TW: PTSD, gaslighting, stalking (full review on facebook) It's almost been a year since my experience with Koneko Studios and I'm still disgusted by it. To sum it up they treated me poorly, tried to reschedule, gaslighted me, got caught in a lie and had to admit Linda decided to travel to Italy on the date I booked and paid for, stole my money, when I contacted Linda she blocked me on IG, sent their tattoo artist friends to attack me on social media and Millie stalked me on Instagram for 7 months. The long story: I booked in February of 2018 through my email. And this first communication should have been my first red flag. I wanted to get traumatic scars covered for my birthday and was so glad to find a vegan tattoo salon close to where I lived at the time. I really loved Linda's flow of motion in her work and how well she could do botanical design so I requested her specifically. The very first email got back read only: "how old are your scars?" my husband paid through their "3rd party" invoice system and they scheduled me for June. even though by then I would be living in the Colorado Front Range, my family and I were more than willing to travel for something I felt was so vital for my healing. Then in April, I believe, Millie contacted me by my husband's phone which had never been provided to them directly, only through the invoice system. She stated she had been trying to get a hold of me for a week but I had only just changed my phone number 2 days before. She requested me to reschedule and I said I'll see if I could arrange that to be possible with our new jobs and didn't have much of an issue with rescheduling at first. I thought about it through the day and something didn't feel right so I responded and told her I would prefer not to reschedule if possible. She said it wasn't possible and I had to reschedule. I told her it honestly was not my fault they overbooked and that I would prefer to keep it for that same week. She became angry that I "blamed" her for overbooking and making sure to state thrice that they DO NOT overbook. I told her I was honestly confused and didn't mean to offend her but I wanted answers. Millie then stated that Linda would not be in the studio at the time and had other business to attend to. Okay, I thought maybe she had a wedding or other important event she couldn't get out of and that's totally understandable but.... Millie was caught in a lie and admitted linda would be traveling out of the country to Italy. I was appalled that she really had the nerve as a business woman and artist to take someone's money, promising them a service with no intention of staying true to her word and financial agreement. I looked at Linda's IG and that day alone went like this according to her story: coffee, manicure, salad lunch out, movie theater, fancy dinner. I had a hard time believing she was too busy for business. I called several times but no one ever answered. Over text again I asked to speak with Linda but Millie refused and continued to harass me into rescheduling. I kept asking and called out the business practice--that usually artists makes themselves available to collaborate with people who want their art--but in the case of Koneko Studios that is not possible. Millie then "caved" and gave me Linda's email... the email I originally used to book the appointment. millie was trying to make me run in circles with communication. I was obviously upset because you should be able to contact the owner of a business. Period. I began asking for my money back since no service was going to be provided and it was by no fault of my own. I was over it and no longer trusted Linda or her business to put ink into my skin. Millie and I got into it over legalities and I tore apart Koneko Studios joke of a "legally binding invoice agreement" but she blamed me for moving to Colorado, she blamed me for changing my phone number and kept trying to get me to just reschedule. I was so horrified & stressed that I didn't respond though she kept trying to get my response for two days. in those two days I couldn't eat and became physically ill to the point of a seizure & nonstop vomiting because the way Millie's gaslighting & harrassment triggered my PTSD. I only added this because I want everyone to know how serious this all was for me and still I feel that they truly did dehumanize me. Few days later I had pretty much let it go as best I could but I noticed on IG Linda had posted on her story "please don't send me DMs" I responded to the story and said she needs to communicate with her clients and she blocked me. it was extremely confusing but I let it go because what did it matter at this point? However, two weeks after Linda blocked me, guess where ALL of the Koneko Studios artists went for a little vacation? My city. At first I thought it was only one of the lash artists that I still followed but a while after they arrived back in Texas Linda posted photos of the whole team in the very mountains read more

