be great to let your little ones one freely without getting too close to the road. One downside to the park; there isn't much shade. Aside from the minimal tree shade, and the shade from the umbrella partially covering the playground, there's not much to work with. Fixable by bringing your own umbrella (: We love this park! Unrelated to this review for the Makakilo park, I'm trying to get back into writing one review a…read moreday to make up for the slack over the past couple months. Now that I have more time on my hands, I will TRY to write a review everyday. Maybe in hopes to refine my writing skills, too. Lol. Anyways, I thought I'd write about the Makakilo park today. I don't visit often, but it's nice to relax and enjoy good food and company. I used to like the feel at the Kapolei park next to the rec center, but this park is nice as well. One thing I like about it is that there aren't that much people, if you're planning to go in the afternoon to evening time. That being said, you can bring your whole family, friends, and pets to enjoy the whole park to yourselves. Some features of the park: ~Basketball courts, a volleyball court, and tennis courts in the area. There are also nearby restrooms too. However, no seat covers, but there are doors for your privacy. ~Exercise equipment for early bird or late night owl work out. I would really very much appreciate it if these equipment were within walking distance of my house, so Makakilo residents that live nearby the park have a real treat. Monkey bars, climbing ladder, and sit-ups may be done on these equipment and instructions are posted too! ~Playground for the kiddies ~Water faucet for easily accessible water if need be ~Excellent for large gatherings. Just be sure to bring own tables and chairs as these are not at the park ~Wide courts for riding unicycles, bicycles, and scooters! ~Small parking lot, but adequate if carpooling Nonetheless, a nice park for recreation and exercise. There's that added breeze since this park is atop Makakilo. :-)