GO BOOK WITH LINDA NOW! Koneko is such a hidden gem and I had the most pleasant and seamless tattoo experience, from booking through the actual session. The space is gorgeous and unlike any other studio I've ever been in. Booking was fast, easy, and Millie and Tristyn worked with me to accommodate my schedule since I am moving in a few weeks. The studio itself was so calming, filled with great Vegan and cruelty free products and bright plants. Linda was amazing. I had a vague-ish design in mind to incorporate some flowers and eucalyptus on the inside of my elbow, and she brought it to life. Other reviews have noted she is a little pricey, but you've got to understand that you're paying for 17 years of experience, a unique and beautiful style no one else has, and you can 110% trust she will make magic with whatever you bring her. Even though the elbow wasn't rainbows and kittens to tattoo, she worked fast and made me feel comfortable the whole way through. I have also been wanting to try microblading, and given how great my experience was, I have already made an appointment for my brows. All of Koneko's staff are knowledgeable and have great communication, from answering phones and questions, to booking any payment. You won't find a better studio. The later studios I visited, I felt that because this was my first tattoo they were treating me like crap, rushing me, and dismissive. BACK STORY: I had my brows done by Linda in January & touched up in March. Before going to her I was very self-conscious about my brows. I had tried all the makeup but honestly never really got the hang of filling them in or drawing them on. I had contemplated getting my brows done for about a year before going for it. To say I was a little apprehensive may be an understatement. I followed Linda on IG as well as other artists in the area and did my research. As far as I could tell she was the best with the most natural looking results. PROCESS: Booking my appointment was so easy, all done through text. Her assistant was very responsive and so nice, answering all of my questions in detail. The studio is very calming & beautiful, very different from most tattoo studios. When I arrived I checked in & told Linda would be with me shortly. I waited maybe 10 min. Linda was extremely professional she walked me though the entire process explained everything she was going to do and made sure I didn't have any questions. While I was waiting for the numbing cream to take affect I was offered a blanket. The actual micro blading was pretty quick and easy, nothing to get worked-up over. RESULTS: The finished product is exactly what I had hoped for natural and beautiful. I love that I don't have to mess with them whether I am wearing makeup or not. I've been following Koneko and all of their artists on instagram for a while now, I finally decided to just make an appointment for the tattoo I've been wanting for a year. I email the booking and within 24 hours I had paid my deposit and had a date set for a tattoo with Jade. About a week later, they reached out to reschedule as Jade was going to be out of town during the original date they set but that wasn't a big deal. Jade was an absolute dream. She is so talented and really brought my idea to life and I am completely in love! She stayed longer than the original appointment time to finish my tattoo all in one session rather than making me come back later. Not a good experience. The process to book an appointment is very inefficient and non-transparent in my opinion. Customer service did not meet my expectations in the slightest either. When I walked in for my first lash extension appointment, there were three employees at the front desk and no one greeted me so I immediately felt uncomfortable. About a month ago Bri did my fabulous unicorn tattoo that I adore. She was so kind while tattooing me too. Her art and technique is beautiful and I couldn't be happier with my piece or my experience. My best friend was getting a tattoo by Jade at the same time I was getting mine done. Jade treated both of us with such hospitality and kindness. My friend's tattoo is stunning and everything she ever dreamed it would be. Yesterday I popped in to the pop up market at Koneko. Jade immediately jumped up and came and gave me the biggest hug. She doted over my healed tattoo done by Bri and chatted with me like an old friend. I look forward to using Jade as my artist in the future. Her kindness has stood out and made a huge impression. I would recommend her and Bri to anyone looking to get a stunning piece of work added to their bodies. The atmosphere of Koneko itself is clean and beautiful. I love all the greenery. The natural skin care is wonderful and the natural light is refreshing compared to other studios I've been to. It's open and airy and does not feel like a tattoo shop. tl;dr version: Whole experience was very shady and unprofessional: insanely overpriced, waited an hour after my appointment time, never spoke with Linda prior to walking back to the table: the front desk guy went back and forth asking questions and even did the tracing!!! Him playing messenger between artist and client almost resulted in my tattoo being upside down. I've had a dozen smaller tattoos and I've never not talked with the artist prior to the appointment! When I checked out, I had severe sticker shock: my 10-minute tattoo was a whole weeks paycheck! I was led to believe during scheduling my tat would be the shop minimum: it was 2.5x that amount. When I finally got to see it in the mirror, my 'f' looks like a weird t/+ sign. I didn't feel like a customer at all, just another number to them. Long and detailed version: Last year, I had an emergency and was unable to get my tattoo, I then lost my $100 deposit. I tried once more to get my ink this year, waited 2 months for an appointment with Linda and put another $100 deposit down. Of course life happens again and my baby girl Lucy was on her way across the rainbow bridge. I almost cancelled again, but didn't want to lose another $100 since they make NO exceptions for cancellations. I showed up at my appointment time. I waited an additional hour before I got on the table. During that hour, the front desk guy kept asking me questions about my tattoo and going back to Linda then coming back to me then back to Linda...I was like, "can I just talk to the artist who will be doing my tattoo???" He even did the tracing!!! I was shocked! At the time, I was pretty out of it mentally due the situation with my 17 yr old feline, but now that I've grieved, I'm livid. This has NEVER happened before on my other tattoos. So I finally get on the table an hour later and Linda put the tracing on upside down - I almost didn't notice cuz it's on my back and looking in a mirror and all...but luckily I caught it. I was on the table for 10 minutes, EXACTLY 10 minutes, that's it. When I checked out, I paid an additional $ 510.00 !! Again, at the time, I wasn't mentally all there so I just clicked through their iPad, even left a hefty tip (yes I know I'm dumb) and raced home back to my baby girl (who passed 2 days later). I left messages to speak with her, and she left me a message saying that there was no mistake: I was charged correctly. I have several smaller tattoos and they've all been "shop minimum" over the years. There is no reasonable expectation a 10 minute tattoo should cost over $500, that's INSANE! I didn't meet the artist till I was literally on the table, NO PRICE WAS EVER DISCUSSED (tho I was led to believe it would be $200) and the front desk person did the tracing...it was very unprofessional. Adding in my prior deposit last year, it was a $600 10-minute tattoo. The Yelp price rating is $$...it needs to be changed to $$$$. Vegan inks are NOT that expensive! I wasn't tattoo'd with liquid diamonds! Geez... I'm all for supporting vegan and women businesses but this was hands down the worst experience I've had with tattoos and I have nearly a dozen. Unfortunately, I didn't read reviews or anything prior and wish I had since my story is similar to many others. UPDATE: In response to below, no I am not confused. I was texting with a friend, I was not called back till 5:01pm and the Square receipt (I x'd out the digits) is 15 minutes later: AMEX XXXX (Chip) Jul 12 2019 at 5:16 PM The tattoo was 10 minutes, I got up to the mirror to look at it, it was taped up, I started asking questions about the care and Linda said, "oh you've done this before, you've got it" but I was asking because I was out of it and forgot! I felt VERY rushed. So I went and checked out, and it was 5:16 pm. IT WAS A 10 MINUTE TATTOO. Check your cameras if you don't trust my Verizon records or Square receipt. I'm NOT trying to be cantankerous, I truly thought about not posting this review and update, but vegan female business or not, it was a horrible horrible experience and was very shady all around. From your response, doesn't look like business practice is going to change: you just want to continue blaming customers and it's our fault we aren't happy about the experience. read more

I walked in on a Saturday evening, looking to get a nose piercing. I was very pleased to know that appointments are not required for piercings, so that was already a huge plus for me. I believe my sister and I were the only ones in the salon at that time, so we were greeted and helped right away. Masimo, the piercer, came out and immediately helped me pick jewelry that will look good in my nose and also explained to me why, which was a good ice breaker and made me feel comfortable. Just a little warning, the jewelry they carry is a little more on the expensive side. I paid $40 for the piercing and $101 for the jewelry I picked, tax included. Masimo explained what he was doing every step of the way and provided great education. All aftercare procedures were verbal, nothing to take with you, but he did drill into my head "Don't touch it" which is working out for me lol. He also told me to come up to the shop for a follow up in a few weeks and told me to come in if I'm having any issues, like bumps or pain. It's nice to know that I can swing by at anytime.Overall It was an fantastic experience. Also, I REALLY love the aesthetic. Updating my review because since my first experience there I have gone back multiple times for many different services! I've had 3 tattoos with Linda now and each time she remembers details about my life and speaks to me like an old friend. She is always extremely kind and fair. I appreciate how quick she is given the amount of detail in the tattoos. Her apprentice Anna is a gem! I've gotten 2 tattoos by Anna and both are so fun. She and I speak every time I go into the shop and she really helps to create such a nice customer service experience. I had Mas change out a nose piercing of mine. He was so kind and gentle during the process. My original piercing was less than stellar, he did a great job helping me pick a piece of jewelry that would work with how the hole was angled. I would 100% go back to him! I've shopped here multiple times for the fun home items and vintage goods. Logan is so helpful and thoughtful as she helps you shop. She set aside multiple options for me that she thought would work with my body type and they have all become my favorite pieces. This place is worth every single minute and dollar. I love this little spot. Great artists in an great location with workable hours. A cute and simple studio with lots of little plants, a unique selection of jewelry, some merch and some really interesting natural and vegan products. I was pretty sceptical about having eyeliner tattooed so I met with the eyeliner artist (and piercer), Mosimo, for a visit and I just immediately got a good vibe from him. He is very personable but super professional at the same time. He explained the process and I didn't know this, but they use numbing gel! Also, for anyone with ICL lenses, my doctor cleared me for this. The day I went for the tattoos, it took about 2 hours but most of it was waiting to numb. If your only worry about this is the pain, well fear no more. I was absolutely amazed at how well the numbing worked and how little it hurt. I have a dozen tattoos and this was cake compared to all of them! I got top lid eyeliner only but if you can handle tattoos you can handle permanent eyeliner. I lost a little ink and the touch up was free. The healing was not too bad either. It was red the day of procedure and swollen the day after but that was basically it. Not much pain, just sore. They give you all the aftercare you need. I highly recommend Mosimo, hands down the sweetest most down to earth artist I have ever worked with. read more

I should have known this business would not treat customers properly from the beginning. I made a $100 deposit and asked for an appointment between 4-8pm. They responded that they only had a 2pm so I took it. Shortly after I decided that 2pm just wouldn't work so I requested to change my appointment. I was still planning on going there and wasn't trying to cancel - just a simple appointment change. Considering I had just made my appt and they accept walk-ins, the right thing to do would be to make it work. But they refused. I still came in for my appointment with high hopes... the artist was a very kind and professional guy. He was great. But when I got home, I saw there was a bump / error in the tattoo. It is obvious when I ask others to point it out to me. But when I emailed Koneko Studio they told me they "do not see the bump" and to have a great day. Cool. I responded back with a circle around the bump in a photo and they did not email me back. Ghosted. Very disappointing business to deal with because they obviously do not care about the customer. read more

I was able to schedule an appointment with Bri because she had some last minute openings. I was very excited because I loved her work and it was right before my birthday. So, I ended up choosing one of her own pieces to do and I had paid my deposit and that was that. Day of my appointment, I show up a little before my appointment time and the lady at the front desk had me fill out the waiver and such and I waited for Bri. They bring out a sketch of the tattoo I was getting to see the sizing and everything and I had them make it just a bit smaller. They finally take me back and Bri puts the actual stencil on my arm and has me take a look in the mirror to make sure I like the placement. Once agreed, she gets started. The actual tattoo process only took about 30 minutes. Once she was done, I get up and look and it turned out great! I love it. Bri takes a picture of it and then tells me aftercare and I head up front to pay. Well. I had already paid a $100 deposit that goes towards the tattoo and I also got a discount because I filled one of her open spots. My total came out to $400. So in total, I paid $500 for this tattoo and that is with a "discount." Now, maybe I have the wrong idea about tattoos but I in no way imagined that this tattoo at this size would be that much. It just does not seem like a $500 piece at all. I understand you get what you pay for and if you want a nice tattoo, you should expect it not to be cheap. But when I had seen the size on her Instagram and how big I actually got it, I would have thought no more than $200. I understand I am partially at fault because I should have asked about how much before even booking and now I have learned my lesson the hard way. Overall, I think that this shop and any shop should make sure there is an agreed amount before any work is done. I was never given any kind of quote on how much I should expect to pay. I felt blindsided and honestly this just completely took away from the excitement of my new tattoo. This place is super cute, but I'm giving three stars due to the lack of selection for piercings. I'd been eyeing this place for a while on Insta, and finally had time to make the drive to go in. I initially planned to get a walk-in tattoo from Bri, but someone arrived before me, and his tattoo was going to take up the entire time for walk-ins that day. So, I settled for a piercing instead. Their usual piercer was not there that day. I got a cartilage piercing, and was given basically two options: either purchase from a small selection super expensive Maria Tash pieces, or choose from a measly selection of overpriced CZ studs with a push pop post. I can't speak to what most piercing studios use, since this my first experience, but I feel like the push pop was a terrible option for my cartilage piercing. The back was too loose and kept falling off. It was also just an awkward piece. The back piece was large and would push forward through my cartilage and cause it to bleed. Because of the worthless nature $65 piece-of-crap I purchased from Koneko, I had to switch to an earring with a regular post much earlier than recommended, and months later, I'm still having to baby this piercing. I may have to let it go due to the trauma my cartilage experienced from the push pop, but considering I paid a total of $125 for my piercing, I really hate to do that! I'm willing to pay a little more for a stellar experience, but this was not that. I'm still considering Koneko for a couple of small tattoos, because I really love their work, but I've been having a lot of difficulty getting a straightforward estimate on pricing from them, despite sending a couple of super descriptive emails. I had high expectations for this place. Still willing to give them another try and hoping for a better experience. It really is a neat and unique space. read more

I for one, had a great tattoo, not a great experience. I had a little bee done by Bri. I got there right before my appointment (right before they actually opened), and was waiting outside and then as soon as I got inside I filled out my paperwork, and waited for Bri thirty minutes after my appointment time. Then got my tattoo done, while attempting to speak to Bri, with a short attitude in return. My tattoo maybe took 20 minutes and was a whole $350. For my tiny tattoo. I was shocked. I didn't realize it was an issue until I went to a tattoo artist who used to work at Koneko, who charged me $150 for a tattoo that took longer than Bri's. I was shocked. Got my first "real" tattoo here done by Bri! I thought it was going to take forever but she actually tattoos really quickly and does great work. I am 100% obsessed with it. The studio itself has such a cool vibe and is also so clean. It makes you feel comfortable. All the girls that work there are so friendly and sweet. Some people say it's pricey, I think you definitely get what you pay for when it comes to tattoos so I don't mind paying a little extra. I also like that they sell good quality after care products there so you don't have to wonder what you should take care of it with. I will definitely be back when I'm ready for more! read more

Waste of time. Waste of money. Audacity to blame me, a client, on a mishap in scheduling when it was PROVEN that the woman she hired to do all the scheduling messed up. NEVER APOLOGIZED for pointing blame at me for her employees mistake. Her prices are so ridiculous and the job was incredibly shoddy. I had to draw on my own eyebrows in order for her to do them and then she didn't even do then REMOTELY even. I didn't come in expecting twins, but sisters, instead I walked out with cousins. Will not be returning. Front desk receptionist was really nice though. Update: I've wrote this review because I was told in person that the touch up appointment was going to be covered due to the extreme mishap of my scheduled appointment. After getting told my touch up would cost $250, after already paying $650 and being told my touch up would be covered, I wrote this review. I have no paper trail of being told my touch up with being included, just my word as a customer. Disappointment was the ending experience of what I received with Koneko Studio. My experience at Koneko studio was terrible! The first time I went I waited an hour and a half after being on time so they wouldn't cancel my appointment. Then the appointment for a large tattoo that I made seven months prior was rescheduled to hours earlier... two days before my LONG AWAITED appointment date...When I couldn't make it because of work... They told me I would lose my deposit and have to reschedule-giving them ANOTHER deposit. They reserve the right to change your appointment "due to the nature of tattooing"... How did they know they would be running two hours ahead on my appointment date? I can understand running late... due to the nature of tattooing... but keeping my hundred dollars because you are going to run early...It was obvious to me that someone more important who was spending more than the 1000.00 I was spending needed an appointment and you gave mine to them. I'm obsessed with this place. I got a shoulder piece from Bri last year and I still get asked if it's fresh. Such incredible work, a dope environment, and all around amazing staff. Itching to get another. Also love that every artist there wants your vision to come to life so if you want a "trendy" tattoo- no judgement from them. But also highly recommend taking a look at their sketches because they are bomb. Also super clean and they are cruelty free and vegan! read more

Let me start by saying, I have 4 tattoos by Bri and I love them!!! The only reason I'm leaving the fifth star off is because of the price-and everytime I go in I end up waiting at least an hour after my appointment time. The last time I went in, Bri had just started another tattoo right when my appointment time was. I ended up getting mine started 2 hours after my own appointment time. Little bit of a bummer, but the work is still great. So my first tattoo by Bri is a big piece on my arm. (First photo.) This tattoo was quoted to me before her move to Koneko. It was only $500!!! Which is an amazing price. The next two, I got done at the same time. And in total I paid my $100 deposit and the $900 dollars I was charged at the time of my appointment. Which made the total $1000 Since so had been tattoo'd by Bri before, I didn't think there would be this large of a price jump. That being said, Bri does an amazing job and I LOVE my tattoos!! Definitely will ask ahead of time about price! On another note, the studio is beautiful and everyone is very professional and kind. read more

it really sucks to have to leave this review for koneko. i started following this studio before it was even open. my friend and i started following Linda while she was still tattooing at Elm Street. We couldn't wait to start frequenting Koneko as soon as it opened! I mean who wouldn't love amazing tattoo artists, a vegan studio, woman-owned, and a peaceful aesthetic. That was all wasted VERY quickly. my first bad experience was my very first experience at Koneko. Linda is essentially known for her microblading, to the point where she can rightfully charge $650 for them. when i arrived for my appointment, i waited and hour and 10 minutes (post-appointment time) for linda to finally waltz in for her first appointment of the day. after applying the numbing cream to my eyebrows, she informs me that it needs to sit for 30 minutes and shell be right back to remove it and begin. she walked to the back of the studio and did not return once for another hour. she then began microblading my eyebrows. a couple of assistants/coworkers came and sat around me while she worked. they began conversation about murder podcasts while ignoring me. i then tried to chime in to involve myself in the conversation and THEY LITERALLY IGNORED MY COMMENT AND ME. they just continued their own conversation literally over my body. my sister once purchased a gift certificate to Koneko for my Christmas present. when she went to check out at the desk, Linda demanded to know how the gift certificate would be used in the store. why on earth does someone buying a gift certificate for your store need to let you know how it will be used by the person they are gifting it to?? she gave the name of my tattoo artist because she assumed that's how i would use it. the entire time my sister was being questioned by Linda at the counter, Linda refused to speak directly to my sister. she only spoke to Logan (the front desk girl) and Logan relayed the conversation between the two. they were all standing right next to each other at the counter. my tattoo artist ended up leaving Koneko somewhat recently. of course, i planned on following her wherever she goes because i don't trust anyone else's work but hers. after finishing one of my lash appointments at Koneko, i asked Logan at the counter how i could use my gift certificate there if it was designated for Bri and she no longer worked there. Logan continued to bash Bri and lie about how she left Koneko. Then proceeded to let me know they could refund it to the card used or use it with Linda or her apprentice. no thanks. it's really not the best look for a studio or any place of business to bash their previous employees or clients to any degree. its flat out unprofessional. speaking of unprofessionalism, they also post condescending, fake, misleading posts to subtweet their former employees. referencing stealing and drug use when their allegations are based off of their own made up rumors. its ridiculous. they treat their employees as if they are property and they own them. they even threaten former employees for continuing their services and career after leaving Koneko. as if Koneko is the last stop on every employees career life, PLEASE! these artists brought their talent to Koneko and made it what it is. they still have their own talent when they leave don't even get me started on scheduling. for whatever reason, Koneko outsources their scheduling services to a single woman named Millie who lives in a completely different state. she is extremely rude and short. it almost seems as if she cons you out of your money with deposits. for example, my tattoo artist was running a discounted tattoo special. she told everyone that if they submitted their deposit before a certain date, they would receive the discounted special. after i booked through millie and made my $100 deposit, she then notified me that if i wanted the discounted price for the tattoo, i shouldve said that from the beginning and id have to book another appointment with another deposit. ive heard other customers throughout Koneko complain heavily about how rude Millie is. this studio had the potential to be an absolute haven, but sadly turned into an over-priced disappointment. read more

1 star is too many. The most petty, pathetic, immature customer service I have encountered in Dallas. Making an appointment is hard- they just choose a day and time that works for them and they don't care what day or time fits with your schedule. That was the first red flag. I paid a deposit of 350 to get my appt booked 5 months later (long wait list). In the interim they texted me with a change in my appointment- they didn't consult me. 14 days prior to my appt. I called them to discuss a reschedule because I could not make that date work despite my best efforts. They refused to let me change the appointment. They told me they would keep my money, put me back on a 5 month waitlist and I would have to pay 350 AGAIN for an appointment. Oh and they sent me these "terms" AFTER I tried to reschedule and claimed that I agreed to these terms when I booked my appointment. I did not. Meanwhile I have received zero services from them, never even set foot in their studio. I communicated with 3 different people who refused to let me speak with the artist I had an appointment with. I thought surely she would want to know how her front desk people are sabotaging her welfare and business with terrible customer service. They did promise a phone call back - which I never received. I filed a complaint with AMEX which was quickly followed by Koneko studio staff harassing me by voicemail, email, and text message and I quote "If you're trying to cancel, please be professional about this and don't try to take money out of a small business owners pocket". Classic gaslighting and projection. They took MY money, disrespected MY time, and were UNprofessional. I called them 14 days prior to my appointment in an effort to be courteous and allow time for them to find someone to fill my spot (it shouldn't be hard if there is a 5 month waitlist).
